Really nice afternoon tea, nice hotel in a quiet area, lovely, cheerful, friendly staff. Only reason I've dropped a star is because I had been given a voucher for my birthday for an Alice in Wonderland tea as that was my favourite childhood story and the menu had been changed so I was a little disappointed. The changed menu was very nice though so it was well worth the visit.

Room was very well presented, nice a clean. Breakfast was delightful. Very scenic location in easy walking distance from the city centre. Only down side was the mattress, it was very hard with obvious dips from lots of bodies laying in the same place. This would be fine if you don't move during your sleep. For someone like myself that likes to fidget it made for an uncomfortable night.

Room was clean And Comfy. Staff were excellent absoloutely cannot fault them at all. They did the best they could with current circumstances.
Bar was a lovely place to sit for a drink. Will be coming back to try the cocktails!
Make sure you get the right car park My Husband insists he was told it was ncp lace market car park but it's not the ncp one that comes up when you type ncp lace market in your sat nav so that was an expensive mistake lol
All in all great experience and will definitely be coming back xxx

It's in a very convenient location, the staff are efficient and charming (and have a great sense of humour! Thanks Sarah for my #LizardsInHats doodle!) - nothing was too much trouble. The food is splendid, by the way - I was pleasantly surprised by the white onion and parmesan soup, having gone in a bit "meh", I have been converted; it's a taste sensation and worth a try if they still have it on the board.

Beautiful hotel! We came Christmas Day and were struggling to find something to eat (don t bother; absolutely nowhere on the island serves food without a prior reservation) and the woman on the desk was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating really went above a beyond for us. We ll definitely come back if we re in the area.

I had the king room it was nice. Only problems were no smart TV, the WiFi was unbelievabley slow. There was heat coming from behind the bathroom mirror and talking about heat I don't know if there was heating on but it was way too hot and couldn't open the bathroom windows to create a cross breeze.

Food beyond phenomenal, I was totally gobsmacked when I saw the plates infront of me, had to double take on the prices to see if it was real. Easily 4 Rosette's, this could easily get a Michellin star. I would recommend the tasting menu. I would put pictures up but I'd rather it be a surprise for anyone who goes.

The location is close to the centre. The rooms are spacious and air-conditioned and quiet as well. The bathroom was very clean and spacious (One could give 5 star for this reason). The cold breakfast spread was not great but they offer hot breakfast which was very good. Very friendly staff.

Stayed here for work recently. The room was meh, disappointing for a 4-star for sure. Window jammed open with a piece of wood and couldn't be closed. Mattress was definitely on the soft side for me, but I guess that's a subjective thing. More

Nice hotel in a great location in Nottingham s Lace Market. We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite which was exceptional in fit and finish. Breakfast was the only minor negative - the cooked ingredients didn t seem the highest quality and the continental selection was quite limited. I would definitely return whenever in Nottingham, however.

A great quirky hotel only five minutes walk from the Market Place, in a quiet and trendy area of Nottingham. First rate staff and was lucky enough to have a room facing the very beautiful St. Mary's Church. The beds and pillows are very firm, fine if that is what you are used to. Pretty good value for a hotel in this location. Well worth staying.

No car park, city centre location, no car parks in the area.

But it is in a nice area of town. They have a meeting room on the first floor, it has a view of the Galleries of Justice. The other side looks out over St Marys in Nottingham.

The downstairs bar is either slightly dated in decor or is aiming for a certain look. But they do, do nice nibbles, for after a meeting.

I stayed here soon after it first opened. One of the first wave of boutique hotels, it has worn well and had good refurbishments. There is a kind of pub built in. No nonsense and pleasant food.

Ive been staying in The Lace Market Hotel, for over a month, and i cant praise it enough, always made to feel welcome by the friendly staff . Set in the centre of Nottingham, with astounding views 5-6 minutes walk from the train station, simular walk to the centre of town. Trams only a short distance 3-4 minutes walk . This hotel is fantastic with beautiful features and fittings of yesteryear, with the touch of the present. Luxury beds , exquisite art adorning the walls. Everything about this hotel shows class, from the bedroom layouts down to the bar. Its truly worth the visit. Clean spacious rooms not seen in typical hotels, its got that personal touch to each area. The staff are brilliant , the hotel is exceptionally clean . The food is amazing, cooked fresh, and to your liking.

Absolutely love this hotel, stayed in a suite room through a complimentary upgrade and stay in one everytime we stay here now. Best hotel in Nottingham and only place we stay. Great location beautiful part of city centre with all the best eateries and bars in close proximity. Can't wait to have another reason to stay over in Nottingham so we can book to stay here again. Breakfast also very good

Review for restaurant: very quiet on a recent Saturday night but not sure if this is normal. Good service. Food is good quality, seasonal and tasty, nicely presented. However not an unusual or adventurous menu and certainly not cheap. House wines were very nice.

Lovely hotel with great staff, in a super spot.

Easy to get anywhere in Nottingham from here, it's a far better bet than the usual suspect big chain ln hotels in the city.

Recommended.

I stayed at the Lacemarket Hotel for a few days during a short trip to Nottingham, and also dined in the restaurant. The room was extremely nice, with a very comfy bed and the breakfast options each morning were lovely - especially the chef's granola with dried apricots and pecan nuts, etc. This is a convenient hotel for visiting several city centre attractions, such as the Castle and also the Nottingham Contemporary art gallery. I recommend it!

Beautiful hotel, very rickity lift which you have to go up stairs to get to (I found that quite amusing)
Well stocked mini bar, clean room, cumfy bed, lovely big bathroom. The breakfast was well cooked and the man made great drinks.

Everything was good, but the bad was too short and horribly soft. Also the blanket had a hole and the pillow was to full / hard.

Frankly said without beer I wasn't able to sleep. Everything else was better then expected, but I booked the hotel to sleep

Complete waste of money. Tiny portions, not even enough for a child, and half of the tiny piece of lamb was fat. When a member of our party complained they offered her a compimentary cocktail and then came back and said they could only offer a glass of wine because we had bought the meal on Travel Zoo.

Second time staying here, much worse than the first.
My towels were dirty with someone else s hair on them. The font goes so deeply into the sink you can barely get your hands under it. And the room (#38) reeks of sewage, which they try to cover up by opening the window and keeping the fan on.
I doubt I ll be back.
