For a steakhouse Miller & Carter had quite a few other options, even a couple of vegan dishes. I choose a vegetarian burger and although it was lovely it really did not compare to the salmon my Grandmother had. My Grandmother's salmon dish was beautifully cooked and presented with lots of fresh looking vegetables. The only negative comment I could have about the food is that most of the dishes on the menu were over complicated with long lists of trendy ingredients. For example the vegetarian burger with feta had pickled cucumber tomato, salad and a pineapple relish on it.

The thing you couldn't fault was how absolutely brilliant the staff were. They were friendly, welcoming and immensely helpful. The way they treated my elderly grandma really touched my heart.

Walked thru the door, nice people, got to the bar and pretty much walked off as menu doesn't have variate and it's over priced, but if u willing to spent whole life savings for one dinner it's OK.....

My second visit & certainly not my last. A wonderful menu & brilliant service, nice change not to have loud background music.

Food was fab, though one steak was undercooked. However we were extremely disappointed with the seemingly lack of covid precautions. Tables weren't separated and all were in use, multiple waitresses served us. Waitresses handling loose cutlery and leaning over us passing food etc. No awareness as to the 2m guidelines. We felt really uncomfortable

A superb place to eat . Staff are kind and very helpful and food is delicious. My first review went wrong. Please forgive me...I pressed the first star instead of the last and before I knew what happened it was gone. I am truly sorry for any upset.

the worst service we have ever had ,rude staff ,no manners whatsoever ,the food was absolutely laced with salt we complained but nothing was done ,they eventually knocked one steak off the bill. having been to several of these establishments this is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been in

If you want to go ask them about the steaks they what there talking about the only bull you get is on the plate

Very good menu, prompt service, without being over the top. Food portions good size. All in all a nice place to visit, will return. Staff very polite and helpful.

No longer a public bar! What a shame this has always been a really good bar but we were turned away today as we only wanted a drink. I think the food is very expensive for what you get at these places so won't be back, really wish it had stayed as it was.

Went this afternoon for a drink in the sunshine and found at it is not possible to have a drink unless you are having a meal.
The local community have lost a pub and there is nowhere else nearby.

I had heard so many good things, and they didn't disappoint, had a lovely (perfectly cooked) fillet steak with greens ... oh an a few rijoas :P

Settled in nicely since they opened. Consistently good food. Waitress was a little snippy when we specified a mocktail (for someone who was pregnant), May have been a bad night for her. Otherwise very good and she mellowed towards the end of the night.

We had a lovely lunch yesterday, the food was really fab and being a coeliac I m always a little concerned about eating out but the gluten free menu was great and the service was first class. Susan our waitress was superb, very knowledgeable and she was really lovely with my elderly father, made him feel completely at ease. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it. Thank you to Susan and the chefs you made an ordinary day into a memorable one!!

Service with Matt was flawless, the food was served promptly, as were our drinks. The steaks were cooked to perfection. All vivid measures in place to ensure everybody's safety.

I'm sharing this on behalf of my parents and aunt and uncle. Thank you so much for looking after them yesterday evening. They had travelled for 10 hours from the south coast to see me and their granddaughter. Before continuing home to Scotland. You reopened the kitchen to make them a late meal. My aunt is diabetic and needed to eat before continuing their journey. I brought them to you because I had heard your food was very good. It was nearly 10pm. They were very grateful you accommodated them as am l. They have told me the food was outstanding. I will be telling everyone how hospitable you are. Thank you so much to all the team back and front of house. I really did make the right choice sending them to you. We will be back (during the correct opening times), very soon.

Ok it's a steak house so no doubt if you like steak you will be ok. However...I had the salmon...it was very over cooked....it was supposed to come with sampire...it didn't...it was served with a handful of soggy veg and some salad leaves well past there sell by date. The spoonful of sauce it came with was awful. So...I won't be going back.

Meal ok, not a big foodie, but felt we were rushed to the next course, total of one hour for three courses, fastest ever.
