The service was fantastic, but disappointed in the flavors of most of the courses. We opted for the Chef's menu, each course had extremely small portions, the flavors were very good, but certainly not over the top which is what I was expecting. The women left feeling satisfied, not full, but we had to stop for the men to get sandwiches on the way home. I don't mind the expense, (the old Le Bec Fin was fantastic and I expected this to be on the same level, but there is really no comparison). but I do mind when the food does not match the price. Won't be back!

The restaurant is looking good and really special. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a host. and you're seated briefly. The staff were all friendly and nothing but nice. Food and wine is the real deal here. Thus the price.

Honestly just waiting for this restaurant to close and start over. I attended their brunch in the spring and still have not shaken off my experience. While the food presentation is unlike anything in the city, I cannot support a business that treats their own employees in such a belittling manner. I was apart of a bigger group that rented out one of the private spaces and the room was not ready when we arrived. Which was not the problem. It was clear that the front of house staff was doing the best they could. Until one of the managers got involved. It was painful to watch the staff's efforts and concerns for our party to not only be dismissed by their superior but also done in such an aggressive manner. I do not think he saw us watching his conversation with a woman who worked there but as soon as he was finished he approached us trying to take the credit of trying their very best. I have been to a ton of restaurants and a common theme of a successful one is how the staff is treated.

A truly special place with fabulous service and great views or Rittenhouse Square. The menu changes so frequently it is hard to make a recommendation. Go with the tasting menu....and enjoy. Top 3 restaurants in Philadelphia.

By far, one of the very best breakfasts, a perfect experience in every aspect. The food was just amazing, from simple little things like croissants and artisanals butter, to the fantastic Lobster and Caviar to the hearty Benedict with Country Ham to the freshest Melon and Berry plate. That, to be honest, did not come to us as surprise, for both the executive chef Cichon to the Chef de Cuisine Eric Leveillee are among the most talented best chef in the North-East, proudly carrying on the glorious culinary tradition of Chef Jean-Marie Lacroix, the father-founder of the fine dining in Philly.
The service is impeccable, the dining area is airy and spacious offering the magnificently calming views of the Rittenhouse Square, all of the above are the key secrets to make Lacroix's patrons highly content.
We would recommend to opt for the a la carte menu, not that the restaurant's breakfast buffet is in any way inferior, but the former will allow you to order a highly prized Lobster and Caviar dish.
Very affordable prices for an institution of that caliber and rank.
We can't wait to sample Lacroix's Chef's Tasting Menu; hopefully very soon.
2 weeks later: totally amazing Chef Eric's Tasting Menu! 10 stars out of 5.

Best meal I've had in Philadelphia. I've been there a number of times but today's meal was off the charts. I've eaten in many 4 star places but our waiter this evening was the best I've ever had. He caught every nuance of the dishes and really seemed to enjoy his role like a true enthusiast. Not inexpensive but worth it.

Wish there was a way to give them a 4.5. Dinner was fantastic and the level of service was superb. Brunch / lunch was good but not to the level of dinner both in terms of food quality and service.

Incredible lunch. I had grilled ceaser, halibut and a petite carrot cake. All fantastic, but the halibut stole the show! I will also note the amazing service and the perfectly timed delivery of each course. Don't pass up an opportunity to go here!

First of all, the absolute best Sunday brunch in Philadelphia. For dinner, they would be a 3 star Michelin restaurant if Philly were Michelin rated. The service is phenomenal, and the creativity and execution of the dishes is impressive. The price point matches the type of cuisine served i.e. caviar, truffles, A5 beef etc. I have been coming for years and never leave disappointed.

The buffet is scrumptious, especially the rib tips. OMG!!! they were so tender as was the salmon. I'm too stuffed for the dessert bar. And I can't forget the Lemongrass the bartender served, you have to try it!!!

If you're going to splurge, this is the place to do it. One of my favorite restaurants in the city. The service is absolutely phenomenal along with a nice view of rittenhouse park.

Lacroix is quiet and elegant and makes for the perfect place if you're celebrating a special day or holiday.

I had the chef's tasting menu and loved all the plates. For once I left a fine dining restaurant... FULL and anticipating my next visit.

Can't believe I've never heard about Lacroix. This is definitely an experience in and of itself. Its not an everyday kind of place but is absolutely worth trying if you're into gastronomy and finer dining. They blended these two very well.

My up front warning is that it can be very pricey and has a relatively fixed menu (prix fixe). The menu does rotate but offers little in the way of flexibility. Personally, I really liked this because they were able to get into the details of the food much more than a broader menu would. (I also expected this going into it).

High end Caviar menu for those who partake. They also had some a la carte small bites featuring domestic caviar and oysters. The prix fixe had two places to choose between two options but I suspect this changes with the menu. The wine menu was extensive and the sommelier was excellent. (Down side is if getting a bottle it may not pair well with entire menu experience - adding the wine pairing may be a better option given the fixed menu. Will be doing this next time).

For a menu of entirely small plates you leave overly filled. The experience leaves you dizzy and slightly euphoric. They really put energy into the details. Even the service was just right - not too present but never lagging. They were all very well trained and in tune with each other.

I'll be honest that I absolutely hated one of the menu items. Yet, I still have Lacroix a 5/5 because the dish was done so well in every other way. Some would argue that's a flaw but I believe that without that sense of freedom and adventure experiences like this can't exist. (And the other ten dishes ranged from "very good" to "spectacular")

Misc: coat room, valet parking, and crayons for children (? Who would ever bring a child that age to a place like this).

The ultimate dining experience. Keep this place in mind if you're looking to impress a client or date. Very expensive but the food is top of the line as is the service. Located in a great neighborhood: Rittenhouse.

I've been to the Foutain for Brunch which set the bar to the top. Then I went to Lacroix and learned that the bar could be set even higher. From their amazing raw bar, to their awesome lay out in the kitchen, simply the best eating experience that I've had in this city. It truly defines what 5 stars means.

By far the very B E S T. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Lacroix for brunch today, we had been hearing so much about it we just had to try it for ourselves. Well for starters when you arrive at the Rittenhouse Hotel we were greeted by the most pleasant valet attendants and doormen. Once we exited elevator on the second floor we were warmly greeted by the most pleasant host staff and at that point we checked our coats.

We were lead by our hostess to a stunning window seat that overlooked Rittenhouse Square Park. From there our waiter introduced himself, and then the wonderment begins. We were then taken on a tour, yes a tour of the restaurant, totally unexpected. We were escorted around to the various food stations, from fresh sushi and caviar to fresh greens an traditional breakfast items such as potatoes, eggs, bacon and sausage.
The tour went on to the back end of the house where you get to see where the magic happens. The various food stations and chefs preparing what you are about to indulge in.

I am a visual person, and being invited to take a tour of the back end of the restaurant for me was such a big plus, to simply be able to see where and how our food was prepared was such a treat.

Now on to the eats...lol ! let me tell you if you simply want eggs and potatoes, great Lacroix has got you covered but you would be doing your taste buds, food palette and imagination and injustice. Dining at Lacroix is a culinary adventure that everyone deserves to experience at least once in their lifetime. The flavors, options, ideas and flawless executions of all of the dishes, no masterpieces that Lacroix offers are out of this world. Annnnnnnnd you better check out that dessert room......... A M A Z I N G. Something to satisfy every sweet tooth.

The wait staff is so pleasant and attentive to say the least, you guys R O C K ! When you get up to indulge in the splendor you return to your napkin folded and your glasses topped off, every time.

I am a person who values good service and this was not it, this was G R E A T service. I you are in the Philadelphia area , treat yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Thank you Lacroix, see you soon !
