A great Calvados based cocktail as a starter, then a nice starter with asparagus, followed by a very healthy lobster in a delicate sauce with some pasta and veggies. Wow... a unforgettable dinner, with a creative Sauvignon wine from Oregon. A place to visit ! We enjoyed a relaxing lunch on the patio. Theodora, Server was friendly. She Recommended the lump crab avocado salad and it was delicious. Eclectic, fun, and great place to have lunch with friends or family. Varied menu and the food was excellent.

I love Le Bilboquet. Both the food and service are excellent. Best french fries in town, and I LOVE the goat cheese salad at lunch. Also, I really like that parking is complimentary for 3 hours so I can eat and then walk around The Shops Buckhead Atlanta.

Don't eat here. My friend and I went to have dinner here after I flew in from Istanbul. Our rude and obnoxious waiter, Daniel, made us lose our appetites; we left after the appetizers. I've eaten in restaurants in 23 countries, including France and this has been the worst service.

My cousin, who is visiting from California, really wanted to eat here again before dropping her off at the airport. We were turned away by the hostess for not adhering to their dress code. We are wearing sweaters and casual pants (not sloppy, not inappropriate). I m shocked by this as it s 2021. We are more than happy to take our business elsewhere and will be encouraging our large and very successful social circle to do the same. As a doctor, could you imagine if I didn t accept patients based on their clothing? How classist and outdated.

This restaurant is doubtless one of the finest place in the neighborhood. Every time I come to this place I am exceedingly glad. They maintain their very high level service and the highest level of cooking they offer. You no doubt will love this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Was in town for a couple of days wanted to try this restaurant over other French places I go. Will never come back, service was awful! They miscommunications started with the water, continued all the way to the check. When we provided feedback the management was rude and didn t even acknowledge the issues, they were dismissive. The food was bland for French, over buttered over salted and not memorable. Nothing stood out about the meal except the terrible customer service. I won t be back and it s not authentic French food nor fresh tasting.

The water which I explicitly asked if it was house, your wait staff couldn t answer in English! Then they opened the bottle and charged us $7 for it which we didn t even drink. We asked to split the soup, they did not Inform us that there was an upcharge. They tried to argue with us later said it was $2 upcharge, the bowl of soup was 10 you charged us 7 a piece for a cup which is 14 not 12.

We tried to inform the management so they could correct the issue with your future customers, it wasn t about the cost! The terrible manager decided to argue with us over the bill instead of listening. They first argue that there was no house sparkling water I Atlanta, that s simply not true my coffee shop has it on the House and so do many other restaurants. The entire conversation was to inform you of the communication errors. It was about inadequate service! Terrible do not eat here!

Met a friend for lunch at Le Bilboquet located in the Buckhead Shops area. This was my first time eating here. I love French cuisine when it s done right, and Le Bilboquet does it exceptionally well. The staff, including the hostess, busboy, & waitress, were very pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable. The lunch menu offers a large number of choices to accommodate most preferences. I had the Croquet Mademoiselle which was excellent. I asked the waitress to select a glass of white wine for me and she brought a lovely, crisp Sancerre. This was not a cheap lunch, but this is a perfect place for a business lunch, a special occasion, or for those who enjoy high end dining.

Had the duck confit, which was extremely well cooked, however it wasn't the star of the plate, the mushrooms were. Now, I'm not typically a fan of mushrooms, but I wish there had been more on the plate. Very knowledgable wait staff as well.

My go to for French food in Atlanta. Favorites include the octopus (hasn't been on the menu recently since COVID, sadly), escargot (wasn't available for brunch), steak frites, trout, and for dessert, the meringue is excellent. Reservations probably recommended, as they're usually rather busy.

Amazing experience !! A fine dining place with unique menu . Loved all the dishes I tried . For vegetarians, mushroom risotto is the best. Everything was so fresh. This place has a beautiful ambience and I loved the flower fragrance kept in the center of the table. Best place for celebrations. I would definitely recommend this place for a fine dining experience. Expensive but worth the experience.

Loved the vibe in this place... we sat outside. Felt pretty special with glass of champagne in hand in such a pretty place. Food was excellent! Except the bread- it was a bit stale. The risotto, mushroom fricassee with shaved Parmesan was amazing! Very filling though but delicious. The seared branzino was very good as well and I had never seen nor tried the "hon shimedji mushrooms" which are tiny mini mushrooms- delicious! and the English pea puree was an excellent touch! Nothing can compare to how good that dessert was...I look forward to going back, but this time for brunch! This place won't disappoint. You will feel pretty special. This restaurant is in the heart of a new shopping area in Buckhead. It is pretty popular, all trees are decorated with white lights and restaurants above keep a very live vibe! $10 valet.

Food was okay and the waiter was professional. But the hostess was rude. I went there for lunch on a Thursday. The restaurant wasn't very crowded so I was little shocked when the hostess put me and my friend next to another occupied table. When I asked her if we can sit somewhere, she was visibly annoyed. I spent over hundred dollars for lunch. I expect a better service for that price. Won't be going again.

I have tried to come here via walk-in a couple of times before and both times I was turned away due to the popularity of the place. You really need reservations to get in, it seems.
A bit of an inconvenience for someone who likes to go on impromptu indulgences but understandable once I managed to get in.

For once, on a wet Tuesday night, I took a friend and walked right in. I'll note here that we were not turned away due to our attire, or lack thereof. I was probably closer dressed for the occasion (simple shirt and slacks) but my friend merely wore a faded t-shirt and sweats.

I'm very impressed that the hostess did not turn us away in spite of what other patrons were wearing; for that they have earned themselves a return visit.

Exterior is modern just subtly hinting on contemporary. They do try to go for that classic bistro feel with the white table cloths, adorned with a flower and little wooden seats with a patio design.

Interior is quaint and impressively rustic. Wooden veneer cabinets and cloth drapes on the expansive windows. It was simple and spoke like a true bistro. Nothing too fanciful or outlandish . . . though the music was a tad bit questionable.

Food! I quite enjoyed my slight charred octopus with garbanzo beans. It wasn't quite what I expected at a French restaurant/bistro but very interesting indeed. Though it was a tad bit more chewy than is normal for my liking. Flavor-wise? Interesting and acceptable.

My friend ordered the foie gras. He knows a great deal more about French cuisine than I (I'm more partial to Italian), so naturally I had to bring him here. How to describe the foie gras? It was a creamy meadow of fatty, nutty richness melting in your mouth with just a hint of fruits. Though, I suspect that was from the fruit preserve that came with it. Might have been cranberry; my memory fails me.

For the main course, he had the veal scallopini while I the branzino.
Veal was good, naturally, with the reduced sauce (not sure if it was marsala). A classic Italian dish yet served at a French bistro? Interesting.

Branzino had a nice thin crispy skin which subtly caressed the flaky white underneath. It was served on a circular bed of wild rice (pilaf?). Nothing else needs to be said. Was excellent.

Restroom was typical of these kinds of places. Nothing new here. But the cologned? hand-soap was a nice touch. Didn't expect that. Very nice.

Service was a tad bit . . . expected. It seemed that the server turned his nose up at my friend due to his lack of attire. They seemed throw the dishes unceremoniously onto our table before scurrying away to get as far away from my friend as fast as possible.

I'll overlook this as we got a table but if anyone at the restaurant chooses to read this just know that sometimes the people who return again and again aren't the best dressed or loudest in the room. The people who return just want to just have a good meal and not have to dress up to impress. We like to dine without reservations (if it can be helped) or expectations. We like to talk softly and eat our luxury in peace.

And who knows, maybe we might even leave a review if the food and experience warrants it.

Just some food for thought.

I will be back, most likely with reservations so as to not have to worry about seating next time.

Will I be dressed sharply?
No promises.

But I promise the restaurant this . . . that hostess does deserve a tip the next time I come. And hey, she even speaks fluent French.

The food was very good. Service was attentive and the waiter recommended nice wine pairings. The only drawback was that it gets rather bright in the late afternoon when one is seated at the window. A pull down shade for this period would be a nice fix.

I don t understand the other reviews. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the ATL. The food is amazing. The Duck and Cajun Chicken are succulent. The servers are experts with the wine list. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is energetic. I highly recommend it. My only suggestion for them is i wish they did a little something special for birthdays / anniversaries. We went for a birthday celebration, but they didn't do anything different for it. Other than that, it's the perfect restaurant.

An extremely disappointing evening. We had dined here several times in the past and were excited to introduce our friends from Nice, France to this restaurant. Unfortunately the service was below par, the food average and we were overall embarrassed to have brought our friends here. If you are looking for an authentic French restaurant....look elsewhere. We will not dine here again.

As soon as you walk in to this beautiful establishment you are transported to Paris. You forget about the rest of the world and what was on your mind before you walked in. Ilona, Mark and Jennifer couldn't be nicer if they tried. The drinks are out of this world and the food ...well It's probably the best I've had in a very long time.

I will never go back to this restaurant as our experience with our bartender last night was so awful. He was complaining so much about a coworker dropping a bottle of wine on him that he literally could not even focus on getting me water. He was rude and could not even be bothered to get our order. Bar was full when I got there but people quickly cleared out due to this bartenders behavior.

Very unhappy with my first visit to Le Bilboquet. We were seated outside at a table that had total sun beating down on it in 93 degree weather. We attempted to move the umbrella nearby to give us shade but struggled to actually move it. Several waiters stood by just staring at us and no one offered to help. Our own server came by to give us water, and then he was not back for another 50 minutes to take drink orders. As we sat waiting for our food, it was apparent that an afternoon thunderstorm was rolling through. We had to flag down our waiter and ask for a check so we could try and get inside before rain began. The downpour started after our first couple bites of food, and our waiter came out with checks and then asked if we wanted to-go boxes. Our food was already drenched. Very unhappy with the service at this location, and I wouldn't go back. The drinks and food I did have was good at least, but I didn't get to finish any of it.

First of all it was horrendous to find and park, then we had to wait for anyone to acknowledge us after being seated for 10 minutes. The waiter was obviously slammed therefore there was no special treatment, no conversation. The scallops from the menu were super gritty, I ate one and could not finish the rest and was never asked why, probably because someone other than my waiter took my plate away. An extra chair was needed for another table and was taken from mine without asking by staff, as well as my fries that I was still eating. The beet salad was the best thing I had. I wanted a apple martini but they did not have the apple sour to make me one. I had a bite of my date s short rib and and to spit it in my napkin because it was so fatty. We had to flag our waiter down twice. If you can t handle a busy Thursday night, you have problems.

This place is amazing! Everything from the atmosphere to the drinks and most of all the food and dessert! The signature chicken dish is to die for! I crave it all the time. Is a must have. Theres a lot of hype about this one, located in the middle of the redone Streets of Buckhead. This enclave of super high-end shops attempts to give Atlanta a Rodeo Drive of its own. Okie dokie.
We went a bit early for a bite on our way to an Atl United game, and were met with a very odd DJ at the front door mixing everything from Motown to 90's music so loud, I literally couldnt talk to my wife about anything. Thats normal before 5PM I was told. It carried until close to 5:30.
The menu is fairly ordinary, with common dishes. The ambiance is high brow, and theres a very active crowd to match.
We ordered a fish dish that was very well done, but super high priced. Gotta pay that rent!
If you enjoy Gucci attire, and ambiance to match, this is your place! Glitz and glam while you eat (pricey) good food.

To begin, this is only a review of the New Year's dinner. I was really excited that we booked this restaurant. What we didn't realize, and were not told, was that it was a Prix Fix menu. There was also a set time to be in and out which we were told but felt rushed.

Being a Prix Fix menu, it had none of the options that I would have chosen. I had my taste buds and expectations set to escargot and veal scallopini. I ended up with the lobster bisque which was OK at best (I have had much better) and the Cajun chicken which was nothing special. Chocolate mousse for dessert which was OK as well.

The meal was average at best, felt rushed and I walked out $235 lighter between me and my lady. I LOVE a great French restaurant but this bad experience will keep me from going back to this one. There are much better options in Buckhead and around Atlanta.

Our experience was disappointing. There was a group of 4 seated next to us outside that was smoking, Was asked to stop twice, and continued to do so, eventually directing the smoke towards my wife. The couple next to us moved twice to get away from it. Our complaints were not addressed. On top of the smoking, one of the females in the group was giving the other a lap dance, and then dropped wine glasses while doing so. I'm not a huge stick in the mud by any means, but when I'm spending upwards of $200 for a meal I expect the restaurant to treat their guests with respect and ensure that each person there has a positive experience. I emailed the restaurant directly with my concerns and they have not been addressed. For that reason, I write this review and will not be returning.

On our last visit we had the Foie Gras, muscles, and scallops along with drinks. The foie gras was the worst part of the meal--it tasted prefab and possibly canned. I specifically told the waiter I was driving and didn't want any alcohol. He asked if I wanted something else and mentioned something sweet, I couldn't quite understand what he asked but I smiled and nodded to be polite. 5 min later two glasses of wine showed up @ $20/glass. The scallops were great, albeit small. Wonderful flavor and simple but elegant presentation. The muscles, served in a white wine sauce, were mediocre at best. The sauce was overly watery and the muscles somewhat tasteless.
My bill came to $140 for what amounted to a quick snack, where I felt upsold into alcohol I didn't want to complement a dish that was pretty bad. And parking was $7, even after they forgot to get my car for a while and had us standing long enough for me to retrieve the car on my own.

Update: I have attempted to get in touch with the owner multiple times since this review to address the matter. They have yet to return my calls.

Would not seat us outside on a Saturday afternoon because my wife was wearing a hat. So pretentious and ridiculous, as she looked better than every other woman in the place! Fortunately Gypsy Kitchen was happy to accommodate us. As we walked back to the car, we noticed a gentleman with a backwards hat happily eating with his party...guessing he wasn't held to the dress code. Such BS. Won't be back to this pretentious dump.

Let me be clear, if I was rating as a food critique, and compared this to similar price range restaurants in France, Le Bilboquet would get about 3.5-4 star from me. But in Atlanta, this is one of the finest restaurant with great ambiance, and very fine food. Not cheap but IMHO worth it.

When my friends and I first passed by this place we didn't think we could possibly afford such a nice and fancy restaurant. Turns out the price value is definitely worth it, and the menu is carefully curated, and the service is absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere, and I highly recommend the risotto. Been here once for lunch and once for dinner, and I would definitely go again!

My friends and I made a reservation last evening. ...

My friends and I made a reservation last evening. We had never been to this restaurant before. The reservation was made for 3 people under a Susan Saint. When we got there, we were informed that because we were wearing "sweat pants," they were unable to seat us. Now here's the kicker: we are Healthcare providers that were in our SCRUBS. We had just gotten off from a long days work and wanted to meet for a nice dinner. In a time like this, healthcare providers are saving the world. IN fact, more people that we can even remember. We have NEVER once asked for praise or thanks. But being able to sit for a nice dinner would be nice. They refused to seat us even after we told them that we were in scrubs. As for me and my family, we will never be dinning at this establishment and I hope others think twice as well. In a global pandemic, we can't even get our heads out of the clouds. What makes this even worse is that this establishment is in Buckhead. Has anyone watched the news lately? It's no longer an upscale part of town as some would like to think. I would have hoped that seating a couple of healthcare workers in SCRUBS, not sweatpants, off from a long days work saving lives would be enough. So sorry for them. I hope this review reaches far and wide.
