I got my nose pierced by Colin a couple of days ago and it was a really great experience. I felt very comfortable and educated before he did it and the process hurt way less than I was anticipating. 10/10 would recommend him.
Went to laughing Buddha for my first piercing. I talked to Tyler, who was amazingly patient while I was making up my mind about what jewelry to use for my piercing. Lil John pierced my nose and he was wonderful and talked me through the whole thing. They give great advice, and make you feel very welcome. I was also really impressed that they have a sterility indicator for the equipment they use that they show you to prove everything is sterile. Will definitely be recommending Laughing Buddha to friends!
Did a Sunday night walk-in to get my nostril pierced. The whole staff was very kind and helpful. The place is clean and comfortable to wait in. All around good experience.

I had a great experience getting my septum done at Laughing Buddha. Lil' John, my piercer, was kind, patient, and assuring. Everyone there is a wonderful mix of very profession (about the important stuff, like sterilization) and very approachable (about the fun stuff, like choosing jewelry). Lil' John was even very sweet when I came back the next day in a panic because I couldn't get my flipper to flip. I would recommend anyone going there without hesitation.
Have been to Laughing Buddha for piercings before, first time for a tattoo, everything was clean, Chad was professional and super nice, I ended up with the exact tattoo I wanted and couldn t be happier. Definitely will be back.
Laughing Buddha was extremely easy to contact and set-up an appointment for piercings. I did most of it online and then went in the next day. Store is super clean and comfortable and everyone was very helpful. I believe I saw Colin and he was awesome. Not a huge fan of needles but he made the process quick and painless. Also they are very big on cleanliness and being very sterile with all their tools etc. Will def go back.
Super cute place! The staff are sweet & accommodating, and the sanitation standards here are way above par. They fit me in for a piercing even though my request was super last minute. Also, parking was very convenient ( although that might just be because my appointment was at night ). Will definitely be back!

Laughing Buddha's new location is awesome. I've been in countless tattoo shops all over the world, and to call this place a "shop" is a disgrace; the new location deserves to be called a studio or something elegant. The waiting area is contemporary and peaceful with the blend of modern furniture and fixtures mixed with hints of earth elements... Much like a high end Yoga studio. The jewelery is beautifully displayed in off the wall glass showcases.
As for my tattoo experience, I had the awesome pleasure of receiving a tattoo from David. David has a quiet demeanor and instantly makes you feel welcomed. He listened to my tattoo idea for a custom piece and then worked with me to ensure a quality design AND proper placement for my tattoo.

This is an incredibly clean studio, and I would highly recommend it. I walked in on a Wednesday evening for a conch piercing, and though they were busy, I was greeted and helped fairly quickly. One of the kind folks behind the counter helped me pick out jewelry, and made me an appointment for later on, since they were so busy at the time. They did ask for a $30 deposit, which would be applied to the total amount. The shop is in such a central location, so my friend and I walked up to Rachel's Ginger Beer while we waited. At appointment time, I filled out a waiver, and was brought back to the room. It was very very clean, and the piercer Colin was very professional and kind. I have a ton of piercings, but he still talked me through the whole process, which I appreciated so much. This shop even goes so far as to have you initial the sterilizer indicator strip so that you KNOW that your jewelry was sterilized. I highly recommend this shop, just make an appointment first. Parking can be tricky, so take an Uber or public transit and save yourself the headache.

The staff is super nice and professional. They listened to my concerns and worked with me to help figure out what jewlery would work best with my anatomy. The front desk staff were also awesome in that they chatted with me and before the piercing which was awesome because I was very nervous. Colin O talked me through the entire process of the piercing and was super professional. The end result is great and I'm very happy with it.

I got my first double lobe piercings in January, compliments of my parents for Christmas. I was super excited and had done countless research on the best and most affordable piercers in the Seattle area. A friend recommended Laughing Buddha after her positive experience with Colin. However, I did not see that level of professionalism during my visit. He pierced my right earlobe so close to my face that the earring post irritated the skin and caused my lymph node to become infected. I've seen my general physician AND a dermatologist in hopes of saving the piercing. Despite multiple rounds of oral and topical antibiotics, the irritation is still present (in the form of a bump) and I am needing to protect the skin behind with a band-aid. I have been struggling to decide whether or not to take the piercing out because of the high price my parents have paid and do not want to pay for a re-piercing. Overall, I am disappointed with the quality of care and talent that I experienced here.
Colin was amazing and made me feel really comfortable even though I was pretty nervous beforehand. I felt like I was just hanging out with a friend talking about our days and then suddenly I had a beautiful piercing. It went by quickly and painlessly. After my appointment, my friend and I went to Evolve Seattle for a piercing that she wanted to get, and that place was much less inviting. It had scary pictures of peoples crazy piercings on the wall. It made me appreciate Laughing Buddha much more. It definitely had a much friendlier and inviting environment and Colin was great.

I had a great experience here! The whole staff is friendly and ready to help. I got to work with Chad for my tattoo. I came in with an initial idea which he used and built on with me to get a final tattoo idea that I couldn t have come up with myself. He was super friendly and professional, and clearly took a lot of pride in his work. I ended up with a tattoo I m really happy with and will absolutely be going back to Chad next time I want something done!

When the piercer put the dot on my nose I said I wanted it further back. Rather than listening to what I was saying he pushed his point on me and now I have a piercing not where I wanted it. Yeah, should ve stood up for myself more, but you could also have someone who listens to customer concerns.

They take walk-ins. I only waited 5-10 min and was all done in less than 30. I went with the pricier ring which was ~$90 but they had options that were <$20. Everything seemed of really good quality nonetheless.

The two times that I have been there have been for piercings. First time was my upper ear (cartilage) and yesterday was my nipple. Both times have been extremely professional and comfortable. Yeah, piercings hurt but Laughing Buddha people have made it quick and worry free! I wouldn't go any other place for a piercing. Lil John was so great! Thank you again!

I ve gotten my tattoo here for the first time about a year ago now. I just turned 18 was super nervous. The staff walking in made me feel at ease. Meeting Thomas was a fun experience. After talking to him for awhile I wasn t nervous. He told me that he had a spot that day. During the tattoo process he let me pick the show I wanted to watch on netflix. Thomas is actually an amazing tattoo artist. Already have 2 tattoos planning to get more really soon!

I had a GREAT experience here. I got a double tongue piercing, Colin was my piercer. I am not a piercing novice but he made me feel very at ease and answered all of my questions. It was my first time getting a tattoo, and I chose to go with something super basic and simple but still extremely meaningful to me. I chose to go with Gustavo as my artist, because his lines and colors seemed nice and clean and bold, and my tattoo was pretty much just straight up colorful lines. He was great to work with even though I was having trouble articulating some points. He understood exactly what I meant for the most part and was quick to fix things when I explained myself wrong. When it came to the tattooing, he was very meticulous about placement and worked with me at mixing up the perfect shade of purple. As for the process, everything was nice and clean and quick. It hurt, obviously, but it wasn't unbearable and the finished work healed up fairly quickly, in part thanks to the great aftercare directions, but mostly due to the sanitary environment and his careful handling of the equipment. Everyone at the shop was friendly and funny, and I will definitely be going back again for my more complicated tattoos!

I was pretty upset how it went down 7 months ago..they gave me the wrong size piercing which kept popping out because of how swollen my ear wasand I lost it and had to buy a new one? When I felt like it should of been on the house considering it was their fault that the next two days the piercing kept coming out. If they are professional in their craft, they should of caught that.
I got a small tattoo on my upper left shoulder - my first tattoo ever. We (my fiance and I, who was also getting work done) went into the shop and tried to see if we could set up an appointment. We were overjoyed to hear they could take us back if we were willing to wait just an hour or so. We worked with an artist named Chad. He was super nice, very professional, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Once we were all finished up, they gave us some info on how to take care of the tattoo thereafter and we were on our way.
All in all, we were both overjoyed with the entire experience, and the quality of our tattoos are phenomenal. After getting my first tattoo, I can see why many people would never step into a parlor after a bad experience. I feel extremely lucky to have had this place be where I got my first piece done. The experience was fantastic and I plan on returning there to have more work done very soon.

I went here a few times for piercing related things. Buying jewelry is a cinch; they have a great selection and are happy to help with sizing or price questions immediately (of course, depending on if you come at peak hours), but i never went in there feeling ignored.
I had some ball capture jewelry and dermals adjusted for free and no grief about tip... obviously it is great to tip, but they were courteous and did not demand payment up front, which is great for a walk in and for keeping discussions organic.
imo, this is not some "drive by and get your first piercing place when you are drunk". If it is your first, then great! But they know how to pick clients and know when to turn away people who are not sober which helps the environment a lot. They also know how to educate without being condescending, and have no trouble declining people who visibly show uncertainty -- in a respectful way.
A lot of shops focus on profit only and will still take clients like that. I appreciate the expertise of all the piercers there and see true passion, which is a godsend.
For 1 star reviewers who feel the tattoo or piercing artist didn't help them find their vision well enough: This is actually a good thing. Does anyone really want a tattoo or piercing where the idea was incomplete? It's a sign of talent and worthiness for an artist to give honest feedback even if that means turning you away. this does include sometimes doing work anyways, but they aren't to blame 100% if a loose idea is brought to light in a way you didn't expect, just like a hair salon.
at this shop if you are open to having a convo, and take an expert's advice, instead of being obstinent -- they're real about it. while embarassing at times from the consumer's end, i personally curbed awkwardness in my own life by listening... and that's why i'll keep coming back. Keep it up yall... it sets a great example.
I live in OH and wherever I want a new piercing I will always makes the 2hr drive to Laughing Buddha. Lil John did my most recent piercing and has helped me change out jewelry several times. He is always so nice(shoot everyone in the shop is), and I've always felt so comfortable there! I was really nervous about the new piercing I got, but Lil John was so kind and gentle and didnt laugh at me when I realized I was worried about nothing I really wish I could give more than 5 stars!
