My favorite hotel in Heliopolis, Cairo. Service is great so is the breakfast. It s an old hotel and it shows its age a bit, but a great experience nonetheless. They have a nice pool to cool off on those scorching summer days.

This Hotel is not clean just like the country. Room and toilet were not upto the standard of Le Meridian. I stayed here 2 nights and then I moved to a better hotel for next 2 nights.

EDITED AFTER CHECK OUT:
Well the manager Mr. Mahmoud showed his concern and upgraded my room and provided discounts on my total bill to compensate the discomfort I had. Thanks Mahmoud.

Great hotel but could do with some renovations. Decor is from the 1970s and reminded me of a resort hotel from that era. However, staff were friendly, helpful and available. Room service was prompt however I'd suggest eating out whenever you can. Pool is clean and very quiet. Live music each night does not exactly draw the crowds (I'll leave you to decide why). Bed was comfy, room was clean. Everything worked as promised. A good location for us but it's not in the centre of town - Uber is so cheap though. Had everything you'd expect from a five star hotel, just needs modernisation. I'd stay there again.

Stayed at the hotel for a couple of days, the rooms are somewhat clean but I'm sure they can do better, it's a bit run down, apart from that everybody was trying their best to help and their breakfast was lovely.

5 Stars Hotel but quiet dated. The staff are friendly, the housekeeping staff are really kind and friendly. They were keen to change the linen on daily basis, attend the service request promptly and with great soft skills.
I give full 5 stars to the staff in the Meridien Club, especially the adorable Manal, Essam, Hani, Ramadan, Tariq and Mahmoud. Thank you all for the great hospitality and keep up your great work.

One of the older hotels in Heliopolis. Still a favourite with many especially those who used to frequent it in its heydays. Still well maintained. The brass work through the hotel is worth noting, I believe it's the work of the renowned late Oscar Sabongi

It is the second time for me to be in le meridian..and I noticed the difference
The first time the breakfast was luxurious and the food was of high quality..the staff was so friendly
This year I noticed that the hotel is using a very low quality and less variety of food for 2 days
I entered the restaurant with my bag ...one of the staff came to me and said you must not take anything from the buffet inside your bag..as if I am a thief..and told me that there are cameras everywhere..I was shocked and could not reply...
The other thing was the hospitality no one smile or say good morning when seeing you..
The hotel is too old...the sound system last year was working inside the elevator with a very good French songs..this year the hotel is dull and boring...
Parking is paid also which is against the hotel
The lightening inside the room is little so that you cannot read or write well
But the best thing is the WiFi inside the room
I think it is not a 5 or even a 4 stars hotel..must be revised

Spent one night in there and enjoyed it to bits, nice location near the airport, they run shuttle bus (free) to the airport as well. Friendly staff as well. Not too expensive, slightly over the average but worth it

Really disapponted about the restaurant and the staff.
Absolutly incompetant and they dont give no help to fix their problemes
At the restaurant st germain, they made 4 mistake on 4 disches and the wainting time was extremly long. An hour for soup in an empty restaurant.
First a sandwich without bread, a ceasar salade without anything except letuce, another sandwich without any mishroom or pepper has written on the menu and finally a onion soup cold and musky.
They wanted to be paid cash absolutly and didnt have change for us. We had to cancel our order.
The staff at the reception were rude and dint help in our grievance.
For an hotel of this proce we were really disapointed.
The rooms were dirty and damage.
The pool deck is discusting has well.
Not worth the price they are asking for.
After spending 16 days in egypt in different locations, this was the worst experience.
