Nice hotel. Comfy beds, great veiw from room and staff were very polite. We did visit the pub next door (the cock and hoop) but weren't too impressed only because they didn't have much in stock. Everything we ordered they had run out of. Would stay again at the lace market hotel.

This place is amazing we love it. Stayed here 3 years now for out anniversary first year in the superior suite and next 2 years the luxury studio suite.

The rooms are always clean they are every large and spacious decorated nicely the shower and tub bath are are lovely and the breakfast was amazing with gluten free options available!

The staff are always lovely upon arrival and are happy to answer any questions

Every close to the Nottingham centre which is every convenient! And closer to shops and nice restaurants

Looking forward to staying again some time soon definitely going to recommend!

Average hotel. Seems to try hard but is a tired hotel, and the attention to detail isn't there. For example it's surface clean but not deep cleaned... (It's not dirty, but it's not clean either)...
Overall the food is ok, breakfast is average too eggs Benedict the egg yolk was not runny, so a a massive fail...
Rooms are ok, but again need attention to detail.
The owners need to think about the guest experience, for example the basin tap in the room I stayed is almost touching the basin, not practical, but yet the basin in the toilet has been done like that.
It all adds to the inconveniences of the guest, like the broken iron in my room, which leaked water all over my fresh shirt, again more inconveniences...
Just little things that all add up.
Including no complimentary bottled water in the room, I didn't know if the water bottles by my bedside were free or not, and in the night I didn't want to risk being charged a ridiculous amount at check out so I didn't touch them...
This place has the opportunity to be excellent with a few tweaks.
Not a bad stay, beds were comfortable.
Not sound proofed rooms though.

Went for afternoon tea advertised as a treat for daughters birthday. The afternoon tea was advertised as Alice in Wonderland themed, but no effort was made at all. Sandwiches was terrible and cakes seemed like they had just been defrosted.

Had a really nice stay here on a business trip. Rooms were a good size with Comfy beds, large bathroom and a big tv with free view channels on as well! The mini bar was also well stocked. I also had dinner and breakfast here and there was a wide variety of food options available with decent sized portions at reasonable prices. I especially enjoyed my breakfast of pancakes and bacon with syrup. Overall I had a great stay and will definitely stay again the next time I'm in Nottingham

Nice hotel but small rooms and too many odour sticks that get quite sickly. Shower pressure and mattress good (very firm if that's how you like your mattress). Electric sockets oddly placed. Very clean and higher end for Notts.

Stayed for one night bed and breakfast between Christmas and New Year, with our dog on her first ever hotel stay. Although the website doesn't state that the hotel is dog friendly, they definitely are (just let them know before booking). We were a little concerned about how dog friendly they would actually be, but we didn't need to worry as they were great with her.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We stayed in a double room on the top floor. The room was nicely decorated, very clean with a comfy bed. It was quite hot but we were able to turn down the radiator and open the window. Shower was great, good temperature and water pressure. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice, excellent hollandaise and good quality ham on the Eggs Benedict.

To make this a five star review, there are a few things that would benefit from improvement...
1. The water level in the toilet was too low, resulting in an awful smell emanating from it - we had to pour glasses of water into the bowl to top up the level.
2. You can't fill the kettle in the room because the tap is fitted too low down in the sink. In fact, the tap is so low it was difficult to use the sink for anything other than brushing teeth.
3. The quality of the filter coffee served at breakfast could be better. Everything else we had at breakfast was delicious and of really great quality, the coffee was average.

If these things could be improved, our enjoyable stay this time would become a fantastic stay next time!

Our stay at the hotel was delightful the beds are so so comfy and the hotel were warm and friendly. The hotel is located in such a great spot if you want to take in the sights in the centre.

The deco in the hotel is so lovely and really stylish. I felt really safe and comfortable in my room and the continental breakfast I would recccomend to anyone staying there.

The hotel will discount your parking but not completely validate it, but that's still pretty good considering the location. Will be visiting again soon as I fell in love with comfy bed

This is my Home away from Home. Every now and again I book myself into the Superior suite. It's luxurious. I especially love the free standing bath. I fill it up with the quality products provided and climb in... Heaven. The suite is MASSIVE. Full of character. Massive windows with heavy curtains. Suite is ornate and exquisite. Book Superior suite. More money but worth it. The bar is excellent. Very pleasing to the eye. The Reception staff and rest of the Hotel staff are beyond exceptional. Room service for breakfast is a must if you go!! I eat at the Cock and Hoop pub attached to the hotel. Food is good and service. The price is very reasonable!!! I'm looking forward to my third stop this year....
A bettet hotel in Nottingham, you will never find. I live in Nottingham.
Decor is something to behold....

This hotel was disappointing. The reception staff at check in were friendly and helpful. The reception staff at checkout were OK, not unfriendly but didn't ask how my stay was or anything else. The look of the hotel itself was nice but the room was not good. I stayed in a single room and it felt like it was squeezed in when they realised there was enough room to fit one more bed in. The website suggests the room has a 32 inch or 40 inch TV but the one in my room looked smaller than that, even when compared to the cramped room. The Air conditioning unit that was mounted next to it (halfway up the wall, not near the ceiling) was huge.

I cant comment on the bar downstairs as this was booked out to a private event (no prior warning about this), my room was at the other end of the hotel so there was no disturbance.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The shower was good, the tap for the sink was a bit too close to basin so was a bit awkward but otherwise was OK.

If you are looking for a good cooked breakfast, do not eat at this hotel. Everything was fine having stayed at the hotel until the following morning. The cooked breakfast was poor. Asked for well done bacon and it was not. The poached eggs were luke warm, along with the beans and the 1 slice of bacon and 1 sausage were nothing more than average. Difficult skin on the sausage. Breakfast staff were not attentive to refilling coffee cups, taking orders for breakfasts and clearing away used pots. Would have expected better for the price that I was paying for my room including breakfast.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. However it was the hardest and biggest pillow I've ever slept on. My neck and back were quite sore the next day. There was also a bit of trouble with the shower water pressure and temperature. Both kept changing making it scary and frustrating.

Back when Hart's Hotel opened, I worked there, we were very confident that we were better than the Lacemarket. That was years ago, but we were wrong then and wrong now. It's lovely and easily the nicest place I've stayed in Nottingham. It lacks a really good restaurant with it, but the room was fabulous and twice the size of any other city hotel rooms, and breakfast was excellent start to finish. Also the bathroom was tremendous. I don't think much of their attached 'pub' The Cock and Hoop's food but the beer was good and it has a nice kind of Olde Trip feel to it.

In short, nice big room, huge windows, perfectly located, good value for Nottingham, tremendous bathroom.

This is a lovely hotel with a nice restaurant attached. It is well decorated and spacious. However, there was no air conditioning and I was quite hot the entire night. You are also unable to open the windows, so you are left with a desk fan for relief. Perhaps consider staying during cooler months. The summer can be brutal.

Great little boutique hotel, excellent location and fantastic ambience..... dramatically let down by breakfast

Would have rated this a 5* trip on the hotel itself, but the breakfast was a disaster.. Had to wait 20 mins for a cup of tea! After 45 minutes the 'full english' turned up - 1 hard egg, a small spoonful of lukewarm beans, a anemic cheap poor sausage and a tomato that must have only just seen the grill from a distance! On the plus side, the 1 hash brown and 1 piece of bacon were really good.... Im sure this must have been a difficult serving as its hard to imagine anyone getting this service/food could have been happy - but come on LMH this is not good enough for the price
