Had a lovely meal today. The food was fresh, well cooked & tasty without being exorbitantly priced. The starter & main meal (prawn cocktail & chicken breast) were very filling, so much so that I didn't have room for a dessert! The staff were pleasant but took a while to attend to the tables so maybe extra staff were needed hence only 4 stars.

1/2 day well spent in the north-west of jersey

1/2 day well spent in the north-west of jersey
very informative talks & tastings + more than a bit of history.
wine, gin, vodka, jersey 'black butter', chocolate + chutneys / sauces.
there's a shop at the end of your visit + cafe too.
restored jersey farmhouse (5 windows upstairs + 2 either side of the central front door) - nice gardens too; this place is well worth a visit (especially if you take the lanes rather than the main roads).

Tour, followed by wine and nibbles. A lovely location with very friendly staff. The wines are excellent and very reasonable prices, food is fresh with a good range.

A small walk about the vines was the perfect end to a long lunch.

Definitely worth the visit if you are on a short holiday to the island.

Beautiful wine estate with must try Jersey butter. We've visited early September and luckily had the weather on our side. The vineyard was well presented, great tour guide and not to forget the tasting. I didn't leave the shop without some of the Jersey butter and Jersey cream. Onsite restaraunt with cosy indoor seating and for those summers day then outdoor next to the vineyards with delicious food. The only downside was not visiting in the early part of year when the weather was better.

Amazing place, tours are really interestibg and the staff are great. Lovely food and great wine! The sandwiches are really great and huge. Love the use of local terms for the wine and the cider. Very informative. In the summer the bus transport is really great and easy.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would but I m afraid google doesn t give you that option. The customer service is by far the worst that I have ever experienced once products are purchased. Staff have been very rude and unhelpful. I am extremely disappointed and would never purchase anything from this company again

About La Mare Wine Estate

La Mare Wine Estate: A Haven for Wine Lovers and Foodies

If you're a wine lover or a foodie, then La Mare Wine Estate is the perfect destination for you. Located in St Mary, this estate offers an array of delicious local handmade produce that will tantalize your taste buds. From chocolates to biscuits, preserves to speciality Christmas treats, La Mare has it all.

But what makes La Mare so special? Let's dive deeper into the history and offerings of this unique wine estate.

History

La Mare Wine Estate was established in 1972 by John Falle who had a passion for winemaking. He started with just one acre of land and planted vines that he imported from France. Over time, he expanded his vineyard to over 25 acres and began producing award-winning wines.

Today, La Mare is still family-owned and operated by Tim Crowley who took over the business in 2003. Under his leadership, the estate has continued to thrive and expand its offerings beyond just wine.

Wine

Of course, wine is still at the heart of La Mare's business. The estate produces a variety of wines including reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines using traditional methods combined with modern technology.

Their signature wine is their Jersey Sparkling Rosé which has won numerous awards including Gold at the International Wine Challenge. It's made using Pinot Noir grapes grown on their own vineyard combined with Chardonnay grapes from Champagne.

In addition to their own wines, they also offer tastings of other local wines as well as those from around the world in their tasting room.

Food

But what sets La Mare apart from other wineries is their focus on food as well as wine. They have an onsite restaurant called The Vineyard Café which serves up delicious meals made using locally sourced ingredients including fresh seafood caught off Jersey's coast.

They also have a farm shop where you can purchase all sorts of goodies such as homemade jams and chutneys made using fruit grown on their own farm; artisanal cheeses; freshly baked bread; locally roasted coffee; handmade chocolates; and much more!

During the festive season (Christmas), they offer hampers filled with these delectable treats that make perfect gifts for friends or family members who appreciate quality food products.
