Well worth a visit very interesting and plenty to do besides
Did the bean to bar and the regular tour which includes wine tasting and Apple brandy tasting. Cafe was also good. Spent far too much in the shop.
Some nice wines that they keep on the island. Baught a few bottles and they make local Jersey Black Butter which is full of Christmas flavours too.
We went to avoid wedding here. Attractive venue close enough to StHelier to make for a quick trip over
Wine tasting and making chocolate .. Great experience
Even though 6 of us on the tour it was great.Very informative tour guide On wine and all products cider ,choc & black butter two
Well worth the money for a good 1hr& tasting too.Even the lady in the shop was very friendly & when we bought some toys she wished them good luck in their new home.Coffee good too
Lovely and peaceful. Informative tour. Friendly. Lovely wine. Food nice but could get a bit more and bread stale. Well worth a visit
... you will be complimented at the entrance, because you had a dog with you. Unfortunately we had to do this experience at almost all localities. So much for the topic: Jersey is very dog friendly!
Ok for a visit, tour and wine tasting, especially if you like dry wine. Recommend the cider cream liqueur and Black Butter chocolates.
A bottle of Apple Brandy Cream, and a bottle of Pink Gin, need I say more?
Very nice experience and a lot of information, the wine is not the best but the salted caramels definitely are
Walked round the shop and wine yard there is a cafe there did not go to estate house there was a gathering of Fiat 500 cars in the open field there are really small was nice to see.
My aim in here was to try the blackbutter at their cafe as it was recommended in the Jersey guide brochure. I arrived there before 10AM but they opened at 10:10am and I had to rush eating the scone. I did not even have time to finish my tea because I had to catch the 10:28 bus due to my tight schedule.
The guide was very informative and in a very understandable English. The stories that they have to chew have a good quality.
Attended a wedding here are the service was brilliant. Would definitely recommend
Boosted the profits in the shop after the tour, would have been rude not to !!!
I thought the days of reputable places having just one (uninspiring) vegetarian option had long gone.
Add to that we couldn t bring our small well behaved dog in to sit outside the cafe?!
Seemed to be just about getting you to pay to do the tour, if not bugger off.
Very nice local vineyard. Produces a variety of other high quality products, including very good chocolate from an on-site master chocolatier, fudge, and preserves such as the local Jersey Black Butter.
The tour is good and informative without being heavy. It includes a tasting of the three core wines (a red, white and rose), which are good quality. It also includes a sample of the cream liqueur, chocolate and fudge. A very reasonable price for the tour and samples included.
The cafe is also good, the afternoon tea was an enjoyable way to refuel (and let some of the alcohol out of the system).
Great value for money! Lot's of different samples to try:- red, rose, white wine, brandy, chocolate, fudge, black butter. Phew what an experience!
Lovely setting for a evening event or perhaps even an early breakfast in the sun!
Interesting place, good selection of food and drinks.
Real mix of people from the pretentious to the ganstas lol
The staff member we met in the cafe left a lot to be desired, however, the guy in the shop was very different. He was very friendly and helpful.
A beautiful, well-kept winery that is well worth seeing. It is run by the owners with a lot of passion and skill. Highly Recommended.
Great place to have lunch and visit as one of the only wine farms in Jersey
Plenty of space to walk and relax ideal for wedding ect
Very interesting place. Good your of vineyard and distillery. Plenty of wine tasting. Would definitely recommend.
Not the quickest for the afternoon tea but we weren't in a rush. Afternoon tea was nice and all the food that came out looked good. Quiet and tables available outside
Stunning place. Wonderful day had by all at a wedding. Highly reccomend
Worth a visit stingy with the wine tasting. They don't tell you that the black-butter is confiscated at the Airport if you only have hand luggage. They are aware of this so I regard this as very shoddy practice and reflects very poorly on the Island of Jersey.
Just brilliant, loved the chocolate making and barrel building A lovely place.
Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, great tour guide
A great venue for a wedding - excellent staff and service with beautiful surroundings of the vineyard.
Excellent place to visit. The tour is highly recommended and very informative. The new cafe/restaurant is first class and serves very good food. Not to be missed if you're visiting Jersey.
Very enjoyable tour and tasting, followed by lunch, which offered many delicious, interesting options. Lovely setting. Bus route 28 goes there from St. Helier.
Fantastic tour of a beautiful winery. You get to try the white, rose and red wines along with the creamy apple brandy. Just try and leave without s bottle of the cream apple brandy it's delicious! A must do when in Jersey.
Fabulous place, our tour guide was well informed and made the tour enjoying and fun. With a few wine tasting at the end it was a perfect finish. It's a must for all wine lovers
Beautiful grounds and lovely hens! Unfortunately, the service and food was poor. The waitress practically had a nervous breakdown taking our order and despite having emailed in advance about two vegan breakfasts, they just served us a veggie breakfast without eggs with no substitutes and had no idea about the information we had sent in advance. The portion size was very small, the tomatoes were not cooked and the beans were cold. Will not return for food.
Enjoyed the tour of the winery and the free samples of wine etc made there. Definitely worth visiting
Wonderul vineyard in stunning landscape. First class tour... wonderful products.
Really enjoyed the tour trying wines and chocolates. There is much to learn about but it is fun. The estate is beautiful and a joy to explore. A taste of Jersey for sure. Highly recommend the afternoon tea with Black Butter.
Very pleasant ! Too bad there are no explanations in French during the visit! Super tasting and very pleasant guides (reception, tour, store) well maintained and charming place
Beautiful place, staff really friendly, didn't do the wine tour, but had lunch there, and visited the shop, highly recommended
Great place and tour of distillery. And place to eat
Lovely staff, interesting tour! Really enjoyed visiting!
The welcome on arrival was good and a sample of their cider was provided. Cafe was lovely and clean with good coffee. Toilets use rainwater for flushing which is novel and green. The tour was enjoyable and the wine tasting was a good experience. The creamy liqueur in a chocolate cup provided at the end was a lovely treat. And yes the Black Butter does smell of Christmas.
Lovely tour round this Wine Estate. Wine and Gin tasting.
We have been here in previous years. The tour is interesting with plenty of sampling.
Nice shop
The wine and beer are excellent
Absolutely amazing! Such a beautiful location, gorgeous surroundings and incredibly knowledgeable staff. Definitely a must do when visiting Jersey. Gift shop is stocked with great souvenirs to being home too. P.s. the apple brandy cream is to die for
Highly recommend a glass of the La Mare Blush sitting in the shade of an umbrella and contemplating the vines. The tour is enjoyable and involves a square of chocolate.
A very interesting place to visit. Wine and Cider tasting. If you are in Jersey definitely visit.
Very pleasant visit to La Mare. Interesting history and good explanation from tour guide
My husband said he wanted to go back for the seafood bisque the minute we drove away. Sometimes I wish there were 6 stars and this place woukd get it. Cracking wine delicious food and lovely surroundings.

Located in St Mary, this estate offers an array of delicious local handmade produce that will tantalize your taste buds. From chocolates to biscuits, preserves to speciality Christmas treats, La Mare has it all.
But what makes La Mare so special? Let's dive deeper into the history and offerings of this unique wine estate.
History
La Mare Wine Estate was established in 1972 by John Falle who had a passion for winemaking. He started with just one acre of land and planted vines that he imported from France. Over time, he expanded his vineyard to over 25 acres and began producing award-winning wines.
Today, La Mare is still family-owned and operated by Tim Crowley who took over the business in 2003. Under his leadership, the estate has continued to thrive and expand its offerings beyond just wine.
Wine
Of course, wine is still at the heart of La Mare's business. The estate produces a variety of wines including reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines using traditional methods combined with modern technology.
Their signature wine is their Jersey Sparkling Rosé which has won numerous awards including Gold at the International Wine Challenge. It's made using Pinot Noir grapes grown on their own vineyard combined with Chardonnay grapes from Champagne.
In addition to their own wines, they also offer tastings of other local wines as well as those from around the world in their tasting room.
Food
But what sets La Mare apart from other wineries is their focus on food as well as wine. They have an onsite restaurant called The Vineyard Café which serves up delicious meals made using locally sourced ingredients including fresh seafood caught off Jersey's coast.
They also have a farm shop where you can purchase all sorts of goodies such as homemade jams and chutneys made using fruit grown on their own farm; artisanal cheeses; freshly baked bread; locally roasted coffee; handmade chocolates; and much more!
During the festive season (Christmas), they offer hampers filled with these delectable treats that make perfect gifts for friends or family members who appreciate quality food products.
