Excellent food and staff. One of my favorite places!!

Always an incredible experience. Really knowledgeable and friendly staff, excellent food. You can't go wrong here. Cozy and romantic atmosphere, it's amazing for special occasions.

This restaurant was just flat out amazing. From the service to the food, we just enjoyed it all. I thought the location was cool at how it was hidden and the interior just was beautiful. I have told everyone about this place. The food was crafted with care and the wine selection was extensive. I will be back.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! Every positive review is absolutely correct. From the phenomenal valet service to the amazing sweet hostess at the front that a accommodated us swiftly without a reservation to the amazing bar tender at the bar. I m completly in love with this place. The drinks were amazing. I LOVED the chicken alfredo I ordered I would def recommend that. You can tell the food is cooked fresh for each order. The ambiance is literally the best I ve seen in ATL.. the outside patio is so romantic perfect for a date night or anniversary dinner. I will defiantly be a regular here. I LOVED IT!

Absolutely the best restaurant in Atlanta and tops in the country. The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. It s a great experience. Please note, they will prepare off menu items to your specifications. Just ask the staff for recommendations. They also have an extensive wine offering.

Excellent service! Best I ve ever received. Also, This is the best Italian food I ve ever tasted. The ambience was romantic in nature, but would be great for any occasion. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this place. It was pricey, but it was worth it based on the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. Make a reservation it fills up fast!

Old school Italian restaurant that continues to be popular. A little less formal than before, but it still retains the elegance of an expensive restaurant that serves fine cuisine. I'm sentimental about La Grotta since I have had a lot of good times there. Saturday night there has the electricity of a place where many people have come for a good time. Attentive staff, reasonable prices, good food. All in an improbable location in a suburban Atlanta residential apartment building. How do I love La Grotta? Let me count the ways......

Very bad Valentine s Day experience! I left the table angry as a result of the downright awful service. Our waiter was not friendly at all and not even close to attentive. However, it seemed other tables got more attention from him as a couple next to us that arrived 20 minutes after us proceeded in their courses much faster and got checked on. I don t know if it was because we are younger or because of some other appearance related reason that we were not given the service other tables received.

The food was just alright for the price. I have no problem paying top dollar for great food experiences and my wife s favorite type of food is Italian. My wife and I absolutely love Del Posto(our favorite restaurant in fact!) in NYC which will run you at least $500 and we love St. Cecelia in Buckhead which has much better food and service than La Grotta and costs less.

I just honestly don t see any reason to go back. The food was overrated and overpriced. I d suggest going to St. Cecilia over this restaurant any day. There s also some places in Roswell that have much better food.

The only reason I didn t give this restaurant one star was that it seems many one star reviews aren t taken seriously. Otherwise I would ve done it. Worst restaurant experience I ve had in a while.

My wife and I have been customers since La Grotta Buckhead opened more years ago than we wish to remember. It is a special place. Our waiter of 20 years, Alain, retired to be replaced by our favorite of the last 10 (15?) years, Juliano. Excellent food and personal service are a hallmark of La Grotta. The bar is without equal as a prequel to being seated. The various table and booth seating arrangements offer unique views of the restaurant, its operations and the patrons. Chef Antonio visits the tables in the Old World style. Christian adds an added sense of personal service as he juggles the seating, the waiters and the customers, following behind Chef Antonio to visit the tables. Your head waiters are not just food servers. Each has a unique culinary and wine expertise. Over the years Juliano has progressed us through the Italian wines from Chiantis to Tuscans to Super Tuscans to Valpolicellas to Barolos to Amarones.

And then COVID-19 arrived. We wished to support La Grotta by utilizing the take out option. Our expectations were not high but we didn't care. To our delight we discovered La Grotta brings the same professionalism and food quality to takeout that the inside restaurant always has. We should not have doubted La Grotta!

We miss the friendly banter and the sophistication of the inside restaurant. But if you wish to treat yourself to some outstanding food during these trying times we sincerely recommend you use the La Grotta takeout menu service.

The restaurant has now started limited in-house dining. We will check it out. Being in the high-risk demographic we will return as quickly as we feel comfortable doing so.

I have been to La Grotta in the past, about 5 years ago the last time. This local and hidden gem has always been a treat. Feels like you are in a ristorante in Italy, or as near as you can whilst in the USA. Great menu selection, very extensive wine list and of course the ingredients are all fresh. I had the veal and was astonished at the ravioli, which despite its simplicity was one of the best I ever had. I'm ready to return for the ravioli, but don't miss out on the desserts, which are authentic and will take you to Milano in your mind.

Can't go wrong with this old school favorite. Excellent food and service, highly recommend La Grotta.

Delicious! This hidden gem is a great find for me! I can't wait to try their patio area, the weather didn't permit on the day we were there, but it looked beautiful from inside. The food is amazing and so is the staff. I loved this place and will return!

I would give it a 3.7 stars. Service was average, food was good but didn t blow me away. But I had the best tiramisu there in the states so far! It was very well balanced and not too sweet! I d go back for that tiramisu for sure.

Authentic and good Italian food. With a slight Godfather atmosphere. The restaurant is located at the bottom of an older condo complex and a little odd in getting there. But don't let the facade fool you, the food is superb there.

A well-known local gem that serves up great Italian cuisine with an amazing staff. The atmosphere is very elegant and is a fantastic spot for a date night that allows for a single booth seating arrangement. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu as this restaurant has been around for a long time for the right reasons!

two days ago was the first time we came to that good restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the excellent service, with the superb cooking and booze and with the decent pay. We will surely visit there soon.

Over rated food is ok for the price the free bread was hard and cold went for my bday won't ever try again

So when you first walk in, it is obvious that you are in a higher end restaurant. It is a great location and beautifully decorated. But I must say the greeting process needs to be worked on. We had to wait a long time to even be welcomed by a hostess/waiter. The service was pretty satisfactory and the food was delicious, but they need to work on how they greet, seat and organize their guests. The seating seems to be a bit random and scattered which can be a very awkward when walking to/from your table and to the bathroom. Overall this restaurant is ok.

An Atlanta institution - you can't beat their $25 menu Tuesday - Thursday. Wait staff has been there for years, and remembers you after just a few visits.

Amazing food! Some of the finest Italian cuisine in the Atlanta area! I like the upscale feel and the waitstaff is very attentive. Have been several times and will be going back many more!

The food was perfect. Everything I wanted it to be. The atmosphere was cozy and the bartender Andi was personable and professional. An impressive wine list at modest prices.

Awesome place for a special dinner. Very knowledgeable staff who can answer any question about menu items. You definitely need to make reservations because it is not a large place. Food is excellent! It is quite loud inside but it didn't bother me.
