We had reservation at 6 but were seated after 6.20 due to the party which was happening just before. Food was average quality, not what I expected. We went for Summer Menu and I don't recommend it. Especially very old and hard funnel cake (creme brulee also not great). Venue more suitable for weddings (spectacular view) rather than fancy dinner since good chef is definitely missing there. Won't come back.

I was here only once and it was for a wedding so feel free to adjust my rating as needed. That being said, it was a very nice place. Very formal. Great views of Pittsburgh along the river - day and night. Our food was a little dry, but I am guessing it was the heat lamps and delayed dinner.

It's a beautiful place, with good food and drinks. Very expensive, with a beautiful view. The bartender was delightful, the wait staff was great. However, the bathrooms were not what I expected. The ladies room was just ok as far as cleanliness. There are 3 stalls. I works fine, the other one had a door that doesn't work and the 3rd was out of order. I think if they all worked correctly they would be very private as they are each their own little room, but in this case they were just ok. The men's room had one urinal with no deodorizer

The Lemont boasts the best views in the city and the food never let's down. On top of that the staff and management are always on their A game. Not only do I enjoy eating at the Lemont but my company, Higgins Painting, does all their paint/wall covering. They bring us in atleast twice a year to update and clean up all the paint and wallpaper. The Lemont goes above and beyond to make sure not only are they preparing the best foods but also taking care of their restaurant to give it's customers the best experience possible. This place is truely in a class of its own. Stop waiting and try the Lemont for yourself, you won't be let down!

View was excellent. Salad was bitter. Chicken looked pink, which I don't think is how it's supposed to be. Portions were meager. Dessert was good -- nice sized slice of cheesecake with assorted berries. One-ply toilet paper in men's room after diarrhea kicked in was disappointing.

There is no doubt that the view is the best in Pittsburgh. I went for restaurant week for the first time in my 40 years in Pittsburgh.
The wait staff was very warm and friendly helping us with the limited restaurant week menu. The food though was underwhelming. My filet was excellent. Cooked medium with just enough redness. It was delicious all the way through. The scallops left a lot to be desired. The color was unattractive and the taste was blahhh. I thought the mashed potatoes might have been made from the box but my dinning partner who has a cooking back ground said the probably pre cooked a big pot of them and just reheated as needed.
Dessert was good with a delicious pecan pie served with ice cream.
Great view, underwhelming food.
Won't be going back.

Went there for my parents 50th Anniversary, the whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Lois was so accommodating and efficient. The view , the food, the service, and the dessert was amazing! It was a perfect choice.

The only positive thing that I have to say is that is has a nice view of Pittsburgh. Other than that, wedding vendors and clients (brides & grooms) are treated very poorly, the food is terrible and lacks in taste, the rooms are very dark with ugly mood lighting and the staff members are very rude and tend to literally push you out of their way. The last time I was there the staff members were rearranging a few tables for a wedding reception. I witnessed a staff member kick someone's purse across the room and leave it there just because it was in their way! We have experienced situations like these many times before at The Le Mont. :( Pathetic.

I had a fabulous night celebrating my Mom's 60th birthday this past weekend. I had originally tried to book a banquet room but they were filled with graduations and weddings. The Le Mont said I could make a reservation in the main dining room. That surprised me since we had 21 people in our group but it really worked out great.

Went for lunch and it was a really good experience (and more affordable), nice lunch menu and very good service. we were in and out in less than an hour. Place was really busy, enjoyed it all.

Very nice! I wanted to book my wedding here but they will not do a package for the alcohol... yeah. I wasn't enthused by that at all. They want you to have a tab and when it's done, it's done. So... your wedding guests after a certain point will pay for their own drinks. I don't think so. I ended up booking elsewhere. They were friendly and accommodating when I asked questions, but ultimately lost my business.

This is an excellent restaurant with a wonderful view of the city. My husband and I recently attended a family wedding. There are quite a few steps, but no elevator for any one who may have difficulties navigating them.

Wonderful experience! ! This restaurant continues to deliver the beauty - inside and out as well as amazing food. The four of us had dinner last night and everything from start to finish was perfection! Drinks, soup, salad, entree and dessert were all delicious. Our waiter Marco, was attentive as well as manager, Dani, who both checked in occasionally to ensure everything was as it should be! We will be returning soon!

Service was great but we were very disappointed with the food quality. Flavor wasn't quite right on a couple dishes and the scallops in particular were rubbery and fishy. Quite disappointing for fine dining.

This place gives you an amazing view of the city. The steak was cooked to perfection but the mashed potatoes came out stiff which wasn t a great presentation. The tastes as a whole were good tho. The menu was rather limited with limited side option.

They rolled out the desert tray on wheels with cakes cut at your table. I had a roasted almond cake that was far out good. I m not a cake guy but this was impressive.

I reserved the table for 8:00 PM on 03/03/2018 for 2 under name Abdi. It was my wife's birthday. We arrived at 7:51 and waited about 5 minutes to be seated because the hosted lady was chatting on the phone and no one take care of us. Ones they seated us we sit there for 15 minutes and no waiter/waitress even come up to us with the menu or even asked us if we would like to have any drinks?!
After few minutes one of the waitresses noticed us and asked the other waiter if we are her customers?! Than they start to argue with each-other who's suppose to serve us!!!
Finally I asked for a manager. Manager comes up and starts to offering me something for free instead of apologizing for what happened. Do you guys really think that you can mistreat people, be so unprofessional and that through at us free appetizer and all will be fine???
I've left that restaurant I felt mistreated and I felt that the manager looked down on us!!!
Very unprofessional. don't suggest to go the anyone!!!

I had a weird vibe walking into this place honestly. It just seemed dated. Mild critique there. Maybe some people love the atmosphere. The view is incredible for sure.

We decided to come here because we read through the menu which sounded outstanding. We ordered escargot which was bland .It was almost like they didn't use any spices. They were cooked well enough that the texture was good though.

My partner ordered the lamb and I ordered the duck. I love duck. It's one ofy favorite things .And to see that it had an apricot sauce on it just made my mouth water. However, this was the worst duck I've ever had. Tough and chewy. The fat was not rendered and the skin wasn't even close to crispy. I never send things back but this was just terrible.

I ended up getting the lamb dish as well as a replacement and aomehow I was able to get a new dish on 5 minutes. This definitely tells me that these entrees are not made to order .The lamb was tender don't get me wrong. And it was good .Not great. The whipped potatoes carrots and green beans were fine as well. Maybe I'm just a particular millennial or whatever .I just wasn't excited about any of the dishes.

Desert was okay too. Something bourbon with chocolate bacon. Pretty tasty.

All in all I just wasn't wowed. There are plenty of other places at this price point and lower that I know are excellent every time . Someone on another review compared it to wedding food and I think that hits the nail on the head . This stuff might be acceptable to an older crowd perhaps. My grandmother might love this stuff . 2 stars just because the service was decent and the desert was good too.

Okay one last thing. Maybe this is a nit pick. The men's room had a big tear in the wall paper and instead of having a nice refillable aoap dispenser, there was just a bottle of Dial gold placed next to the ornate sink. Super tacky and lazy honestly.

The building and view are beautidul....and that's the only reason why I gave it two stars. The waitress had limited knowledge on fine dining cuisine, the calimari was over cooked so we told the waitress, she returned it to the kitchen and came back out asking if we wanted something else and declines to remake the dish stating "that's just how they make it. they won't make the dish again because that's how they cook it and it will come out the same way." My father asked for fresh lime in his beverage and the waitress said she'll have to check and see if they have any limes, that they didn't have many in stock. The young man filling our water and butter on the table was smacking gum so loud you could hear it across Pittsburgh. He also refilled our table water by reaching over us, so instead of pulling the water glass off the table and pouring it properly he poured the water with the glass directly ont to the table resulting in spilling ice cubes. I had chucks of solid cheese in my pasta that wasn't melted, missing tomatoes, my dad's escargot was over cooked, my boyfriends steak was flavorful but a poor cut of meat & they ran out of half of their dessert options. Overall they are just stuck in the 1970's with their black tie outfits and old school menu. Save your money, enjoy the view from the overlook and find another restaurant with better quality.

The view and the interior design of this restaurant are phenomenal, but I was a bit disappointed with food. I came for a wedding reception and the appetizers and the main dish were just ok which in my opinion didn t meet the expectations of the venue. I thought it was only me, but other people shared same thoughts with me.

Went for Thanksgiving. Do not recommend. Saw the LeMont had Thanksgiving dinner (as a buffet-not my fav) but decided to give it a try. Mistake. Overbooked, lack of wait staff, dirty plates on the buffet, and lines all over.

The place was overbooked. They would be better served charging 20% more and booking 20% less diners. This was exacerbated by the lack of staff. With a smaller party of four, we were overlooked for 15 minutes after we were seated. The server approached-what did we want to drink? How about a drink menu or wine list?! 15 minutes more for the waiter return to order. Those mediocre drinks were the only drinks we saw. My water was refilled once.

The pace of our meal was glacial, except for the check-promptly placed, collected, and returned. Meanwhile, the table seated to our left entered when we did, were brought drink menus to begin, drinks quickly, and were doted upon by the server. When the owner came over to personally welcome them, all became clear.

The buffet located in the rear room had a line that stretched into the dining space in the front room. The plates provided still had remnants of the previous diners choices. After digging through to find a visibly clean plate, the carving station ran out of turkey. We were told one would be out in three minutes. So I waited. I mean, TURKEY! The carving table staff were lovely and kept sending people back to check. Nope! 3 more minutes. 15 minutes later, the turkey arrived. When I return to my seat, everyone else was almost or completely finished with their dinners and the rest of my food was cold. The food was passable, but not chef-made unless adding cranberries to store bought cranberry sauce is now high cuisine.

The one bright spot was the desserts! Whoever made/purchased these did a fantastic job. They were not dry, not overly sweet, and the selection was large. My hat off to you!

I didn t expect a five star dining experience on a holiday, but this was about the level of a high end cafeteria.

We were here celebrating my nephew's 21st birthday, a group of 9. Three use walkers, and it was a bit of a production getting everybody in, so be sure to ask about the handicapped entrance if there are some in your party that need it.

"Business Casual" is the dress code here, but that doesn't mean stuffy service. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, as well as eager to help and please.

The restaurant itself encourages positive attitude, resplendent in timeless decor of crystal chandeliers and brass railings. The view is the best in Pittsburgh, with the area we were seated actually over the side of the hill with The Point and the rest of the city below.

The food is top notch also, many of us getting the "Spicy Surf and Turf" from the Winter Celebration Menu. In every case, the steaks were cooked to perfection, as well as the shrimp and scallops, and all of it tender and flavourful.

Not much else to say, besides thank you for an excellent dining experience

My wife and I were there for an event so I can't speak about the restaurant itself but I can say that the room and the service were great. On the other hand, the food was disappointing at best, although this may be attributed to the volume of meals being served.

There is nothing "upscale" about this place bescides the price. Garbage food served masquerading as high class. The place is extremely tacky with its artificial decor and cheap faux design. The table lamp was dusty and soiled. The bathrooms are horrid with the extremely garbage quality fixtures and they left extra rolls of toilet paper sitting on the backs of toilets. The faux brass (or at least extremely cheap) was barely properly attached to the dirty sink. The food was cold and tasted of nothing special and wasn't properly prepared. I've literally had food from the double T diner that was more than twice as good. The chefs there would laugh at their culinary "skill." While the servers were excellent at what they did it sure wasnt anything compared to the 5 star price they asked for. I know high quality food service and this most definately wasnt it. It's a sham of a resturant that takes advantage of the gullible lower class by giving the impression that they are paying for a classy establishment when in fact they are receiving lesser service than a cheap roadside diner. 1/5 would not go again and I hope that nobody is gullible enough to frequent their establishment. I hope that quite a few secret reviewers go and have this sham if a resturant shamed out of business. Thy claim to be "award winning" but I'd love to see their credentials.

View is spectacular. Restaurant is beautiful. Food was good but not great, same as wait staff. Drinks were well made. Bathrooms were not well kept. I had far better memories from the 70s and 80s than the experience produced overall. We won't be back.

Guess it was the event (New Years eve), but it was early (5:00). Food was ok but took long for main dish to be served. Valet was less than okay. When they brought our car it was across the street and it was slick and my wife and I (She is mildly handicapped) had to cross the road and walk to our stuck behind other cars. Wasn't much of a valet! Not sure if we would return

If you're looking for a simple, stress-free, elegant wedding with an amazing view, look no further. The LeMont provides an amazing value for any wedding.

The LeMont was a dream to work with. Their experienced staff worked with us efficiently on all of the details of our reception. They take care of a lot of the details that other places won't: they'll provide you a wedding cake, all of the linens, table numbers, set up the entire reception space including decorations and cookie table, and handled all food and liquor, all for an extremely reasonable price. Going with the LeMont allowed us to remove so many things from our to-do list.

After all of the planning and ceremony, the LeMont is the perfect reception location to celebrate with all of your loved ones. Elegant trappings, professional service, delicious food, and a jaw dropping view all form the backdrop for a perfect night.

great view. food is ok. expensive. the big rooms for groups smell like wet carpet. And they use church basement-like (read: paper-thin) dividers to separate rooms for different groups. Needless to say, you can hear just about everything going on in the other room. As our speaker was talking, the party in the other room was practicing hymns (no joke).

UPDATE: this church noise happened again. We had another event this year and again there was a complete church service, with singing numerous songs. I'm not picking on religion here, it's just that the paper-thin walls made in incredibly hard to focus on the speakers at our event. In fact both had to stop and make light of awkwardness.
