I can't say enough wonderful things about this winery. We were warmly greeted by the two dogs who live on the property, and they supervised us the whole time. Our hostess led us through a tasting of delicious wines during a walk through the property, and we met Michael himself and learned of the love story that inspired the winery's name. The wine was amazing, the company amazing, and the winery itself beautiful.
Very hospitable, great wines! Jim was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and fun to learn from.
I can't really put a finger on it but there is something that resulted in my love for this place.
It might be because it is small and feels like you visiting old friend. Or two super friendly Labradors. Or the fact that you can bring you own food and enjoy winner tasting. Or the great, warm and accommodating attitude of the owners.
It is always a good idea to make a reservation ahead of time.
This was our first stop of the day and we kept talking about it as the day went on. You can tell the wines are made with love. They have the most incredible scent and are delicious. Eight tastings in a beautiful setting. You won't regret visiting.

Laura and Michael we're wonderful. Our visit was on a Monday during Crush. Michael spent some time with us; he showed us their operation and he discussed with us the benefits of the Bordeaux glass for our favorite Pinot Noir... Wow, what a difference the glassware made. I'm a newbie to the finer points of wine and this was a wonderful experience. Their wines we're delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
The tasting service of a very kind owner is comfortable. The rare port wine is very delicious! The black Labrador rocky welcomes you and escorts you to the tasting room.
The Oat Hill (on property) Zins are my favorite. Amazing wine!

Awful experience! Laura is really an unpleasant host; she should be hidden behind the winery doing chores or something. I would NEVER go back here, and I've told my friends to avoid this place.

Very pleasant and generous wine tasting experience run by the owners Laura and Michael. Some of the vines are straight in their back yard. We came here as part of a wine and dine package from The Wine Way Inn. Bought a bottle of rather excellent red Zinfandel around 40 bucks, not cheap, and drank it the same evening for dinner at Lovina s also in Calistoga for which it was a perfect match.
Visiting Napa Valley from the UK and stumbled across this great place. Met Mike and spent a great hour talking to him and tasting great wine. Mike said he was a farmer first and his passion for the producing great wine shone through.

Top of the line hospitality with dedication to friendly professionalism and service. Had several wines we truly enjoyed. Everytime we are close by this area we love to stop. Laura and Michael are wonderful hosts.

Just visited Laura Michael Winery and could not have enjoyed it more.....Laura and Michael were welcoming, informative and just a great end to our weekend...Wines were surprisingly good and varied, especially enjoyed both Zins their Rutherford and Bentley Cabs as well.... So nice to sit back and enjoy the wine with our friends without the "glitz" and frivolity of some of the corporate wineries...
