Went here on a university field trip to see the rays skats and sharks, the staff were incredibly helpful and super friendly, being able to pet the rays was amazing, there are alot of different marine creatures so definitely lots to see!

It's a really nice aquarium, although a bit messy. There's lots of displays and information all over the place. Kids activities are included. Some tanks allow you to touch the ray fish and some rock pool species. The gift shop is far too expensive however

Nice to visit with the kids, small but interesting. Nice cafe with friendly staff, gift shop and crazy golf. Too small for a full day out but there are other places to visit nearby xXx xXx

We used to visit here a lot but in the 10+ years since I last came, there has been a new room added, but it still holds all of it's charm. I like the fact that they keep only local species here, and the kids particularly enjoyed the crashing wave and the ray pool, where you can stroke the rays (if you're brave enough)! The cafe food is very nice and fresh, although not the cheapest and the shop is well stocked. I am very pleased it has continued to thrive and look forward to returning.

Great day out for the grandchildren again. Shark feedings always a hit and the Wildlife Trust visitor was extremely well informed and interesting. We learned a lot about the history and geology of Cumbria. The children were completely engaged and absorbed. Cafe pizza went down a treat. Love this aquarium

Social distancing impossible with 1 door for entrance and exit.
Old man at thee door is rude and abonxious.
Our rain cover for pushchair had broken and he wouldn't let a baby wait in the door to keep dry.

Quite a good small aquarium probably more suited to smaller children but very educational for all. It's not a Sea World but it gives you a great insight into fish that live in the sea around the UK. A very good shop on the way out and cafe looked good also.
