All I can say after reading reviews and trying to get help is smh

I love them because they really help me and my family

The best help God can give to man..for man...through wonderful agencies like these that care for families in hardships. The Staff..Ms. Rubio and her Manager with the Team of GCCSA ..They really care! They will provide classes , which provides very Valid and Important plans / structure to help you better your understand, finance, work and family life, which is key when setting Goals. They didnt forget about me either through my family struggle in 2017. We are so Fortunate, as a community to have them help out in Society & for Texas. Very Compassionate and Inspirational agency. Good Job!

This organization of discrimination in order to help they ask you to be a citizen they made me do an application for assistance for 6 months and even though I sent them everything they asked for they never helped me only made fun of my need. they are very rude, the workers use racial profiling to help. If you are Hispanic they do not help you and that is not fair because they receive federal and state funds to help those with limited resources as it is possible that they mistreat applicants poor service. One even calls in order to make a complaint and they don't pay attention to you. It appears that the administration of the organization doesn't care about the communities opinion and the needs. It's sad these employees of the organization are playing with something very serious. Instead of helping the ones who are being evicted. There are so many bad reviews of this organization that it is saddening. I am going to share one that caused me so much sadness a review from a apartment manager.

This organization is the worst one i have had to work with ever. I am a property manager and they promise to pay the rent for the residents, but they never do. Dont be fooled by their promises. All the residents that have fallen on hard times end up depending on GCCSA and then they get evicted because GCCSA lies to the managers and to the clients. The workers dont seem to have any organizational skills, and are not friendly. They will present you with their business cards, but everytime you call their numbers (extensions) they never answer, dont even bother calling the main number, because it will take you nowhere. The answer the receptionst gave me when i asked her how come they never answer their phone, she stated that they are very busy, and they were actually just sitting around doing nothing. WARNING to all managers and landlords, do not work with these people because they are just lies

My hope is that there will be more communication, transparency, follow-through, and time reduction for the entire process (if your apt actually receives a check) from this organization if there is a collective visibility of problems that need to be immediately addressed. They are good when once they finally communicate with you after several attempts to get them to follow up with you.

Hello if you are reading this, please and I mean please be patient with this company!!! It is so worth the wait. I had people who tried to discourage me about this company, but I m happy I have my own mind! These people not only assist with rent(for 2months), they helped out with lights, they gave my child a free laptop, and even sent me a $100 Walmart gift card!!! Blessing, blessings, blessings! Don t get me wrong it takes a while for assistance, I m going to say 2months but it s worth the wait. I mean sometimes we wait longer for other agencies to receive what $200.00 towards the rent.this is the best agency I have worked with and I pray they bless your life the same way they have blessed mines! Keep ya head up I know it get hard but remember God is in control

Truly worthless waste of time jumped through a bunch of hoops did everything I was suppose to and never gained assistance I lost my apartment after hearing this big speech to a crowd of people Gulf coast said they provide trade classes but when you do everything required still has an excuse now they don't have funding for anything except utilities good luck with bus passes good luck getting rental assistance and they damn sure not paying for school I waited almost 45 days they never informed me they didn't have funds they ignore almost all my calls and when I finally got through I had a case worker to simply tell me there's nothing they can do SMH it's all a front !!! If your going help someone or are saying your helping people at some point you should help not make excuses

You can never get anyone on the phone, they claim to never have funds

i call for rent assistance information and the custumer service it just broke my heart that she was so rude because for times like this if you dont know have to haddle a just a call you should b working at that area

Very horrible service treat you like a nobody very rude and disrespectful ppl don't realize that one day u can be in the same person shoes that are going through a crisis not realizeng that without people coming for assistance or etc you wouldn't have a job most ppl don't think before they do and something needs to be addressed for there behavior and action of how rude and disrespectful and treating others

What to get family for my family. Only one bag for 2 people. They support to be at least enough food for 3 to 5 days .not enough to feed one person. I get was one box of cereal 2 can bog cans of spaghetti sauce and package of fruit cups 2 half gallons of milk and a bag of bread. Very disappointed lady in front of me get at 4 bags of food and some meat will never go back there again.

I put in an application for assistance about 2 months ago. When I call Ms Lillian Chavez is very rude. She just says she has not gotten to my name then hangs up in my face. I feel like she is being unfair to me just because I call and want a status update. She's not even letting me ask any other questions. If anyone knows who I can talk to other than her about an ISD application I would greatly appreciate that. I really do need assistance.

Idk what's going on with this place. I keep getting the run around about when to apply for assistance first I was told Sept 16th now I'm being told Oct 3 and you can only apply online. This place has gone downhill

Used their services a few years ago. Horrible. Kesha Bobo was my caseworker. Even though they paid 3 months of my rent it took forever and I had accumulated so many late fees because of back to back lies and phone calls that were never returned. The process started in April, classes were complete by the beginning of May. My apt complex didn t get the checks until August. It was an unfortunate situation. She lied and made mistakes and claim she sent the check to the wrong address and that she would overnight it to my apts. My apartment manager had to drive to Houston to get the checks. I was very thankful for the help but frustrated and relieved the process was over. I came to this site looking for utility assistance and after recalling that situation I ll rather be in the dark. Will never come here again. It s tough enough almost losing your home, these ppl do not make it easier at all. Oh.. and they are very unprofessional. Talk to the ppl in the classes like they are beneath them. In the briefing before the nutrition class the pep talk was as if we were underage students as if we knew no better. Tough times happens to everyone at some point, they shouldn t be so judgmental. A lay off is unexpected it could even happen to them too.
