Social distancing impossible with 1 door for entrance and exit.
Old man at thee door is rude and abonxious.
Our rain cover for pushchair had broken and he wouldn't let a baby wait in the door to keep dry.

A great place to head. 7 of us enjoyed the day here going round the aquarium - especially the Ray section where you can touch them. Learned about lots of local sea life.
The team also offered us crazy golf for free, which was great. We all enjoyed the course. It could, however, do with some minor fixes and tidying of the courses. The numbers on the course weren't visible. But we all played just fine.

However, an overall enjoyed day.

Great Aquarium, lots to see, staff very knowledgeable, informative and passionate about what they do. It's great they have lots of amazing projects like starfish rehabilitation and a lobster nursery. They aim to introduce thousands of lobsters back into the local coastline. Will definitely go again. could do with updating some of the graphics around the exhibits but that's a very minor thing. Well done.

A bit expensive on the entrance fee but we did get a discount on a group booking. Informative and enjoyable Aquarium lots of photo opportunites. Cafe on site very nice and food was good. We were able to find some inexpensive gifts for the children. The crazy golf was fun .... until it rained!! Play Area near buy as well. Staff helpful and friendly. Mini kids activity to do on way round, once completed free stickers!

Fabulous day out. So much to see. Very good value. Talks are informative and staff so nice. The cafe has delicous food and cooked to order. The crazy golf is such a laugh, especially if you are beating the grand kids. Well done Maryport council. Excellent. The town is now TOP of our visits when we travel over from Tyneside. Always a good day out. Philip stephenson.

Small but entertaining aquarium. Lots of different fish, mostly local, but shown in their natural habitat. Opportunities to touch the rays and watch fish being fed. Reasonable cafe, though it can get a bit crowded. Well stocked gift shop.

Lovely to take the children to something like this - it was fun and educational - fish, lobster and their babies, starfish and seahorses - they could touch and look - a nice gift shop and cafe - friendly staff and easy access

Small and intimate aquarium, this only took less than two hours to get around but you could revisit as many times as you liked upto closing time. It was a little slippy underfoot due to a very wet floor but the fish tanks were clean and the fish happy and healthy.

The experience was lovely despite covid restrictions. Everything was clean and antibacterial foam was available throughout. Lots of sealife to see throughout. The staff were very informative and pleasant :)

This aquarium is so good because of the ray pool where visitors are able to touch the fish. The only aquarium I've found anything even comparable is in Atlanta where you can feed the rays with tiny fish but you still can't touch them.

What an amazing place! Had visited here 8 years ago and it is still as amazing!! It was great to see the baby rays and to learn how they are formed. The cafe is great too selling lovely homemade food.

For such a relatively small aquarium (compared to some of the larger, city-based ones), there is certainly a lot to see here!

My personal highlights included the Ray tank/enclosure (where you were actually allowed to touch the Rays (but *not* any other fish)) and the "lab", which housed a number of younger versions of things visible elsewhere (baby seahorses, anemones, moray eels, jelly fish - and more!)
