I had my second set of lobes re-pierced, as well as a double helix, from Colin O. He and the rest of the Laughing Buddha staff are absolutely amazing. Super clean shop and everyone was so friendly. Amazing customer service! Everyone from the front desk, who welcomed me and helped me right away, to the person who checked me in and helped me pick out a piece of jewelry, to my piercer, Colin, of whom I can t say enough!! He was friendly and professional, and great at what he does! I felt totally at ease as he explained every step of the procedure, no matter how seemingly insignificant, & always checked in to make sure I was okay. I am so pleased with my new septum piercing. Amazing service! I had never gotten a piercing before and it was so easy and clean; they were very helpful. I had to come back 3 days later because my stud broke, and they gave a temporary replacement while sending the broken stud out for repairs so kind!
Was really looking forward to sharing ideas and putting together my tattoo here, and saw this place got good reviews. Looked legitimate when you walk in, but was greatly disappointed by the lack of time put in to the whole appointment/consultation. Emailed over ideas to the artist, and never heard back. Pretty high up on the scale for pricing in my opinion. Presentation, professionalism, and friendliness could use improvent.
Very good and knowledgeable staff for piercings. The location is nice and feels welcoming, not like you're walking into some exclusive club. The people are down to earth and helpful and the prices are very reasonable.
The artists and work were fantastic, the staff was friendly. My only complaint was that the $100 minimum for our tattoos, which were 4, single line letters and 3 dots, less than an inch, was high, some flexibility on the minimum would have been appreciated. Otherwise, my friends and I were very impressed and happy with our experience.
My experience with this shop was amazing. I was reminded of a doctor's office when I came into this place. Bright, fresh- just a really cool studio space. I'm visiting from out of town, and they managed to fit me in the day after I called them, no problems at all. The receptionists were so nice, and the deposit, forms, etc, were very simple. Shain was my artist, and I'm so happy he was available to do my work! I've had a lot of tattoos, and I usually get freaked out before every single one of them, but everything went so smoothly. I got a lot of black work done in a difficult spot, and I don't think I would have been able to sit through it normally- but he was so, so patient with me. His positive and professional attitude helped a ton! At one point when I was taking a break on the table, another artist (I think David?) popped around the corner and asked me how it was going and if I needed water or anything. Small things like that really tell you that these people care about their clients and their work. If you're visiting or if you live here, whatever, everyone should check this place out! Thank you guys for such a positive experience and a stellar new piece of art :)!
Lil John was amazing as usual, was in and out with a fantastic piercing in under half an hour, which is healing up fantastically two weeks in, had some great conversation as well! Laughing Buddha will always be my go-to piercing parlor.

I had gotten a naval piercing and let me tell you the piercer did an amazing job, he made sure everything was lined up to where I wanted it he recommend some great saline wound wash and let me tell you, it definitely works very well. I live 2 hours away and would definitely drive back for more! I had taken myself to another piercing shop near my home in Ferndale to see if they could change the jewelry and they were shocked that it healed in less than month they said it usually takes 6 months.!
I had posted an initial review of 2 stars due to an unhappy piercing experience. I feel inclined to post a revised review as this shop did absolutely everything possible to correct the situation and make me a happy customer. Not only did they manage to get me back in right away, they had a different piercer re-pierce me and he was exceptional. He listened to me concerns and raised his voice audibly when I let him know I was extremely hard of hearing (something the previous piercer did not do). This is my 3rd piercing from this shop (over 20 years) and I am happy to say that I would recommend Laughing Buddha to anyone who is looking for a piercing. The front desk staff are exceptional and should be noted here as well.

Went to see Thomas for a consultation and he not only helped me create the design I imagined, but also got me in for the actual tattoo the same day. During the tattoo he did a great job of making me feel comfortable and at ease. The front desk staff was also really friendly, and the parlor itself is nice and clean.

I got my nose pierced and was kind of nervous, but my piercer Colin O was very friendly and had me laughing. It was done quickly and I love it.

If you want high quality piercings done by artists who know what they're doing, come here! I scheduled an appointment with Lil John and it went very well. I appreciated his knowledge and recommendations based off my anatomy, as well as his demeanor. This is a very nice and sterile facility all the way around and look forward to coming back for another. The jewelry is a bit on the expensive side but gorgeous and definatly worth every penny!

Colin O. pierced my septum about a week ago, and he did an absolutely wonderful job.
I am pretty afraid of needles (though I have quite a few piercings haha), and tend to almost pass out and get extremely nauseous when I get piercings, tattoos, or my blood drawn. But holy cow-- I felt completely fine the WHOLE time with this piercing. I didn't feel like I was going to fall over after standing up with my new piercing!
Colin was very quick with the whole process, explained everything, and the piercing was nearly painless! And I mean that! I had no idea a piercing could be so easy. I will definitely be going back to Colin for any future piercings.
Honestly, the whole process almost felt like I was being pampered. I got to lay down when he did the piercing, and he was very gentle and calming as he explained what he was doing as he cleaned, placed, and completed the piercing. Almost more pleasant that getting my brows waxed haha!
The shop is very clean, sterile, and aesthetically pleasing, and people at the front desk are very kind and attentive. I really enjoyed waiting in the lobby, as it had a very calming, serene vibe. The online booking also made everything very easy!

I went in to get my nipples pierced by Lil John and it was quick and almost painless. They made sure that I saw that the instruments that were being used for the piercing were sterilized. They showed me the sterilization card that would show things have been sterilized. Then took me into a private room. Did the piercing and then I went to pay for the procedure. That was easy.
John was absolutely amazing and not just him either! all the other artists and employees made me feel really comfortable and secure with my decision, not only that but they took the time to explain the process to me. I felt supported and understood and not just like a customer!! also I learned that they don't just pierce on the same exact spot for every person that comes through but it's tailored to you and your body! definitely going to be coming here again!!!
Went into get a nipple piercing and change out my industrial and belly piercing jewelry. Collin was incredibly kind and sweet. Small talk did not seemed forced at all. I didn't even realize I was getting pierced until he was putting the jewelry in. Will most definitely got back to see him soon.

The shop an all of the people in it are wonderful! Super-friendly greeting from everyone when you walk in the door. I bought some jewelry, but they were busy so I took it home to put in. They said if I had any trouble with doing it myself to come back the next day and they d take care of it. I did, and I did. Double-checked everything to make sure I was good to go! Cannot give this place enough praise. I had my daughter's ears pierced here and Little John was amazing. They treated the whole thing from start to finish with a ton of professionalism and took the modification seriously even for something as "trivial"as getting ears pierced. I can't imagine going to a Claire's for something like this after having taken my daughter here. While it was the more expensive option, the comfort and confidence that my daughter was getting a good piercing was overly worth it. Cannot recommend this place enough and I tell everyone about it.

The piercer, was wonderfull. The piercing was quick. But he was personable. Listened to my last bad piercing experience at a different shop. All in all it was an amazing experience. I plan on getting all of my work done there in the future.
I had my nose jewelry changed today at Laughing Buddha. Nova was very helpful as I picked out a new stud, and Colin changed it out quickly and painlessly. I stopped in on impulse and didn't have my ID with me, and I wasn't in the system--Nova was kind as she explained that ID is absolutely necessary, even for middle-aged folk who rarely get asked for it. But I was happy to go back. I would recommend Laughing Buddha for any piercings or jewelry swaps.
Way cool. A piercing for my daughter's 16th birthday, with dad (me ) getting my first piercing as well. We researched piercing shops well in advance and the reputation of laughing Buddha appears to be well founded. The friendly and reassuring atmosphere, the sterilization procedures, detailed explanations of the procedures and after care almost puts most medical clinics I've visited to shame :)

I took my 5 year old daughter there to get her ears pierced. Very courteous and professional. Also, great selection of high quality jewelry and everything was very organized and sanitary. I would always choose a professional piercing place over a mall stand.
I went here as a walk-in to get my left helix pierced. I definitely felt the process was rushed and my piercer (Lil John) did not adequately explain the healing or aftercare process, basically saying leave it alone and itll be fine . Since getting pierced, its swelled continuously and I ve found blood dripping down my face several times upon waking up. I wouldn t go here for a piercing again. Stick to Pierced Hearts y all

Not the best place for piercings. They had a great selection of earrings but put too small of a post in my ear when I got a piercing and it got infected and I had to remove the earring. Cost me $90 and I had to take it out 2 days later because of severe pain and not be able to even touch my ear. Just beware when getting a piercing here. I've had plenty of piercings and never have had this issue.
Friendly and professional staff, very clean piercing room with proper autoclave practices, great selection of jewelry, nice open floor plan. Walked in to talk to them about daith piercing and felt comfortable enough to finalize the decision to get one on the spot. I've had several body mods done before but Colin was still as careful and conscientious as if I were a first-timer, explaining every step as he did them, and spending extra time on placement. Actual pierce didn't hurt at all, somehow - just a little pinch! Afterwards no soreness or bleeding to speak of. Was very impressed overall with the efficency and attention to detail. Definitely going back to these guys next time I want a new hole punched. :)

While I do not recall the name of the person who gave me my piercing, I received the piercing Friday past, and have been very please with it. I remember how the piercer was communicative, and that the receptionist was friendly, and helpful. It isn't the first time that I have been to Laughing Buddha for a body piercing, and I appreciate that the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

I've gotten all of my tattoos here and I must say that it's probably the best work over ever seen! A lot of my friends have tattoos from other places and always need to go back for touch ups. I have only done that once here since it was a lot of shading. The place is full of talented AND friendly staff! You don't find that everywhere! The prices are also worth the work you get out of it! A repeat customer!
This was my first tattoo experience, and I never imagined it would go as well as it did. David was amazing. His conversation was engaging and uplifting and made me feel comfortable from the onset. My tattoo was placed on my side, on my rib cage, and I was extremely nervous about the pain. I appreciated so much the way about which he approached the tattoo, saving the most painful areas for last, such that I had a tolerance buffer. I would do it again in a heartbeat. And, my tattoo looks AMAZING!
Had Dan do this piece from a great series of children's books I grew up with. Usually don't write reviews but made an exception with how good he is. I love the placement. The way it shows below a short sleeve shirt is perfect, which was his suggestion and I'm so thankful he did.
Also I want to point out how good Dan's technique is. He is very efficient with his movements and pressure. Easily the least painful tattoo I've gotten and healed up incredibly fast. Will be coming back for similar pieces eventually.

this is specific to the artist Dan. He is super unprofessional during our 30 min appointment.
1. I understand my idea maybe a bit vague but this guy was also less willing to provide much input. Not proactive and engage in the communication though I been trying to convey my idea for the whole time. Basically I felt I was the designer. There was about 5 mins silent moment of me finding more images online while he was basically asleep and wanted the 30 minutes to end soon.
2. Keep saying other design sucks but didn t give me a better one. Actually, didn t even suggest me a original design at all.
3. I understand you want your customer s style more align your style but you cannot just basically silent and not brainstorming and communicating.
Consultation isn t free. Basically waste people s time and money. Won t come again.

I am new to body modifications. (Got my first piercing and tattoo in March.) I've gotten my work done in different shops across the PNW. And this was the best experience I've ever had. By far. John (Jon?) was very knowledgeable and super comforting. I was a little anxious about getting my cartilage pierced but he was able to ease my worries and help me relax a ton. I appreciate him very much. I will be back for more work. :)
I got my first tattoo done here by Kyle the day after my bday, I was very impressed with his line work overall and am so happy with the final result! I'm still in the first half of the healing process otherwise I'd provide photos. Definitely recommending my friends and family here. Can't wait to come back for more!
I went in with my husband to get his name tattooed on my ring finger while he got my initial on his ring finger. We worked with Anji - I showed her the font I wanted and she was able to do exactly what I wanted! She was awesome to work with - the tattoo itself was quick and I am extremely happy with the work! Will definitely come back for my next tattoo and will highly recommend Laughing Buddha Tattoo!
I think that this place has the greatest inventory of jewelry, especially BVLA. I wish they wouldn't have suggested that the smallest size ring for my septum would be too small because the one I got that was second smallest is not fitting on me the way I wanted it to. I wonder if being a petite woman is so uncommon that they were not aware an adult could have a smaller sized nose, but oh well I guess I will wait until I can afford a nice piece again in the far future. They were very nice and did their best to help me.
I had a great experience at Laughing Buddha Tattoo. It has been 7 years since my last tattoo because I wanted to find the right shop/artist for me. Someone with a unique style, a professional work environment, but also someone i get along with. Nothing's worse than getting ink by someone super awkward or just doesn't communicate well or your ideas just don't click. So i felt super comfortable, welcomed, and treated awesome. We had a 3 1/2 hour session, and we all got along really well cracking jokes laughing the whole time and getting to know just another random cool person. I was even made hot green tea at the end just because. Loved this place! Sara you rock!

I had never been to this particular shop so I decided to call ahead to ask if they had any wooden gauges in my size. The woman on the phone was very kind, helpful and informative. I deal with cranky people over the phone all the time so I just thought this was nice.

First things first, this place is so clean and bright. Not at all anything like I m used to at home. The person at the desk was so friendly and helpful he answered all my questions and helped me pick out a great piece of jewelry. Lil John was so knowledgeable and made the process seem like it was painless.
My husband and I had a great time! We were able to make a few adjustments before finally settling on our tattoos and felt comfortable while getting it from Chad! He is a wonderful artist and we are pleased with the end result, so much that we will be coming back!
I got my navel pierced by Lil John 3 days ago. It was easy to see that he has TONS of experience doing this. He was very professional, and had answers to all of my questions. TL;dr - inconsistent service that ranges from good to poor, especially with customer service and timing. Sometimes you'll be in and out, other times you'll be waiting 35+ minutes, even with an appointment. I will not be buying jewelry here, but I will be seeing a piercer for stretch appointments either here or somewhere else that's nearby if the wait is too long. Colin is a kind and patient piercer, so I recommend them highly.
I've had some mixed experiences here; I strictly wear glass right now because of allergies and got my gauges started at another shop ranked on par with LB. The glass here at LB is slightly cheaper and that was why I started buying here, plus the convenience of being nearby on the hill. I did my own stretches up until I was at a 6gauge.
I bought glass from LB for my 14, 12, 10, & 8g. All of those experiences were fine and quick, and usually only required someone asking what I needed. I would ask for my next size up in a basic black glass, and I left happy with new glass. Quick and efficient.
But the last 4 times, not so much. A month and a half ago, I came back looking for glass and wasn't even asked/helped for 30+ minutes while I stood in line or by the desk when it was empty. I asked if I could get some help and was told not for a while so I told them I was just gonna leave. I chalked it up to a busy day and was pretty upset at wasting 45 minutes of my time.
The next time they didn't have a pair of black gauges, they had a few singles (one black and one pink) and explained that piercers sometimes take a single gauge/stud back. So either they had the pair, or gave out solo gauges to some people, but wouldnt sell me either of the solos left in their stock. I was confused and kind of frustrated. I left and bought glass on Amazon because I just wanted new glass and was willing to wait for shipping.
After the new glass arrived it was pretty identical to LB glass but the size jump from an 8 to 6 is something I wanted help with. I went in to LB yesterday, confirmed it was a 6g, and made an appointment to get my ears stretched with a piercer. They mentioned it was quick and easy, and made an appointment with me for next day after I declined their offer to get me in sometime that day.
I waited 30+ minutes past my appointment time, in the lobby, after checking in. I will not be coming back for jewelry purchases and will be finding a new glass & jewelry shop with better service and consistency.
The piercer who helped me stretch today, Colin, was excellent, kind, and very understanding of my experiences and was careful to answer all of my questions about sizing, double flare gauges, and what I should do if my ears fluctuate or need to go back down a size. They also gave me excellent advice and care tips for my piercings. Thanks for the stretches and help Colin!
I did a lot of research to decide where to go and also followed some of the different artists who work at Laughing Buddha for a while. I was stoked that I was able to work with my first choice (Kyle) and it definitely did not disappoint! Everyone at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful with whatever information I was looking for and Kyle made the entire experience. I could tell that he knew exactly what he was doing and was personable and friendly the entire time! I will be back!
Edit: I've edited this review to include my "developing" experience. I had both nipples pierced during the same appointment, and the bars that were inserted were snug and the balls extremely flush to my nipples. I didn't question this, as the piercer is the professional, however two days later the swelling caused the left barbell ball to go completely inside the piercing. When I contacted the shop, they advised me to see a piercer in my local area (I am based in the UK) who said that both bars were not sufficiently long enough to account for the likely swelling following a piercing. I had to have BOTH bars changed out, which is obviously not advisable for new piercings. I would not recommend this establishment for your piercing needs.
Booked and paid for my piercings online, and was aware that I'd have to buy body jewellery in the shop, but $44 for the piercing fee seemed pretty reasonable. Arrived at the shop (which was gorgeous!) only to find that there was only one type of bar in stock - your bog standard silver barbell, only they cost $36 EACH, minus tax. Lovely shop, and can't fault the professional service by Lil John...but definitely not lovely nor professional enough to warrant charging those extortionate prices for basic body jewellery. If the shop *vibe* is 100% your jam, then Laughing Buddha is the place for you, but next time I'd rather use a similarly priced competitor that doesn't charge over the odds just because they can.
