Clean, good service, good A/C, great breakfast buffet. I recommend the make your own omelette station. It may be one of the more expensive places on the river walk but it s definitely worth the price.

This hotel enjoys a prime location with easy access to the River Walk right out the back door. It is a gorgeous facility with beautiful furnishings and artwork reflecting its history. The best part of my stay came from the friendly and helpful staff in every department. We took photos of some of the people there as they were a delightful part of our San Antonio experience.

I fell in love with this hotel when we drove up to the valet. Everyone was friendly and we were given a quick repsonse when requesting house keeping services. This is the perfect location of the riverwalk, we were close to everything. Very romantic atmosphere, it was the PERFECT getaway hotel. The breakfast buffet was amazing, I was highly impressed with everything overall and we will be staying here again.

We had a great event. However, AC wasn't cold enough for all the people at event. Elevator wait was to long. Stairs don't go all the way up either if you decided to walk?
Convenient parking and restrooms!

Our stay was fantastic. We came in just after our wedding and received nothing but warm welcomes and congratulations from all the staff. The beds were comfortable and the room was peaceful, something we appreciated after our time spent down town.

We stay in San Antonio twice a year. Recently we decided to try new hotels in the area and found that the Omni La Mansion del Rio to be a great find.
It has the best A/C we've ever experienced as well as the hot water and water pressure. The room was clean and the hotel staff very friendly.
The only thing that could make them better is adding another elevator.

Centrally located in the San Antonio downtown river front area with great customer service and a really nice detailed look to the place both inside and out. The rooms were very clean (and I'm a little OCD about that) and modern. Would recommend.

Very great experience staying here. We were only there for 1 night, so they upgraded us to a room right on the Riverwalk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we will definitely be back next chance we get! Room was super nice and clean, and bed was SO comfy.

La Mansion del Rio Riverwalk is a very old hotel and could stand for substantial upgrades to guest rooms and bathrooms. The rustic look with a reminiscence of the Alamo or Spanish Villa was okay however room #217 where we stayed looked as though the carpet had never been cleaned the furniture look was outdated dating back to the 60s. The hotel rate was very costly for the look. Whenever I visit San Antonio again Omni La Mansion will not be a pick for choice in the top 10 selection.

At check in didn't get key for service bar
called in and someone was supposed to bring it to our room.
an hour later key never arrived. I figured let me get in the car and go around SA tried to call but the phone was never answered all this within my first four hours. needless to say less than what was to be expected out of Omni.

Well let me first say I like the hotel it is nice, comfy bedding and nice shower , clean, room isn't very big though and the way it was described on the omni website isn't quite what we got. I'm not saying it isn't a good hotel, but the way its marketed and priced isn't correct, I expected a great deal more of a higher end type of amenities and the ones listed on Google are not available such as in room dining isn't available no room service is offered at all!!! We had to get door dash for dinner. The room we got was the ambassador king suite and the website mentioned to rooms. Meaning sitting area would be separated by a wall and the couch is right next to the bed and the balcony that is described as two balconies is really one and its tiny, the other one is she shared balcony with 3 or 4 other rooms! And I could practically shake hands with people walking downThe river walk, not so private. Also there is a closet and a few drawers in a wardrobe that is also the same space that houses the coffee and the TINY refrigerator and safe. Who wants their food next to their clothes? The closet is small, but it has one, and the second bathroom is really a vanity space. Not a bathroom. But that is my favorite part of the tiny $306 a night room. Also nope there is no bar at the pool and no restaurant is here.... all that stuff is across the STREET! at their sister property!!! So you should book your room there instead if you want to have what you paid for. ..

We very much enjoyed our stay at Omni La Mansion. The room was great and we enjoyed people watching from the balcony overlooking the Riverwalk - But I cannot say enough good things about the staff, and in particular, Rebecca Stewart (Loyalty Ambassador). Rebecca went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Thank you for a great time! Looking forward to a return visit!

Lovely place. $150/night is about right. Their restaurant is by the riverwalk, pretty expensive , but still affordable for a fancy meal ($55 for 3 course meal. Others range from $18 to $68). Delicious and beautiful dishes. Fishes and seafoods here are FRESH, unlike in California.

I know they said it wasn't a big deal and they do it when they can, but the staff really went above and beyond for me. I was getting married at the McNay and we chose the Omni to stay for our wedding night. The Mcnay has no place for us to get ready so we really needed to get in to the hotel room before check-in time. Not only did they let us get in a couple of hours early but we also got complimentary mimosas! Win win! Plus it really is a beautiful hotel : )

Beautiful hotel on Riverwalk. Great view from our balcony room. Room was nicely decorated. Gorgeous heated courtyard pool. Such friendly staff, went out of their way to provide outstanding service. Cute coffee shop with good croissants for quick bite to start day. Great location on boardwalk. Near all restaurants, and walking to Alamo and shopping. We so much enjoyed our stay.

It's a very interesting old hotel. It tends to make you think of a simpler time when life was slower and everyday stresses were much less. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The hallways are dark and warm (maybe open air), but the rooms were beautiful ( and air conditioned ). Hints of Spanish style abound and it's very close to the Alamo. The rooms have comfy beds and a well suited bathroom. It's near all the big restaurants and has easy access to the main areas of town. If your looking for a unique stay that takes you back to another time near the riverwalk, this is the place for you.

This is a smaller hotel compared to the high-rises they are building these days, but don't don't let that fool you. The facility is very nice and well maintained. The staff is friendly and courteous. And I mean all the stuff. This is the first hotel I have stayed at where ever employee I encountered greeted us with a smile and a kind word. One side of the hotel backs up directly to the river walk and has amazing views. It is within easy walking distance from several great restaurants, the Aztec Theater and the river boat tours. The next time we go back to this area, we are definitely staying here.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to many attractions and boasts a large amount of beautifully designed meeting rooms, which makes it a prime location for corporate meetings. If you are looking for a team that works hard to make sure your corporate event is perfect, I highly recommend this hotel. Our event was a complete success thanks to the diligence, professionalism and kindness of the entire staff.

The hotel was nice and has a great historic feel there. The staff is great, everyone I encountered was friendly. The room is nice, however mine was missing a hairdryer. The coffee and pastries were above par than the bigger chains in the area. The only negative is that the WiFi is not complementary and there's no free continental breakfast.

Rooms were very small , don't pay extra for the river view it's completely covered by huge trees ,you have to share your balcony with three other rooms, on top of that you have to pay to have WiFi , good access to the Riverwalk was about the best thing .

From check in to check out, our stay at Omni La Mansion Del Rio was exceptional. Front desk staff was friendly, courteous and accomodating. Valet staff was friendly, knowledgable and informative. The hotel restaurant served a phenominal breakfast buffet...Pancakes were some of the best I've had. Service was beyond expectations on all levels. I gave a 5 star rating, however, our room was right next to the elevator and there were several "rude" guests coming in at all hours being extremely loud. And that noise/loud conversations in hallway, went on from 9:30 pm till after midnight. No, we didn't call the front desk to complain, but that was the only down side of our stay. Everything and everyone else were top notch. We will stay again!

Beautiful hotel stay there for a company function super nice staff but we had a room right next to the Elevator Shaft and didn't get any sleep I don't think you should book any of those rooms without people knowing how loud it is it's a shame cuz otherwise we would have had a great time but when you don't get any sleep it kind of makes you jaded if you want to stay be sure to ask if the room it's next to the Elevator Shaft or you will be thoroughly disappointed

I initially gave this 1 star - it was a terrible experience, but I complained (for the first time in my life for a hotel), and they compensated me, so because of their customer service I have increased this to a 3 out of 5.

As far as the hotel stay, it was filled with a host of problems, definitely the most memorable experience of the 200+ hotels I've stayed in in my life, here were just some of the problems:
1) Gave me room next to the hospital with ambulances making noise frequently
2) Lied about no other rooms available since a number of my colleagues checked-in after me and all got rooms away from the hospital
3) No heat! Amazing, usually not an issue except it was 30 degrees out and the room smelled really bad so I had to open the windows
4) Overcharged me - some random charges on my cc for water I didn't drink
5) Elevators broken, no elevator going to 7th floor - nice -although I don't mind walking some people might
6) 4-5 min for water to heat up for some reason - I can't imagine how far it had to be coming from to take that long
7) Alarm going off in room next door to me at 1 am (maybe this wouldn't be their fault - except the room was unoccupied - so going to have to say that's the hotels fault as well)
8) Fire alarm evacuated building at 7am (again not sure if you can blame this on the hotel, but who knows it's pretty old and a lot of stuff doesn't seem to work right).

Anyway I could go on, but let me also comment that the customer service was good and all the people I encountered were very helpful and responsive (outside of the one guy who lied to me about no other rooms being available).

Anyway, my colleagues all enjoyed the hotel and it is right on the river walk and the hotel did apologize for all the troubles and were kind enough to compensate me, so those are all pluses, but I had to at least write the review with all of these events so others are not completely blindsided as I was.

The Thanksgiving Buffet was pleasant with moderate service from staff. The $150 per person pricing and the gratuity automatically applied by the restaurant resulted in a steep cost for a buffet meal.
The food was of moderate to good quality, depending upon the dish. I was surprised by the quality of the black caviar. It was presented on ice near sour cream and blinis (a small, round, sourdough "pancake" that is often traditionally served with caviar and sour cream)! To see a nod to a classic Russian hors d'oeuvre here in South Texas was fun.
I braced myself upon my first mouthful of blini, caviar, and sour cream. Fearing the worst, instead I was pleasantly surprised. The caviar was fresh, cool, light, and with absolutely NO fishy flavor or odor. For this reviewer that was the standout offering at this buffet.

The hotel was nice I didn't have many complaints other than the long was kind of small for what it was advertised and the bathroom door didn't work took me 3 days of complaining before they finally came and fixed it however it did get fixed after a noise complaint on my children because I have a 14 year old and 11 year old who like to fight over the bathrooms really the noise complaint wasn't our fault
