Really bad experience. We have a brand new system that fails to ignite when it's below 10 degrees We called Laars, they were extremely rude, and condescending.
Really unprofessional and uncalled for experience.

I haven t had such an awful experience with a company before but after installing a new heating system with this company we began noticing the it would shut off every month. At first I didn t pay much mind but then it started shutting off 2x a month then 3x leaving us without heat and hot water once again. But the worst part was actually trying to reach out to the company. First of all was greeted by the RUDEST receptionist ever. She had so much attitude and when we asked if someone could come over and take a look at it she seemed to spit animosity and kept throwing a phone number at me as if I was a complete idiot. The phone number would never even get through and I was already peeved about not being able to shower in my house. I asked to speak to her supervisor and at first everything was dandy he promised to call back with a solution to our problem in 1- max 2hrs and guess what... it s been 4 DAYS since and no call. NADA. OR voice mail. It makes my blood boil not that just the hot water and heat is gone BUT to have such awful service. It s terrible because this could be a really good company- but the people in the front lines seriously don t reflect that. If you re into terrible customer service, spending hundreds of dollars and no heat or hot water this is the company for you.
I had the pleasure of working for Laars for six years. They are dedicated to putting out a high quality product and they have an amazing customer service department!!!
Purchased a Laars Mascot FT boiler a couple months ago and every time I called customer service and engineering, they answered with a few rings and helped us big time...not to mention, there was a miscommunication about the rebate, and Laars worked with the Eco-Rebates Group, to make up the difference! We ended up paying $0 for the boiler...very professional and a local company as well. Your calls are not transferred to a third party, everyone is in NH. Not sure why there are negative reviews here (everyone is entitled to their opinion), but our experience so far has been outstanding. Would definitely recommend the product, support and value, thanks again!!
Installed a brand new top of the line natural gas boiler less than 3 years ago and it has been a nightmare ever since. Last year we went without heat in the dead of winter for over 2 months while waiting for Lars to rectify an issue. One month ago wake up to no hot water and the boiler is SPEWING water everywhere. Bad gaskets lead to bad electronics lead to etc etc. getting parts takes forever. The boiler is still out of commission and our HVAC company can t even get ahold of anyone from LARS in a time of need. Terrible service for a terrible product.
Just had a Laars MFTCW199 combi-boiler installed. Runs quiet, complete space saver from the old unit and considerably more efficient than the old boiler.
