The Wine Cellar is the place to be! Service is not fast, but that is the point. Service is personal and allows you to enjoy the experience. Hint: do not get a drink at the bar, then sit in the comfortable chairs in the rest of the space; they are serviced separately.

The Red Snapper special was fantastic. The lamb was cooked perfectly. Jonathan provided excellent service. The egg nog mousse was bland, but that did not take away from an enjoyable meal.

We've had lunch at Canal Side several times this year. It's a beautiful atmosphere in the outdoor seating area, and the service has been great. The food is also decent, but can be a bit inconsistent. On the one hand, everything seems very fresh, and I love their French onion soup (not too salty, but good flavor). On the other hand, some of the items I have ordered were very bland. For example, today I had "gyro" made with grilled chicken, and the meat tasted totally unseasoned (when it should be quite heavily marinated and/or seasoned if they want to call it a gyro). Another time, I had a fish taco that was also a bit tasteless. The fundamentals of both dishes were good (fish was fresh, chicken was tender and juicy), but just needed a lot more seasoning.

Also, I really wish they would lose the cheesy 80s music that they blast all through the Saturday lunch. I"m not talking about The Cure and U2 here. More like Eddie Grant, Olivia Newton John, and glam metal ballads. It really ruins the atmosphere.

One last thing, that can be a huge positive, or a negative, that you should be aware of: they allow dogs at the outdoor seating area. I personally like this, even though I don't have a dog, and they even bring them water bowls, which is pretty cute.

Anyway, if you're reading this, Management, love your place, and we'll be back, but please pick some different music and break out the salt and pepper and other spices in the kitchen.

The weekend rate for the River View suite has grown from an expensive $500 per night to a whopping $710 ($825 with fees and taxes) in recent years. While the room is beautiful, that's a lot of money for a small town inn without a pool or a spa. Despite the room being vacant less than 24 hours before the next check in, management would only "lower" the rate to $550 plus taxes and fees ($50 higher than the full price rate just a few years ago.) What a holiday discount! lol. I guess they'd rather have the room sit empty, than accommodate a frequent traveler. Needless to say, I booked somewhere else and saved a lot of money.

The service was good but the food wasn't. I was sick all night after dinner there, maybe it was because of the oysters. They bring the oysters already dead and detached from their shell, it is not appealing, and you cannot see if the oyster is fresh. So disappointing.

Fun

This review has nothing to do with the food or atmosphere! Both were lovely. Our misogynistic waiter on the other hand was NOT LOVELY! My girls friends and I were enjoying a going away dinner before we leave for college. Our server, Brett, made two comments about the quantity of food we consumed and referred to us as little girls. These comments were severely hurtful and triggering to one of the members of our party who struggles with disordered eating! This ruined our expensive going away dinner that we were all very much so looking forward to!

Went with my mom, had a great wine list (I highly recommend the Malbec) and the fish tacos were to die for, on top of a beautiful view even in the winter. Service was good, portions and presentation was great. I will be back.

Good.

We stopped in the Lambertville Station Restaurant for lunch. It was a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is in an attractive old inn that has been around for more than a century. The food was great. It was a rainy, cold day so we each had a warm sandwich and a cup of soup. The restaurant felt a little understaffed, but the staff that was there were friendly and accommodating.

We went for dinner last night. Love the ambience and location. Very hip! Our meal experience was not what we expected. My husband took advantage of the Wild Boar on the dinner specials menu. He has had it before. He was looking for the slight "game" taste, not there. He said it was also tough. Not happy. I ordered the Halibut and have had that before. My favorite white fish, when available. This was not Halibut and was also overcooked. Very dry and had a tough, chewy side. Left in the pan too long? Crispy.

My wife's meal had a fly cooked in with the vegetables, and they took it off the bill. Table next to us had two lapdogs which are out of their masters' laps. Dogs were given a water bowl by the waitress who kept running her hands through her hair then served our food.

On a warm busy Sunday, they managed to find us a table inside within 10 minutes! Our server was very polite and attentive, coming to check on us numerous times. We ordered fish and chips and the black bean burger. Everything was prepared deliciously. And to top it off a generous 'regular' customer sitting behind us paid our bill for us! I made sure to thank him for his kindness!! This has become one of my favorite stops in Lambertville

This is a mixed review even though I gave it five stars. I ordered the pork. The sauce was so outstanding it was like nothing I've ever had but I believe I did get food poisoning the next day which is shocking because it's a high-end restaurant. It came with spinach and potatoes which were fabulous. Don't ever ask to be on the third floor as it is horrific and boring you want to be on the first floor near the canal or you want to be on the lowest level which has extremely romantic seating but close and tight to others dining near you. You can wear regular clothes and it does have a bar there is no view of the River from this restaurant as you might expect. Don't bother with the desserts they don't live up to the rest of the restaurant

This place is always a pleasure. I love how predictable it is. The service is amazing everytime and they have great outdoor seating alongside the canal. The menu quite varied and every meal (brunch, lunch and dinner) I have ever had has come out perfectly. I especially enjoy trying the various selection of oysters! I can't rave enough about how great this place is!

World class spot. I ve celebrated Mother s Day here a bunch and even organized corporate lunches and Christmas parties for my team here- if it s good enough for mama, it will impress my bosses too! I no longer live in town, but a memory I will always have is the chef adjusting a recipe for me due to a medication I was on- it tasted incredible too. He really took care to keep my safe and happy. I ll never forget that. I love this spot- high quality but not pretentious and amazing customer service. Thank you!!!

We love coming here! Grateful for the vegan options ! Thank you again for the delicious food! We had calamari, frizzled brussel sprouts, hubby had a steak sandwich and I had the vegan stir fry.
