Small aquarium near the harbour. The aquarium is good for kids and the cafe is a nice place to sit overlooking the harbour. Food is fairly simple but tasty and well priced.

Lovely place, seems much larger on the inside! Friendly, informative staff made the visit great and the 'children' enjoyed the 'spot the fish' sheets.
The prices are way to high for the experience that you get because honestly the amount of things to do there are little to non.
An interesting aquarium showing what's in the water, off the Cumbrian coast.
Excellent service. Staff are knowledgeable and extremely helpful in the furniture department. Need plenty of time to shop as so many interesting products on sale.
Nice little place, you can easily spend a couple of hours here
Went here on a university field trip to see the rays skats and sharks, the staff were incredibly helpful and super friendly, being able to pet the rays was amazing, there are alot of different marine creatures so definitely lots to see!
Fantastic for the kids great price and lovely friendly staff shop is also good size
I recommend it, pleasantly surprised. Perspmel very helpful.
We took our grandchildren and they enjoyed it all - the aquarium, the ice cream, the golf and the park! A great day had by us all.
A great place to visit with really helpful and knowledgeable staff. The cafe is really nice too.
Amazing as always. Big variety of fish and sea creatures with fascinating talks. Cafe food is delicious and a great price and there's plenty of gifts and toys too!
It's a really nice aquarium, although a bit messy. There's lots of displays and information all over the place. Kids activities are included. Some tanks allow you to touch the ray fish and some rock pool species. The gift shop is far too expensive however
Excellent few hours spent in this fascinating place. Ben (who was a volunteer) was very friendly and informative - highly recommend!
Great benefit to the town. Lots of variety and nice to see the various breeding tanks up close as well.
Nice to visit with the kids, small but interesting. Nice cafe with friendly staff, gift shop and crazy golf. Too small for a full day out but there are other places to visit nearby xXx xXx
A rare hen if a find this place. The food was really great and good price too. Make your way here for definite. You'll really enjoy it.
Absolutely amazing value for money, went here on the off chance, would go again!
Enjiyed it but was quite small didnt take asling as exoected to get around. Giid facilities
Fantastic for the kids great price and lovely friendly staff shop is also good size
Very interesting experience cost a tenner each for us all
Definately the best aquarium I've visited and I've seen a few. The new Lab is amazing a must visit.
We used to visit here a lot but in the 10+ years since I last came, there has been a new room added, but it still holds all of it's charm. I like the fact that they keep only local species here, and the kids particularly enjoyed the crashing wave and the ray pool, where you can stroke the rays (if you're brave enough)! The cafe food is very nice and fresh, although not the cheapest and the shop is well stocked. I am very pleased it has continued to thrive and look forward to returning.
Nice place for a day out and about, lively cafe as well
Brilliant place. Well priced unlike moss sea life centres. Lots to see .
Great day out for the grandchildren again. Shark feedings always a hit and the Wildlife Trust visitor was extremely well informed and interesting. We learned a lot about the history and geology of Cumbria. The children were completely engaged and absorbed. Cafe pizza went down a treat. Love this aquarium
We loved it and I think it might even become my favourite hang out. Great staff and lovely food too!
Had a fantastic time with our nieces and nephew, aged 10, 7 and 2. Good value for money. Staff really friendly and helpful.
Really educational if u get involved in the activities there
Interesting attraction, good for kids. Worth a visit. Cafe has friendly staff and good food selection.
Great place for the kids and the adults. Pleasant staff, nice little cafe and gift shop too. My granddaughter loves visiting the fish.
very pleasant staff , food excellent , aquarium well worth visit
Quite pricey more suited to older children, I took my grandson (15mnths) guided tours or staff around to make it more interesting would be a huge plus
Great Coffee, nice cake, oh & by the way the aquatic life is spot on.
Ps i have just taken out another family pass for the next 12 months(5 years on the bounce) great valuefor Money.
Pleasant staff, very interesting place although could do with a little TLC in parts. Excellent food and good sized portions.
Love it! Two feeling pools with a nursery too. O ly downside was the state of the toilets.
Terrific for a morning out with the children, we go every 4 weeks to see what has changed and how things have developed. The year long pass is great value.
Nice friendly, helpful staff but place a little rundown and could do with a bit down of a spruce up.
I thought it was delightful and so unexpected.andit had a lovely cafe next door.
Abit small easily walk through in 10 minutes easily accessible great for kids but just not enough there
Social distancing impossible with 1 door for entrance and exit.
Old man at thee door is rude and abonxious.
Our rain cover for pushchair had broken and he wouldn't let a baby wait in the door to keep dry.
Quite a good small aquarium probably more suited to smaller children but very educational for all. It's not a Sea World but it gives you a great insight into fish that live in the sea around the UK. A very good shop on the way out and cafe looked good also.
