Beautiful surroundings including a maze and a huge green area where all kind of birds are welcoming the tourists. The castle has got plenty of rooms well furnished in different moments of its history and owners. It's worth it!!

My wife and I spent a wonderful afternoon here despite on and off rain. The staff were exceptionally friendly many being local volunteers, they love the place so much. Don't be afraid to talk to them their knowledge is free and they know so many snippets about not only the castle but the family who lived there, not found in any book. The boat ride across the lake is good fun at the end of the day as is the train ride back to the main gate. Don't go into the castle via the main entrance you'll miss out. Go in along the moat to the right of the castle and in through a small back door via a wonderful wine cellar. The wine in the must be worth a few pounds for sure. Also the gardens up beyond the castle are a well worth the effort. We can't wait to visit for a whole day next time, with a well packed picknick.

Beautiful castle and pretty wooded park, well maintained, there are several species of birds. There are beautiful play structures for children. Entry a little expensive I find compared to other castles, but you can spend a good day with family.

Great place to visit for the family.

Great place to visit for the family.
You pay once for entry and your tickets last all year.

The castle is beautiful and there are plenty of staff around for assistance. Unfortunately you cannot use buggies around the castle which is understandable, but they do provide a buggy park.
Past the castle is a large maze for adults and kids to enjoy and just past this is a large castle play area.
Plenty of facilities around and wheelchair/pushchair friendly around the grounds.

Really the loveliest Castle in the world. Beautiful interiors with stunning flower compositions; amazing park perfect for a weekend picnic with family and friends. Try not to get lost in the maze!

Leeds Castle was originally a manor of the Saxon royal family. The first castle was an embankment enclosure whose wooden palisade was converted to stone and equipped with two towers along the perimeter. This has now disappeared. Traces of Norman arches were found at the beginning of this century.
The castle came into the possession of Edward I (1278). He rebuilt much of the castle as it appeared at the beginning of his reign expanding it and providing an external stone curtain around the edge of the largest island, with cylindrical shape and flanking towers and a square-shaped water-gate on the south -East. The Castle is really suggestive, it deserves both the show with the hawks and the visit of the family labyrinth.

Heaven on earth. Wonderful scenery and atmosphere. Not cheap for one visit, but the ticket can be used repeatedly over following 12 months. Good quality restraunt and cafe. Bird displays. Very friendly ducks! And a beautiful castle and grounds. Excellent children's play areas. And a fun maze.

This castle is very pretty and offers a pleasant setting if the weather allows it, only downside the zeal of the people who work there, trying to scrape your money by explaining that the journey from the entrance to the estate with the castle and the castle is long, and it is better to take the little train, which costs extra money.

Leeds Castle was a great experience, but for the entry price it would've been nice to have a little more interaction with the staff as you walked through. It was very much a self guided tour and if you missed the pamphlet in the first room it was next to impossible to know what was going on. Despite that it was great! The history of the castle came alive, it was absolutely stunning. Very family friendly, and the maze and gardens were a highlight!! Lots to do outdoors and the food was delicious at all the little restaurants! Once again great place for families!

Worth to visit, unfortunately still little original. Expensive ticket, where you have a whole year again inside, but as a foreign tourist you have nothing to. Definitely deserves title of most beautiful castle.

We have annual passes so go quite often. The kids aren't really old enough to understand all the history stuff but love the adventure park! We watched the jousting contest which was really good event. Made all the more interesting with different tents and people dressed up showing medieval crafts and what not.

Wonderful place to visit. Been twice already and haven't even managed to visit the castle yet. There is so much to do in the gardens and grounds with birds of prey displays, and the kids love the new play parks.

Castle closes at 3.30pm, but entrance fee lasts a year supposedly
Maze is very fun but closes at 4pm; recommended time required to solve it is about 20min

Initial thoughts were it was expensive , but then again I got a full days experience out of the place , plenty to do and see , Stunning scenery , great buildings (and for comparisons sake ... what do you pay for a visit to the cinema nowadays ?) ... oh and your entry fee entitles you to return for a full 12 months , just a shame we live at the other end of the country

My boyfriend and I visited the Castle beginning of July, i am registered disabled, he didn't have to pay. The access to areas for the disabled are second to none,, the staff were amazing and helpful and very informative. There are ways around the castle and lifts for wheelchair users. and lovely smooth surfaces around the gardens. The upkeep of the castle is just amazing quite amazed that the Government give NO money to help it is purely done on the 'organised days' they hold...

Excellent castle and grounds, too much for one day, so we'll be back with tickets that last a year. The main castle is from 3 phases of construction, centuries appart, but blend very well.

A beautiful, peaceful place with stunning views and a lot of history. Even just a walk around the gardens is amazing. The food here is ok and very over priced but the staff are brilliant. If you are coming to an event here leave some extra time for travelling as it can be quite manic once you leave the M20. There is plenty of parking for cars and coaches but again for major events get there early.
