Larco, LLC

After 3 years we gave up on Larco pools. He left us with a Gunite shell and a mess. Broken curb, broken irrigation lines, severed cable lines, spilt oil on street and spilt cement on street. Each change order he issued there was fraud involved. After August 2025 and his bankruptcy it was obvious his subcontractors were not going to do work for him. We hired another local company to finish project and in only 1 month everything was completed. We have filed complaints with The BBB, The Florida DBPR, The Florida Attorney Generals office and gave info to a Pinellas County Fraud case.

In my opinion and experience, this company puts a capital C in the contractor fraud it commits! Fabricates, manipulates, and reports negative reviews on Google to mislead and deceive the public. Horrible and poor customer service, claims to be a religious man and veteran, yet he is 100% dishonest, breaches his own contract, misrepresents his company's capability and capacity told me my pool would be done in 90-120 days took over 15 months and the finish product is horrible, will not fulfill what is in the contract, and still charges you the same price for items he never installed that were in your contract, then plays dumb about poor quality and shoddy workmanship and subcontractors he hired that show up when they feel like it. You can never get a straight answer from this pool builder as the organization is non-existent, and he has no project manager, so he has no idea what is going on until you bring it to him, and then he pays oblivious to it. Says I checked it myself, and that wasn't there, so you must have done it despite being shown a picture prior to the pool being filled. No warranties are associated with my pool coating or its poor workmanship, which led to streaks and runs. The company refused to repair the leaks I have from their shoddy work, and the owner ghosted me after I emailed, calls he didn't, and texts he received. This company also did not pay subcontractors which led to a lien on my home from one contractor and when I contacted the subcontractor who did my screen enclosure to make repairs to the screen enclosure they put up, I was notified by the owner that they had never paid by Larco Pools LLC for the job they did and others, and they refused to come out and make repairs. I also had a lien placed on my home because Larco Pools LLC had a company do a proposal for a job and put it in my contract, then changed contractors to pocket $18,500 and left me with a lien for $8600 and never did anything but send them a letter with no follow up action to fix the issue. Despite the contract stating the screen enclosure will be at "Larco Pools LLC price". If you contract with this company for a pool build, expect this treatment because of its shady, dishonest business practices. Make sure you search for this company and the owner's name so you know what you're getting into, as other homeowners have been a victim of this horrible company as well. Also, this company has had its BBB accreditation revoked due to numerous negative reviews and a consistent, well-documented track record of dishonesty.

After almost 14 months, we are done with Larco Pools NEGATIVE : 5 STARS not in order, but all occurred • He change the color of the pool finish without telling us, we accepted it • The lanai ceiling was not even there, even after we told you it was wrong, had to be taken down and redone • You told my neighbor and us that you would fix the grass (sod) not done I did it • Said you would level yard and clean up when completed, again not done, I did it • Leak in lanai gutter, told you, never fixed • TRASH 1st time I picked up 3 crates full of debris, trash etc. Kept waiting for you to do it, said you would, never did after 4 weeks, I did it • Lanai contractor left metal chips inside and outside of lanai , never cleaned up, had to actually used a vacuum to clean up inside and outside, prevent dogs from getting hurt, workers said that the rain would take it away? • Lanai workers broke (chipped) 6 of my walkway blocks, you said you would fixed them, did not • Workers left my hose running for a day, just wasting water and my money • Front sidewalk broken by your subcontractors said you would fix it in the 1st month, had to fight with you to g et it fix 12 months later and a crappy job • Sprinklers heads and tubing, YES stated in contract not responsible, but OMG plumber guy broke it 3 times, same spot. 2 x after I marked it with blue paint and red stake, and one time broke the tubing and did not find it until I found the extreme leak in the grass area, I paid for all to be repaired • BIG ISSUE electrical to pump to house, in attic , your guys went corner to corner instead of properly laying it flat around the upper attic, went over wood, beams insulation and you never looked at the job after I complained. I also had to fix the NEW holes you put in the side of my home from the electrical work, they never filled it in • “I will power wash the oil off the roadway from my contractors, never did, I did • Not showing up, you or your contractors waited 2 times all day long for you • Deck/tile was not completed, no sand or stuff put between thee tiles to finish it, I had to do that myself • You forgot the diamonds on the steps, had to get them redone • Told me 2 different times pool would be done for visitors, Feb- NOT DONE April-NOT DONE August and still was not done • Leaky pipes with filter and pump, found out filter pump was not the one we ordered (CONTRACT) • Filter and 2 filter tubing was plugged and not working, you had the BS to tell me it was my fault because of the sand I put on the tile, it ended up being the shock creek your guys plugged it up. • BIGGEST CONCERN: you said you had everything done and completed, end of contract, pipes still plugged, you put in a chlorine pool NOT a saltwater pool setup and no aqu-link setup, after we told you this, you told my wife financially having troubles, I told you I don’t care I have a contract we paid in full FINISH it and do it right • Because you did not put in the right equipment, we had to pay extra money to get things fixed right Thank you Jandy and Penny Pincher they gave us the pool school you promised • Leftover shot creek was hidden under my wife’s flower area under the mulch? On top of sprinkler heads? • Because of the shot creek your guys blocking the flow of water, you came an drain half the water out to “fix it” lost money because of pool water and chemicals. Also after being halfway drained the sides of the pool that was not visible started to show a shadow of the tile caulk dripping (acid stains?) down the sides, looks terrible • And after everting was finally fixed, updated corrected you said everything working fine, connection to salt water was not working penny pincher found it and Jandy fixed it • Knocked my mailbox off the stand, just put it back up and did not tell me • Scuffed marks n fence from feet and tools • I have probably many other issues, but after almost 14 months of my back yard bring held hostage, stress, anxiety, BS Glad I am done with you. • Because of the shot creek your guys blocking the flow of water, you came an drain half the water out to “fix it” lost money because of pool water and chemicals. PLEASE CONTACT ME AGAIN Need your lawyers number/name or be a witness for you the year since this review its gotten worse. 1st let it be known that Mr. Larco after my 1st review he threaten me with service (process server) that if I did not remove this review and others he would sue me for slander, Its not slander when it’s the truth ( I have pictures and documents and now witnesses) plus its called freedom of speech. During one of our recent storms, we got issues with the pool and pump. We had to call in 2 professional to fix and repair that was damaged from the storm and what Mr. Larco did wrong or did not do all with the equipment and wiring. Found out that the wi-fi equipment we paid for and was hooked up was now change to a cheaper lesser model (yes we have pictures and documentation). They had to fix the wiring system and other items that I will not get into, just save it for court, but the repairs have been documented and both of our contractor’s will testify to what they had to repair, fix, etc. the wi-fi system is a missing item or STOLEN that he had originally put up for us and then change to a cheaper unit and took the expensive one. Now be advised he has already threated us once with a lawsuit, stating all of this is slander and untrue. WERE READY Pictures Documents and other companies we had to use to fix what he did and did not do. Not only stressful, gross neglect and harmful for my wife and I (pain and suffering) This ordeal with him I wish we never got involved with him or his company POS WE spent a lot of extra money. Also Mr. Larco don’t contact my wife, you come to me. More information, he is a retired police officer (he is the type of person who give good cops the bad name) . Tile is now sinking, has to be repaired, the wiring to the system was not correct, in fact OUR electrician had to rewire everything over (warranty by the company Gandy) Wires were not correct and we had to pay extra to wire up the pool heater. There are so many problems and issues, that we will just bring it up in a court proceeding. I just wanted to warn others. Don’t hire this guy, lies, stole our wifi monitor and replaced it with a cheaper version. We are so pissed off and upset that any “professional” would act like this. Mr. Larco this is NOT slander, only the truth, we have pictures, witnesses and contractors who had to fix or repair what was supposed to be in the first place. I have so much more I want to say about this person and his company, but you all know how the wife and I feel about the whole operation and Mike himself. Feel free to contact me PS this is my 2nd review, please look at the 1st one, if its still there as Mike tried to have it removed.
