LaQuinta Inn & Suites-Horn Lake Review

Hotel was not clean. And complaining did not make a difference money wasted

Great midway stop going west and 20min south from Graceland

Internet would only work for 20 minutes and then have to be reset continuously by the front desk. Air conditioner in my room would not actually cool the room. Front desk didn't really seem to care about either problem. I stayed here for 2 nights during the week.

One of my worst experiences at a hotel. Traveling back from Florida, very tired, I arranged to stay at this hotel with my family and dogs. Never had a problem with La Quinta in the past, always welcome my dogs. Not at this place. They were too large, and the desk clerk was very rude and didn't care at all that it was 10:30 pm at night and we were exhausted. Fortunately, Drury Inn was across the road-they welcomed us with open arms, and we had a great stay. Will always look for Drury Inn when I travel. No longer a La Quinta fan.

Nice hotel and would stay again. Wish breakfast would go little longer on weekends and they had more of a selection and waffles lol. Pool was nice although website stated it was a hot tub and there was not. Room was clean and comfortable and housekeeping staff was nice

My toilet stopped up. I asked if I could get a plunger. After 30 minutes, front fesk handed me this, a plunger in a garbage bag. Do I look like a plumber? I have Multiple Sclerosis, I have bladder issues and I am exhausted. Not cool. UPDATE: Manager gave me discount, toilet unclogged at 9am. The room itself was new, modern and clean.

Clean, comfortable, easy access to restaurants and shopping. Kid friendly and pet friendly. Love the location and the customer service has been great. There were no luggage carts available and the customer service rep stopped what she was doing and went and found one for me. For that I thank her. Wish I had gotten her name.

Very clean, up to date modern hotel. Have been here many times. Love this place!

Very clean, well decorated. Breakfast was a bit of a problem. The pancake machine was jammed up and the coffee carafes we're empty. It took 10 minutes to actually get some coffee.

This is an update to an original review I did at Christmas. It was nice, 5 star at Christmas. NOW, we stayed in a room with stains on bedspread. I had to ask for another and the tub water wouldnt go down. It was standing water in the tub because the plug wouldnt stay open me bl .. Oh and if you have pets, avoid, avoid, avoid! We were not told ANYWHERE in our reservation about any pet fee. In December, we were not charged. They blindside us at check-in with these new pet fees blaming Wyndham for buying them out and yet not giving any time for turnover to new ownership and honoring the old until sufficient notice is unethical and illegal. THEN, I get a call halfway through a hair appointment saying guests are complaining about my dogs barking. I told them they have bark collars on. What do you expect me to do? I have just as much of a right to be there as anyone else. What an inconvenience. I immediately went after my appointment, canceled the rest of the reservation and booked elsewhere. The management is rude and their practices and the way they treat people is what'll cause their business to dwindle.

Room was spacious. Staff are friendly. Pool is "ok" nothing great, not bad though. Breakfast was standard, well set up though. Billing is horrible. Secured room with debit card, paid with credit card, both cards have pending holds.

Love the new remodeling at Drury Inn & Suites. Will always look to book at Drury Inn before anywhere else!! This says La Quinta but we were at the Drury Inn across the street.

It's a nice place but the walls are thin. You can hear the tv from the next room and any banging around. The hotel is located south of the airport and right in line with the flight path and you hear every one. The pool and hot tub were in need of a cleaning.

I stayed two nights at this LQ Inn and found it absolutely fabulous. The employees were extremely polite and helpful. The room was immaculately clean! I felt the price was a bit steep ($105/night + over $10 in taxes) but upon seeing the room, I felt its extreme cleanliness alone was actually worth it. And it is a 100% smoke-free establishment. I highly recommend it.

I must agree with another reviewer about the thin walls. I didn't hear anything from the rooms next door to me, but the one upstairs .... ugh! I think the person staying there must have been wearing lead boots to stomp across the floor.

Hotel is always great, but truck drivers beware of the cratered lot they provide for parking...It is the worst Ever! I spoke with the guy at the front desk about how dangerous is was, but he said it wasn t their lot. However, they have a large sign stating that it is for their customers along with Econo Lodge customers only! Hopefully they will have it fixed before a truck turns over!

Some of the cleaning staff pestered us a bit when we were packing to check out but otherwise clean and comfortable stay.

The rooms were gorgeous and they are in the process of further remodel.

Have stayed here before and there was no pet fee. This time there was. Since we wouldn't be refunded our nights charge we paid it. Making this the most expensive laquinta with taxes and fee over $170. Never again. Room was clean but did have dog kibble on carpet. Receptionist did not greet us but stood looking at us til we spoke first. I think she dreaded telling us the pet fee. When you haven't charged before it should be told before a non refundable reservation is made. Bad policy.

Its nice, clean and modern. The indoor pool is clean and it also has a decent fitness center.

Super Nice Clean rooms, awesome staff, convenient location with shopping and food within walking distance to several places. Great Price!! I would definitely stay here again.

Great front desk service, looked newer on the outside and more worn inside, but clean enough to stay overnight. Love La Quinta's dog policies.

Had a great experience there nice clean rooms actual cable and they served a REAL breakfast not just toast and fruit. Loved the indoor pool as well would love to go back!

La Quinta Inns have usually always been a descent stay in my experience, and this one is not an exception!

Clean and shiny everywhere. The beds I found to be very soft and comfortable.

The breakfast was enjoyable for a continental breakfast.

Arrived at 11pm on 4/26/16, fast n easy check in. Loaded luggage, multi bags on cart, discovery: no sofa in the room (see posted pix w/captions). Returning to car, staff asks if all is well...NOW it's shared...oh yeah, we're reupholstering furniture. I'll leave a note to see if they can bring you one tomorrow.

Not sure about other travelers, but I actually USE the couch to sit on, vs lying in bed or sitting on the edge. Also, it's used to open/store luggage (not the floor or the bed).

It looks beautiful on the outside and in the lobby, it is anything but on the inside of the rooms. The bathroom had dried semen, and tangles of hair in the shower. There was dog food in the floor, there was a makeup sponge in plain sight under the sitting chair. Our relatives staying in another room, their room smelled like stale cigarettes and their sheets had black stains all over them. This place is awful.

Location was convenient, front desk staff were very friendly and the rooms have been nice and clean each time I've visited.

My only complaint is that this last time, housekeeping seemed a bit short-staffed for a popular weekend, so early check in wasn't available even though we offered to pay for the accommodation...we are still grateful housekeeping didn't rush the job though because the cleanliness was high quality as has been custom for us at this hotel.

Clean rooms, good price. We stay here often. Good place to stop on the way south or back home from IN

Worst experience I have had. I stay at La quinta's all over the country 4 and 5 nights a week. Came to this one for the first time and everybody was very rude. I also arrived at 2pm which is normal check in at every hotel I have ever been to and was told that I needed to leave and come back at 3 which was when their check in started. Lady behind the counter would not cancel my room and instead charged me for it even after I told her to cancel it well before the cut off. I will NEVER be back that's for sure!

Friendly staff, clean & well stocked. The downfall is no soundproofing here; any little noise travels through the entire building.

The front desk staff was helpful and the maid service was great they made sure to ask several times if I needed anything. The bed was great a d the pillows nice. Great sleep woke feeling lime i slept all nite,this is unusual for me. Clean overall they have an indoor pool and an adequate fitness room breakfast was ok. Nice tv,Wi-Fi was good. Overall good job to the staff.

I have a service dog and though they do not acknowledge service dogs at La Quintas in Tennessee, it ha not changed the high opinion I have of La Quinta. Always such a pleasant experience staying with them.

The room was surprisingly nice! It resembled a higher in Hilton or similar hotel.

Location is alright, only view on my side was of the Drury. Nice and organized rooms, and service was good.

1 star removed for older rooms and broken shower curtain. Would stay again for sure, in very nice area just off I-55 and close to lots of shopping and eating.

Kind Staff, Indoor Pool and Dog Friendly! My family and I stayed here during the 4th of July Holiday. Great location near tons of shopping and restaurants. This hotel is fairly new and offers free breakfast from 6am-9am; they are serious about ending breakfast, so be sure to get there or it will disappear at 9am sharp! We had our grandchildren so we were at the pool daily, even when it rained because it Indoors (bonus points)!

The employees are very nice, polite, and professional. The breakfast buffet is delicious. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you are well taken care of. Anytime I stay in Horn Lake/Southaven area I will stay here!

Great experience! Traveling a long distance for the holidays with two dogs and the employees at the front desk were so kind! Room was large and really nice, and guests were all quiet on our floor. Breakfast started at 4am which was awesome since we were leaving early to continue traveling. Will most definitely stay again when passing through!

Nice clean motel. Very helpful and courteous staff. Good breakfast. Handy access to the interstate. People above us were a bit noisy early in the a.m. Good restaurants nearby.

Nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff. Had booking problems both times with 1800 number and when we arrived, reservation couldn't be found. Manager unsure of reasons both times but said she made sure that we were not charged twice.

Starting to show it's age but they are starting to remodel and I love the sheets and you have everything you need micowave, fridge

Very nice, wish breakfast was served until 9:30 or possibly 10. Hot tub was very nice, the pool water was too cold for an indoor pool. Bed was very VERY creaky, girlfriend had trouble staying asleep.

Nice hotel. They have started to charge $20.00 and up to $40.00 for pets. La Quinta bought by Wyndham! Not good changes. Some but not many have decided to still accept no fee pets. But you have to call to ask! Going to be some unhappy people. Best Place to stay with pets not anymore.! Feel betrayed stayed with LQ for many years!

It has a swimming pool and they make sure that your room has clean bedsheets and clean towels and they are sweet as they can be

It was sold out but definitely one of the best hotels ive been too

Unreasonable, I've stayed at this hotel about every other week for two nights for the past 6 months. Cleanliness was never terrible. But today I had something personal come up and had to check out a day early and at 11:40am and they still charged for the full night stay. Will not return unless I get a refund for 90% of my charged night. (Update: Took a few attempts but they came to their senses. Star rating updated)

Nice establishment and rooms and friendly staff at first . Shortly after entering the room we found towels that appeared to be covered in vomit hidden in the small closet. After notifying the staff they came to remove the towels. I then expressed my concern of the room being properly cleaned and the staff member replied with an attitude asking is there anything else I can do for you sir?!? No reassurance, no offer to move rooms, etc. Better breakfast can be found in motels/hotels with far less of a price tag. I wound not recommended.
