A fairytale castle (shame the food costs a King's ransom).
The castle is well preserved and looks stunning in the lake/moat surrounding it. The grounds are huge and immaculate. Kids play area could be a tad bigger, but they have literally acres to run around in, plus a great maze and free activities like falconry displays. That's before you even get to the castle house.

Beautiful place and well worth travelling to visit, just bring a picnic.

Stunning place to spend the day with beautiful grounds, lots of history and plenty of places to explore and relax. To get the best value from the ticket prices simply come back again and again as all tickets are valid for 1 year!

The castle and grounds are fantastic. There something to do for everyone: lots of opportunity to learn the history of Leeds Castle, plenty of walks in nature, activities and areas for kids. A great day out!

Brilliant day out. Grounds are stunning. Perfect day for picnic AND take your hound providing you keep it/them under control. Castle very interesting. Our 5 year old granddaughter was very excited by the armour & lances telling us all about Elsa & Frozen, brought the magic alive for her. Highly recommended.

Beautiful from the outside. Inside disappoints a little as it's reasonably obvious that the interior is comparatively new but made to look old. There are much, much better castles and stately homes to visit in the UK.
I'd recommend giving this one a miss and seeing a more genuine and nicer example.

Leeds Castle is a great castle to tour. It's very pretty and I recommend getting the tickets for a year because you can just enjoy the grounds when the weather is nice. I thought the hedge maze was quite a lot of fun, too!

They say its 'the loveliest castle in the world'. I can't say for sure as I clearly haven't been to every castle in the world but it is certainly the best castle I've ever visited. The grounds are incredible, some of the best kept green spaces in Kent. The castle is also beautiful, riddled with rich Kentish culture and world recognised history. The staff here are also amazing. The single downside that I can find with Leeds Castle is the rather high price of food and drink (I'd recommend taking a picnic). Lovely castle and would highly recommend!

I think there is not much to see in the castle (same as Hever) but the surrounding area is lovely. I didn't like it for 2 reasons:
1. Waste from geese and ducks are everywhere and it put me off
2. No time table for the train. We waited for 30 mins and decided to walk instead. On the way back, we were right at the castle stop but the guys didn't let us in because we were "later than schedule"

My husband and I spent a lovely couple of days here 2 weeks ago. The grounds and castle were breathtaking. Our room was lovely, with all the usual complimentries, the bathroom was massive, big bath and separate shower. We ate all meals on site, very nice, and the staff were friendly, attentive and informative. The castle was super, transported back in time. We had a thoroughly lovely time and would certainly return. Well worth a mention is the maze! Not forgetting the falconry. Excellent value for money.

Stayed October 2014, travelled as a couple

It's one of the most beautiful castles I ever saw. I really enjoyed the idea of paying a full year ticket, the landscapes are unbelievable, and this year they are celebrating 900 years of existence. The rooms inside the castle are well preserved and they are full of history, you can even try the small train or take a ride on the boat across the lake. If the weather is nice and sunny I strongly recommend to go and check it out! ps bring a picnic blanket, they have loads of areas where you can sit and enjoy, that's what I'm going to do next time.:)

They call it as the most beautiful castle in world! It's true indeed. Castle is built on an island and surrounded with a beautiful lake and garden. Even the maze and the gretto below the maze are worth visiting. Falcon prey is an added attraction. Enjoyed the day thoroughly.

The castle is not too big for kids to enjoy and there is a great playground. Buggies are not allowed into the castle itself though they are fine in the grounds. I don't think the upper floor is wheelchair accessible.

Lovely walk through the grounds to reach the castle. Maze and play parks good fun. Nice little boat and train ride back to gift shop/car park which you pay for separately to entrance fee. Ice creams etc overpriced and very expensive to get in overall but the price you pay is for an annual pass which is good if you are local.

Very lovely castle and grounds. You pay a fee to enter but it gives you a year pass to come as many times as you like.. Perfect for taking your kids, have a maze and play park, birds of prey and a battle of Britain tent (didn't go in as it looked too busy) weather was on our side so it made the day 100% better! Castle itself was good, many parts that you can't enter but I suppose that's just the same as any castle I've been in! The geese were a little bit of a problem as we couldn't get past some of them (they had eggs and was protecting them) but it was a problem as it was right outside the door for entering the castle. Staff should have known about this and maybe opened a different entrance. Apart from that was a lovely day, restaurant was very over priced so take packed lunch!

Wonderful place! Plan to be here for a few hours, there's the castle, a hedge maze, falconry mews, gardens and more! I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I didn't think the maze would have been difficult, I've done my fair share of western corn mazes. Boy, was I wrong. Hedge maze stumped me more than once!

Great family day out

Great family day out
The ticket is pricey but gives you access to it for a whole year, which if you live close is definitely worth it
There's a huge park and the castle itself is beautiful to see, holds a lot of history
Some kids activities and a very fun maze with a grotto in the center
If you have kids they will definitely enjoy the huge play area

Pay once visit for a year!
