Lovely staff, friendly environment. The veggie sandwich was absolutely tasty and they also have a really good coffee. Noah Juice is another good option to give it a try, they are refreshing and healthy juices.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience celebrating a birthday. We had the place to ourselves on a Saturday night. The food was delicious and the staff friendly, helpful and highly professional. I would recommend Le Cafe Gourmand very highly for a truly delightful French experience.

The Cafe caters to those with coeliac disease offering gluten free bread as a replacement for some of their breakfast items and the buckwheat crepe which is also gluten free and amazing. There was not much conversation on the table today as we were all to busy eating! Breakfast was that great we even ordered a dessert to finish off, the pistachio creme brulee was the perfect finish it wasn't too sweet and a subtle flavour of pistachio.

A great impromptu brunch today. Mariana looked after us so well, and with humour. Will be back. :) / Went again today 08/08/20. The Eggs Benedict & salmon omelette were beyond good. The lovely wait staff are great and work hard. This place would have to be the best for Covid19 countermeasures I have ever seen. Staff are continuously wiping down tables & chairs & menus when customers leave. Also, no need to hold a pen which has been handled by hundreds of people. Just sign in on your own mobile phone on a link given on the menus. Dogs are welcome too. Easily the best cafe I have been to on the Gold Coast. :)

We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary with the family at the restaurant having breakfast together. If you like French cuisine you have to eat French. Breakfast in France is a croissant with coffee. Since I had my first croissant in 1972 in Paris, I am forever searching for the real thing- I have found it at Le Cafe Gourmand. For me it is a slice of France in Australia.

The croissants are excellent and the coffee was nice too. Definitely more French ie missing some of your typical Aussie options (which is fine). Just drops a star because it was understaffed on a Sunday morning and at one point they ran out of croissants!

27/02/2016 - Best croissant on the Gold Coast!!! Delicious food prepared by the passionate Chef, Remi. When in season, try the scramble egg with truffle. At the moment, the "French Pie" is the one to try. Dinner available twice a month always been amazing. Bonne Appetit :-D

The food was delicious as usual. I ordered the 16oz ribeye along side garlic potatoes and a toss salad. Once my ribeye was corrected it was cooked to perfection. The conch fritters were pretty good as well but request a side of the sweet chili sauce instead of the horseradish sauce. The food is delicious and the service is really top notch.

Nice for breakfast and an excellent meal. You can't go wrong with the menu, they offer a good variety. You have the option to order for yourself or to order a meal to share. Very flexible. Their food is amazing and cooked very well, definitely French. But wonderful. Capped off with a good coffee.

Excellent food, and excellent service! Our server had a delightful personality with a smile that never faltered. I got an omelette with tomato, spinach, and ham (I was honestly expecting regular sandwich ham, which is probably an insult to the cafe), but instead I was presented an incredibly flavourful meat that complemented the contents of the omelette. I ordered it with a fresh baguette, which was all kinds of wonderful - crispy, chewy, and soft.

My partner went straight for the desserts for breakfast, and greatly enjoyed the creme brulee; I especially loved the additional berry sorbet (a very nice touch).
This cafe stands out from many I've been to, and I can't wait to go back!

Four of us dined here for Sunday brunch w our fur friend Archie. It was good for Archie to sit on the grass with us outside whilst he ate his salmon doggy ice cream. My dish was quite nice which was quite cheesy and not overly filling. Service was efficient and friendly.

Chose this cafe from Google and it was even better than expected. Lovely indoor and outdoor areas with a section with air-conditioning. Menu was delightful with a number of unusual but interesting selections. My cheese raclette was very tasty and came with a delicious salad. Service was excellent and staff very pleasant to talk to. Highly recommended.

I have been here 3 times and on two occasions had a good experience. If you are pregnant stay well away from this place as everything on the menu except the baguette has egg which they will only cook with a runny yolk. I came here when pregnant thinking that they would cook the egg scrambled which is what every obstetrician or doctor would recommend for pregnant women. They refused and I was the only one out of our party who was not able to have breakfast. It was quite upsetting and embarrassing and after seeing how disappointed and outraged the rest of our group was with the service and I asked to cancel the order they reluctantly agreed to scramble the eggs. When I went to pay the bill they had stung me additional charges for additional eggs and cooking because they had to scramble them. This would normally not have been a problem is I have no issue with a restaurant charging a little extra if you try and change items on their menu it was the way they weird about it they're incredibly rude and it took them 30 minutes to decide but they would ultimately help me by then everyone else in our group it eaten and they were never upfront about the charges. I have also been here for lunch and had a great time as well as one of their special to dinner nights.

The staff are always welcoming and polite. My favourite are the tarts. The best I've ever found. The pastry isn't too thick, or buttery. It is perfect with the filling and I can't wait to come back. Thank you!

FUNKY MANAGER, BRILLIANT SERVICE AND FRENCH CHEF!

FUNKY MANAGER, BRILLIANT SERVICE AND FRENCH CHEF!
We loved our time here.

SERVICE:
Exceptional. They call themselves a local cafe and watching how they greet their regular customers, it's obviously true.
We were given fabulous service the minute we walked in. We got told the specials and our coffee orders were taken straight away.
Thank you Yanna for everything!
All staff were courteous, friendly and professional.

FOOD:
With an owner chef, you can't go wrong.
Predominantly French, the food was cooked to perfection!
I had the truffle scrambled eggs, while hubby had the Oeuf Cocotte.
As they were breakfast delicacies, the portions were small. But unbelievable. The scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy and hubby's meal was hot and cooked to perfection. Each meal was served with bread.
Other meals we saw were large and extra large portions and next time I will try the omelette or bruschetta. They looked fresh and delicious.
We took a mango macaroon home to have for afternoon tea!

ACCESSIBILITY:
Yes. They have a ramp for wheelchairs, prams and strollers. There is enough room inside and out for couples, families and children.

DOG FRIENDLY:
YES AND YAY!!!!! They even offer doggy ice cream.

COST:
About same as other cafes in the neighbourhood. Some items cheaper than others.

GREAT COFFEE?
Yes!

Biked here with family of teens Wednesday morning around 9:30. Sat on deck, table service attentive. Menu interesting and 4 of us ordered the apple and pineapple buckwheat crepes for $17 and they were presented beautifully and tasty! The tomato and avocado bruschetta was extremely delicious too! Would recommend anyone on holiday seeking out this place which is slightly off the beaten track and not touristy.

We heard about Le Cafe and finally had a chance to visit for Sunday brunch.
Firstly we enjoyed the staff who are mostly french and very passionate about sharing the cafe & their yummy fresh french food with us. Everything is very french so do not expect your standard egg benedict or pancakes, instead take the time to enjoy the delicious french food on offer. We started with a yummy danish and fresh croissant with jam and wonderful coffee. For brunch we all tried something different, my friend had Buckwheat crepe (GF), Filled with mushroom, spinach, prosciutto topped with goat cheese mousse, my husband had Oeuf cocotte, Soft baked egg, cauliflower velvet, button mushroom, baby spinach, French ham, toasted sourdough baguette and i had the Tomato and avocado bruschetta, Cherry tomato, fresh basil, avocado, balsamic reduction, Persian feta, poached egg served on toasted sourdough, we all really enjoyed our meals and before we realized it 2 hours had past, just the way a morning should be spent.
If you do not feel like a big brunch they also have a selection of yummy fresh baked treats. We look forward to heading back and trying one of the french dinner evenings!

Friendly staff, great service and fantastic food! We loved having coffee on the deck in reclined sun chairs - the perfect way to warm up on a winter's day. Overall a very bright and fun atmosphere.

Will definitely be coming back many times more!

Arrived for a quiet Saturday morning breakfast and picked this one as it was handy to my location and the menu looked inviting. It s a relatively large French style cafe with outdoor dining area along with indoors. Table service with kind and attentive staff. Plenty to choose from on the menu but I only wanted a coffee and bread so I ordered the toasted baguette with jam. Coffee was great and the baguette exceeded expectations. I will most definitely return if I m down this way again to sample something else on the menu.
