Excellent wine estate, lunch in the restaurant highly recommended. Just note when they are open as we pitched up 2 days prior and they were closed

Vineyard Restaurant
Brilliant food in a peaceful rural location - I would highly recommend to those who want a nice quiet lunch in the countryside. The vineyard is also very beautiful and serves as an excellent backdrop to the already great dining experience.
The staff are also very friendly, and do a very good job. Keep up the good work!
Lovely location, food and amazing service. Thank you
Great high tea at La Mare Wine Estate. Definitely worth the trip if you visiting Jersey or even if you a local.
the tasting tour was superb, guide very informative - a lovely way to spend half a day
Such a lovely, informative visit. Sat outside in the sun for quite a while.
Arrived as part of a tour group and we were given a clear and concise guide to the history of the vineyard and the production of wine. Very friendly staff and nice tea room at the end.
Well worth a visit! Enjoyed the tour (quite personal as we were the only ones on it!) and definitely worth doing it to get a taste of the wine, cider and brandy! Note you can get the number 7 bus as well as the 28 here!
Beautiful setting, with delicious food and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Loved it!
Great tour with tasting of various self-made products. Only the cider was not edible. But that's also a matter of taste.
Beautiful estate. Tasting of a number of wines and treats. The famous Black Butter is made here and various liqueurs.
Great wine tour. Loved the tasting. Tour guide was funny and informative and made our younger companion happy with apple juice as we tasted the wine and cider. Jersey Cream in chocolate cup was .
What a fantastic place well laid out and the people are superb
Arrived at 10:46 for the 10:45 tour and was told we were way too late and we couldn't join the tour. The lady had zero customer service we were told the play area wasn't for our use of we were to wait. We had got a cab to be there so had no way to leave other than walk or call another cab back. We walked to Devils Hole which was much better and had a lovely pub next door. Wouldn't recommend for family despite the leaflets.
Really interesting. Lovely friendly and informative guide
Extremely interesting visit . Would definitely recommend.
Arrived towards the end of the day and we're told the tour s had finished but the bar was still open. Ordered a round of drinks (and were even invited to buy a bottle to drink. After only been settled for 5 mins we were told I no uncertain terms that we had to be off the estate in 3 mins .wish we were told this before we ordered drinks. Was a shame and the wine was really quite poor anyway
Awesome. Great food, great setting. Coming back to try the chateaubriand.
Nice tour with good info that was easy to understand. Wine was pleasant.
I had a very lovely afternoon with a wine and chocolate, the some time very interesting and funny with a friendly tour guide ,i would do it again
Good tour but pricey wine and no samples of the apple brandy...
Try the wine first
Not all to my palette
Very nice little vineyard, the wine tour is not the longest or most in-depth but works well, and ends with tastings on the various products the vineyard produces. The on-site restaurant is also cozy and if the weather permits you can sit outside at the grapevines and eat the food.
Really enjoyed this little winery and distillery. The visit and tour guides you through the history of the farm and how they make the varieties of wine, they also take you through the cider making process and then finally on to the distillery where they show how they make brandy from cider. This is followed by a trading session when you try each of the wines. Obviously there's a shop what you can buy all of three produce
The visit can be completed with a walk round the vines and orchard before relaxing in the cafe with a tea
Fab trip round the vineyards, would highly recommend
Great place to visit. Interesting tour and excellent wine tasting session. Nice little cafe and menu.
Amazing, very interesting, definitely worth visiting.
Lovely! Beautiful gardens. Unfortunately, we hadn't booked a table, so there was no space for us to sit inside for a meal. It was a bit too chilly to sit outside. Would definitely go again though!
Good informative tour with plenty of tastings and an opportunity to buy the estate's wines, cider, brandy, gin, chocolate and fudge, and Jersey black butter.
Posh grub and tasting tour. Pre book for best welcome. Busy and good value
Make sure you visit this place.Wonderful, informative tour by our knowledgeable, friendly tour guide. The tour lasts for about an hour and we found out some fascinating facts about Jersey and the wine production here. They also make brandy, gin, chocolate and black butter here amongst a few other things. Good facilities, wonderful food and lots of samples to eat and drink. Well worth the modest price to do the tour. Excellent couple of hours!
Nice place for a lunch. The stuff in the shop is really expensive.
Looks lovely - our timings made it unable to go on the tour - no good if you're disabled. Check the tour timings before you go.
Nice tour in an attractive location. Wine tasting & information from your guide added to the experience. Chocolate tasting was an optional extra but only on a Wednesday. Very informative. Worth a visit. Afterwards we walked to the Prince of Wales in the scenic bay of Greve De Lecq for a cheeky beer while watching tennis.
It is definitely a place to visit... they also have a lovely coffee shop and little shop where you can buy all local products
I visited as a work social event, wine tasting, the tour was very informative and interesting. The surroundings are beautiful, as are some of the wines and brandy.
Ok tour , Have been on better with more information and to be fair they did ask is there any questions .No wines were to our liking but that is a personal thing .For me there was more of a you're here to buy our products than details.
It is one of the few atraction in Jersey, which must to be seen. You don't have to like they wines. Maritime climate doesn't help with production of this drink, but you can try a gin, an apple brandy, a cider, a vodka or an apple brandy liqueur. Chocolates and preserves are produced here too, especially a legendary Jersey black butter. Staff here it's a very friendly and helpful. You can order food and drink and sit outside on the bench and listen a sound of nature with a beautiful view of the vineyard.
A great tour with an even better guide. Would ve been great to hear more about the gin though. The blush is lush!!
Pleasant visit to the cellars, chocolate workshop then tasting before going through the shop. Gardens and vineyards resting for tea time just before going to the devils hole, 700 m away.
Good tour, well presented, wine not to our taste but everyone is different. Worth a visit
Charming place outside the hustle and bustle of the city.
We unfortunately did not have time to taste the pastries that looked succulent, (pity) because we took the tour.
The guide was nice but we have unfortunately not understood because the visit is mainly in English and our level of understanding is very low ....
Too bad because the people attending the visit seemed very interested in telling them and laughed a lot.
We still tasted their wines at the end of the visit, uhhh our wines have nothing to envy them ...
Turned up to Jersey for the day without too much in mind of what we wanted to do. Found this winery on the back of the map and after a quick visit to the tourist office found out that there was a bus dropped us at the door (via the war rooms as it happened, which we also went to).
We arrived and booked in for the next tour. Wandered around the winery and orchard and then Julie our tour guide arrived. Julie was fantastic, she was such an engaging speaker. We learnt about the varieties of grapes and the process before some very generous wine tastings. We also tried some of the preserves they make which were delicious.
We then enjoyed lunch at the winery before heading back into town. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!
Well worth a visit when in Jersey. Interesting to see how they use the grapes and apples. The tasting was also good.
Worth a visit to the only vineyard on Jersey. The tour is an ideal length of time and is informative without losing its audience on the finer points of wine and cider production. It also has a speciality chocolate production kitchen as well. The tour culminates with both a wine and chocolate tasting, after which you have the option to purchase any the products.
We were rather disappointed with our visit. To learn anything about the place you have to go on an organised and rather expensive tour. They only leave periodically so there would have been quite a wait.
The cafe is rather expensive, the staff lack engagement with the customers and the food was just OK, so overall not good value for money.
Friendly welcome and great food. Sat outside the cafe overlooking the vines for lunch and a few glasses of the wines. Visited the shop to pick up some local produce too.
Unfortunately due to.a wedding taking place we couldn't visit...which was understandable...I do think that a sign on the road would have been helpful and then we would have gone in. The woman in the shop was extremely rude and there was no need for her attitude. Completely put me off going to visit again sorry!
Lovely place. Very interesting with informative well mannered staff. Good produce.l
Only went to the shop. But what I could see of the estate was lovely.
Where to start....
I ve been brought up in the catering and events world, including weddings so this was always going to be a tricky task. I m a huge perfectionist and the biggest hospitality critique.
Not living on the island and having not ever eaten at La Mare you could say this was one of my biggest worries!
From the moment I met Bianca this worry was lifted. Bianca is dedicated to great service, honest and humble, flexible, hard working and ALWAYS goes the extra mile for you, even on her very little time off.
We asked for some tricky dishes and between Bianca, the team and the Chef it was a huge success. We had the best day and couldn t fault them in any way, they even ensured we have 25 degree heat on the day!
La Mare without Bianca you would not have the successful venue you have. Customers, trust Bianca when she gives her advise, she knows her venue better than us all.
Thanks again for the best day of our lives, you where all amazing!
George and Tanya
Well kept, staff were really friendly and the tour was great, loved the wine tasting and overall was worth the visit.
A lot of rip-off, unfriendly and intrusive service, but also a very nice park
Really enjoyed the tour full of great information regarding the process of wine making and the tour guide was very friendly
If you only visit one place on the island of Jersey make it La Mare Wine Estate. You arrive amongst fields of vines and orchards of apples. Parking is plentiful with beautiful hydrangeas all around. Our first co tact was with Steve who greated us and gave us a cider sample to start our journey. We had time to kill until the tour started and chose to walk the vineyards and orchards. After a cold drink in the cafe we met Steve who began our tour giving us some history of the estate. He then handed over to Graham who conducted the rest of the tour. You will see how they make all the alcohol products and the food products on the tour, it's incredibly interesting and finishes with a few samples to wet your appetite. The shop is well stocked with tasters so expect to part with some cash because everything is so tasty. The whole experience was fantastic and great value for money. Take time to enjoy the gardens and make sure you buy some salted caramel chocolates they are amazing. This eco friendly estate offers a lot for the money and a thoroughly great couple of hours.
Always visit La Mare when on Jersey, love the wine and staff are always happy to help.
Went on the tour and found it very interesting and Bob was fantastic i would recommend it to anyone well done bob
Wasn't great to be honest. Expected a lot more. Host wasn't particularly friendly, she seemed very impatient and frustrated when anyone asked a question, felt the whole tour was rushed, not enough tasting, we were advised there would be more of that and this was to be reflected in the ticket price...seems not. Rip off. Been to much much better, definitely not worth it!!!
It has horses home to it and an orchard vineyard gift shop restaurant view of Guernsey and other isles good quality food and pretty estate.
We visited the La Mere Wine Estate and Vineyards, one of Jersey s unique spaces. Greeted with a shot of the yard s locally made apple cider and a guided tour of the vineyard including the apple brandy and wine distilleries, we head to the tasting room where we watched a short movie while indulging in small tasting quantities of excellently made wine.
From the Saninte Marie white wine to the light pink Perquage rose to the Red Bailiwick 2011 and a small treat complimentary of the vineyard, a shot of Jersey double cream liqueur served in a chocolate cup. Yum!
Staff were friendly
Tour guide was great, very funny.
We loved it and if ever in Jersey, will go back
Wonderful tour would recommend tour very good tour guide Grayham very knowledgeable about his job. We had a great time
What a fantastic tour of the wine and distillery making absolutely brilliant chocolate tasting and wine well recommended
Great experience, very knowledgeable guide and good service from beginning to end
Great little tour and explanation of the wine, gin, vodka, brandy and rum making processes. Some tasting of the gin, brandy, wines and chocolate. Thank You Steve.
Unjustified prices, bad service, very disappointing.
