Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort Reviews

We had the all inclusive package and it was worth every satang. Staff is super professional, food is excellent and the all inclusive includes unlimited drinks like beer, prosecco, wine and cocktails. Also really good mocktails if you don't want to drink alcohol. Would like to give an extra star for the restaurant manager Aum.
Only thing that is on the negative side is that the beach is not super, it's a lot of corals which makes it quite difficult to swim here.

15 days here, far from the city, calm, great beach, why look elsewhere

I visited Le Meridien Khao Lak for four nights and enjoyed every minute of it, i wish i had stayed longer because you cannot get enough of the place and the area!

The hotel was very interactive from before my check in via the Bonvoy mobile app and Khun Pat on the mobile app was great and going far and beyond what i had hoped for. Khun Oat the duty manager was kind enough to personalize the room which was a nice upgrade from my reservation making the stay and use of the facilities exponentially better than i could have imagined.

The pool access is a must, as the pools are massive and great to swim around, the pool bar has happy hour from 3-5 which is great to watch the sunset with a nice cocktail or beer in hand. K Guy and K Thanin on the pool bar were very friendly and made great cocktails and offered helpful suggestions on what to do in the vicinity. The grill restaurant was also amazing the food was very well done and they even prepared dishes to our request outside of the menu and at very reasonable prices for a 5 star resort.

Breakfast was also very good with a large variety, Khun Aunpun and Khun Oaty were always there to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed, even offered to provide freshly squeezed pineapple and watermelon juice.

The Gym is also well equipped and practices social distancing due to Covid with max 4 people per time.

The facilities are modern and very well kept, the views and facilities are top notch - i added some amazing views you have at the resort. The prices received for the rooms were incredible as well.

Overall the hotel/resort was amazing, i will be returning very soon because i couldn't get enough. The staff were friendly and doing everything to make sure your needs are met. Also for Bonvoy members, the hotel made sure to recognize my Titanium status and giving me all the support as an Elite Bonvoy member.

Staff are excellent and attentive. Food was great and the staff seek feedback on meals. Rooms are spacious, well furnished and in excellent condition.

The room is very big. Beautiful beach view, private, not chaotic, staff of all service levels with heart, giving full points, not broken at all.

Located almost at the end of khao lak area. Offer a rather good promotion. Breakfast is not a lot but variety enough. Pool is large and has several zones, very family friendly. They might have just renovated as the room itself looks pretty new. Nothing fancy in the room and decorations inside yet still comfortable enough. Water sports are free for the first hour. Kid zone looks good. Many free activities (muay thai, tai chi, power walk) in the house. Had a great stay here.

Hotel is good for family with children. Lots of pools and activities. The rooms are clean and spacious. Very good customer service.

This is an excellent resort. The rooms are very nice and a good size. The pol access rooms are lovely for sitting on the balcony. Dining is limited with only 2 restaurants but the food is excellent. Small beach not very sandy. A good place to relax for a few days

Of the nearly 700 Marriott properties that I have stayed at, this hotel has raised the bar on customer service to a height that was never imagined.

There is a balcony to catch the sea breeze.
Comfortable chairs and sofas.
But there is no table to put luggage in the room
And or without tissue in the room, no footwork in the room.
There must be a foot wash before entering the pool and after walking to the beach. More with signs

We are experiencing a totally beautiful and relaxing holiday here. The beach is protected from ebb and flow by a concrete wall. This gives you a first-class and very clean beach, which is taken care of every day, with loungers, parasols and bath towels included.
Every now and then there is live wonderful guitar music at sunset. Pure goosebumps feeling.
In front of the wall you can go into the sea. Bathing shoes are advisable as many old corals can lie there. The water is very clean.
The pool area is great and invites you to swim.
The room is very modern and well equipped. Our bathroom with tub and shower is a stunner.
The food tastes excellent and there is something for everyone.
The staff is very attentive and genuinely friendly.
English language and communication no problem at all.

Very good place to stay in the vicinity of Khao Lak. Very friendly staff that contributes a lot to a very pleasant stay. Happy to return!

Le Meridien Khao Lak is impressed with the service from the doorstep. All employees are willing to serve, smiling, really high service mind. Really called a 5-star hotel.

Went to use the service on 21-23 Oct. 20, I am very impressed here since getting off the car. All the staff are really nice, every department. Found a housewife far away Still calling and greeting all the time The room was new. Nice view by the sea The restaurant has a wide variety of choices. I leave almost every meal here. The enthusiastic staff asked, greeted them while waiting for a long time for food. If you have to return to the Andaman Sea again, you will return to this place as before. Grilled beef spicy salad is very delicious. Recommended.
Very impressed and next month I have plans to go back again.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Stay in the hotel all the time, never going out, nice room, clean, spacious, beautiful pool, good service staff All meals at the hotel restaurant Food waits for a very long time, almost 2 hours waiting, the food is very expensive, not suitable for the ingredients. Order Tom Yum Kung, get 1 2-inch shrimp, price 290, excluding tea, order sour shrimp, get 5-6 index finger prawns, price 460 excluding tea, very expensive.
Spaghetti, small plate, price 400. There are many other items, not expensive. Stay at another 5 star hotel, come to 4 hotels in Khao Lak. Here, the food quality is the worst elsewhere, even though it's expensive but worth the price.

Good !!! As for the Bar grill restaurant, the food is very slow, I waited 2 hours for food to eat. Hungry to faint And most importantly, the rice that is served is very cold. This is the first time I've encountered a restaurant like this. It is served very cold steamed rice. Never seen it before If talking about the taste of food very much Not recommended to eat I have a problem every time. Now it is 21.00. There are many tables that have not yet eaten. Please check. Hotel has package deals 5 days/4 nights all inclusive. The staff are very helpful especially during this difficult COVID-19 period. We will return.

The hotel is fantastic the beach unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired.
Also the drink could be drastically improved.

Overall, a nice resort for the price (we booked the grand opening offer). I should preface this review by saying we are elite Platinum Marriott members and have stayed at many Marriott affliliated hotels arrive the world. As such, we were less than impressed by the service and treatment we got here compared to what having Platinum status has meant at other nations hotels. So, if you have elite status, I wouldn't book this place based on the perks you think you may receive. We were not offered a room upgrade nor was it even mentioned if they just didn't have any available. They offer a breakfast buffet that is already included in the room bookings, so the only benefit is essentially 1000 points. Anyway staying from the beginning, there were a few issues we experienced. At check in we were asked if we wanted a room with two double beds or a king even though we booked a king room directly through Marriott. They had assigned us a room with two double beds originally though and had to wait on them to figure out a new room with a king bed for us. They were nice about it, but not what you want to experience right after a long ride from the airport. The rooms themselves are nice, spacious and clean though. The AC works well which is a plus. However, maid service never came around the next day and we ended up having to call the front desk to have them send someone. The food here is pretty good though for being a buffet and had a nice selection. What turned us off though is the really poor drink service we got at both breakfast and dinner. No one approached our table to give us water or take our drink order. We had to flag someone down every time and had to ask multiple times sometimes. There were a couple of times we just went and grabbed the water pitcher and filled our own glasses. Would've liked to order drinks with dinner, but just didn't seem worth the hassle. The people working here seen very nice, but I think there are some growing pains with the hotel's transition to being a Le Meridien hotel. A huge plus for us though was that there were so many nice beach chairs with umbrellas available throughout the resort as well as on the beachfront. Towel service was good and they even give you free water bottles to stay hydrated which we really appreciated. We would recommend booking the airport transportation through the hotel though as it was very smooth and reasonably priced. If you stay here, we would recommend also checking out the Happy Beach restaurant next to this resort on the beach! The service was always super friendly, for was delicious, and prices were about half of what they charge for meals and drinks here at the resort. In summary though, even with some of the hiccups we experienced we would recommend this hotel for it's good value and chill vibe.

Very good service, there is a staff to drag luggage to take them to check in. Ready to deliver the luggage to the room The room is very spacious, clean and the air conditioner is very cool. The beach can swim and it is very quiet. Value for money Breakfast has a variety of choices, not bored. But staying several nights may be bored because the breakfast menu is the same. Only change the bar, Thai food, 2 dishes, spa, very good service, good massage, comfortable, but some things are not the best. The restaurant is too expensive. When compared to the taste and service Buffet dinner 999, the food is too little, but the staff is good. Always asking if I want anything more. On the way back when checking out, wait a little long, there is no staff to drag the luggage like when checking in. I dragged them when they got out in front of the hotel and took them to the car which is very close to the parking lot. Overall okay, suitable for rest

Beautiful sea, architecture style, buildings are not very beautiful. Maybe it's because it's old, but the room decoration Considered quite well, beautiful, very spacious room.

Everything would be great, but restaurant service ruined all my stay. Every single night wait for order was 60 to 90 minutes and with constant reminders to waiters to follow up the order. It Looks like there is miscommunication between waiters and kitchen because some tables got everything right away although others had to wait way too long.

The rooms, pool, location and spa are great, but the food is mediocre and housekeeping seems to be staffed by the keystone cops. Also there's no coffee in your room, poolside rooms don't offer pool towels in room and you need to repeatedly beg if you want enough bottled water. Would be OK at Courtyard, expect better from Le Meridien

A beautiful location. The pool access room was great, big bathroom with a nice bathtub. The pool was clean and good maintenance. On weekends maybe so crowded and you might wait for some assistance so long like in-room dining service. Breakfast is ok and staffs are well trained.

Superb hotel friendly and welcoming staff I advise but for people who do not speak English, it is a bit problematic

Overall the facilities are well maintained and the pool is in good condition. Meals are also good. It's a little far from Phuket's airport. (If I arrive late at night by air, I'll just fly the day off.)

This is the perfect place for some relaxing time. The pools are nice, as well as the beach, the different bars, the breakfast, the dinner options,... I also loved the yoga and pilates classes they provide. One point to mention is that some of the staff are kind of unexperienced, especially at the reception. But, all of the staff were very friendly and we had a great overall experience.

Le Meridien Khao Lak lives up to this hotel chain's high standards. We don't normally like to stay more than 2/3 nights at one hotel (in case we get bored) BUT we stayed 5 nights at Le Meridien that flew by.

This hotel has lovely soft beds and pleasantly furnished rooms, beautiful facilities and a semi-private location on the beach!

There are so many pools to swim or lounge in (or go swim in the waves). A delicious and generous brekky and dinner buffets with a changing theme each night.

It's peaceful and quiet, situated away from the main road and bustle of the main town of Khao Lak (they have shuttle buses to take you to the night markets should you wish). The hotel was our base to go on tours to Similan Islands, Turtle Sanctuary, Elephant Bathing, and trekking/swimming in Khao Sok Lake and national Park.

Le Meridien Khao Lak has a little something for everyone, and is both couple and family friendly. We will be back.

Bigger room ,bigger restroom ,4big pools ,nice hotel

The hotel is very beautiful and new, complete facilities and a lot of activities. The service staff is very good. A lot of breakfast The room is very clean. Sleep well. The bedroom is spacious. Super comfortable, recommend it .. Love this hotel

I feedbacked these issues to the employees directly during my stay, but did not have any good answers. Thus I left reviews for future reference.

1) Check-in staff told me the room is upgraded. But actually the room exactly I booked. Was she about to provide a down-graded room unless "the upgraded room" is not available for me?

2) misleading advertisement of tours: We did one of paid tours based on tour desk recommendation. However, a hired tour guide did not complete the package since some parts were canceled due to COVID, which would be OK with adequate explanation, but the tour desk did not explain it. I complained to the hotel after the tour but no compensation. I did not go the contents was not provided properly.

3) The room smells mildew. Assumed they have not used/cleaned up rooms long time due to COVID.

4) Most of staffs did not understand English, I even could not reach out English speaking staff several times though I asked it. It is disappointing since I stayed the hotel because they are international brand, would have better communication than local brands.

The room is very spacious. The service and chatting staff are excellent, the food is delicious, there is a plan to repeat it again.
