some aides very rude and dont let patients know scheduled therapy or shower time. also woken up early with no warning and told to get out of bed and literally tried to pull sheets from under me when I did not x
comply immediately. food is terrible and no alternatives offered especially to a diabetic patient. other occupant was always hot so room kept cold regardless of my being cold and uncomfortable.

Dietary sent the wrong foods to my husband. He is on coumadin and he is not allowed to have any food that's green that is including brussel sprouts. And he is supposed to be getting double portions and he's not. And they're not giving him his medicines like he's supposed to be. Most of the medications being done right but not all.

Greetings All. I would just like to share an experience I had at this facility. On February 8 of this year, the facility allowed my family to have a memorial service for a Resident (my uncle) that resided there. It was truly a great experience for an otherwise sad occasion. Clarice, an administrator there, was extremely gracious. Clarice made sure the venue was prepared just for us. She even stayed with us during the service as well to ensure everything ran smooth. Other staff came in and offered their condolences as well. I am very appreciative of the support our family was given.

My grandmother broke her hip and arm and was sent to Lakepointe Villa for rehabilitation because she could not walk or move on her own. We did not have a chance to research facilities before she was sent there, an oversight I will not allow to happen again. Since removing her she and I have both shared this story and NO ONE was surprised. They have a very bad reputation in the medical community. She was there a little less than 24 hours before we pulled her for their neglect. From the beginning they had no idea who she was or why she was there because the prior shift did not let the later shift know she was coming. Then they didn t greet her or introduce themselves but acted irritated because the prior floor nurse didn t tell them about her. They had to call her at home to find out the details. She did not receive her pain meds for almost 15 hours! She was not told why. She was left dirty for almost an hour on two occasions after asking for the bed pan but not getting it. She was asked if she had eaten, she said no but they never fed her that night. She asked later for a few crackers or jello and an extra pillow, she never got them. They did not set up the few things she brought with her so she was not given her cell phone until finally the next morning the cleaning girl was kind enough to find it and plug it in for her. I tried calling and my call was sent back to reception 3 times because her ward wouldn t answer before I gave up. When I got there the receptionist was on a blatantly personal call and made me stand there for 10 minutes, never acknowledging me until she was done. This is just the lowest points, I could go on, the food is also almost inedible. I couldn t get her out of there fast enough. The advocate I started working with through BC/BS will be sending all this information to her higher ups and she said a full investigation will be started. Hopefully something will change so this won t happen to anyone else s loved ones.

Wish I could give zero stars. If you actually love you elder you plan to put in here, don't!!!! Staff is lazy. And won't do anything. Only this past year my mom started having clean clothes regularly. But nothing else's has changed. So she's in a way better home now. Staff mistreats residents, as well as horrible management. And social workers treat residents poorly. And this has been brought up to corporate, and still nothing has been done several times from residents. I honestly do not know how these people still have a institution. Best of luck!!!

This place needs to be shut down. My mom was there a week. Most horrible staff I've ever dealt with. Unprofessional. Don't care at all. They sit around with each other . They ignore calls for help. BUT WHEN IT RAINED... YEP THE ROOF IS SO BAD THAT THEY HAD BUCKETS EVERYWHERE. patients were in other rooms lights flickering. Terrifying. Don't put anyone in this place! I beg of YOU DON'T!!!

This place is dispicable. Fecal matter on the toilets the wall the toilet paperroll. The food was horable. Why they ask what you want is beyond me. My wife asked for salad with her meals didn't get them. Asked for watermellon. Her neighbor got watermelon and she hates it. And there is more horror but I'll just say, Don't Let Them Take Your Family Members Here.

The short term rooms are great, but if you decide to leave your love ones there long term it is horrible. As soon as you get to the long term hallway all you smell is urine. The rooms are raggedy and small. The staff is terrible also.

My loved one has been here well over a month. The care started out okay and then it all went to hell. They don't respond to the residents call alert for 20-30 minutes and the excuse is always the same "We're short staffed" "I was doing something else for someone else" One nurse even started "Oh I was sleeping" . Had a situation where an aide was force feeding my loved one!
Recently they switched him to a different room/wing of the building... Still no better treatment. If you are considering place your loved one here, wait until the restrictions are lifted!!!!! I'm almost certain that the staff attitudes will change. They lack compassion!!

Years ago they seem to be decent enough until COVID-19 hit, they put the nursing home on lockdown Friday, March 13, 2020, my mother and her roommate were both bedbound residents, April 5 they called me to tell me my mother was unresponsive and had a fever and they were sending her to the hospital, there within 24 hours she tested positive for Covid, 10 days later my mother passed away. I had a friend visiting their mother there that was in hospice in the end of March and saw none of the staff wearing masks while they were changing patients bedding and bringing their food to them, and this is why they have received one star because they brought coronavirus to my mothers bedside and killed her single-handedly

I will never be placed in this place again. When I arrived from the hospital I instantly smelled urine. I asked the paramedic if this place was bad he responded "I have only seen a few worse",The carpet in the residents room was never vacuumed or cleaned the whole month I was there. The room had orange chairs right out of the sixties. I asked for my night medication and was told the dr had discontinued all of it and I would see him the next day. I could not sleep all night. When the dr came in he changed all my medication. I asked for a meeting with management. I complained about the food which one aid told me she has worked here for 8 years and refuses to eat here.I asked what my goals were here and I replied to bare weight on my right leg which was broken and required surgery. Therapy consisted of doing puzzles, playing cards, and putting pegs in holes. I stood up 3 times for a few seconds at the end of therapy. The social worker blocked my several attempts of transferring to another rehab place. Several of my items where stolen. To shower room the aid took me to a room which smelled like urine. The table had 2 wholes in it one for your butt and one for your head. The aid scrubbed your head and but and rinsed you off with cold water while talking to 3 other aids saying how gross it was cleaning poop off another resident. After my shower I was placed in my wheelchair and the shower table was push in a pile of others. Was it ever cleaned? Most of the aids had bad attitudes and took it off on their residents. For example I got a roommate who had a hip replacement. It was 9:00 pm she rang her call light the aid came in and said "what?" She replied I would like to get ready for bed by brushing my teeth and washing my face. The aid replied "honey you are ready for bed, you are in it" She left. The woman called her husband and he picked her up to take her home. The nursing supervisor said "you are leaving against medical advise and my get stuck with the bill. She did not care and left.I did not get another room mate for 3 week...I think they thought I told her how bad this dump was. I could go on and on but I think I will leave it here.

My mom was here a day and a half and they almost killed her. I don't understand why they take traceostomy patients if their staff is not trained to take care of them. My mom stated she could not breathe to the staff and instead of them checking her air way they put oxygen on her. My mom had a mucus plugged and since they didnt do anything about it my mom arrested. Luckily the cpr brought her back but I am still dumbfounded how this even happened if they are "trained" to take care of trach patients.
