Very quaint restaurant. I would describe it as a hole in the wall but that is what makes it special. Very personal waiter and service is excellent. Also don't even look at the menu when you go in. Wait to hear the specials and you'll find at least one to order.

This place is the best. We are right around the corner and they always do their best to squeeze us in last minute for our weekly Burrata salad and Spaghetti Bolognese. Attentive and fast service and a delicious experience every single time.

My wife and I have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Food is excellent and John & Mario are very attentive and accommodating. Tonight our group of nine had another fantastic experience celebrating a birthday.

The restaurant is small but cute. One of my favorite places in South Philly for some Italian food. I was also impressed by customer service because our Italian waiter did a good job and brought a piece of Italy with his stories.
Keep up the good work!

I love this place. It is the one Italian restaurant that I recommend to everyone that is in search of some really good food. I have never tasted anything over or under cooked, over or under sauced, flavorless, or less than excellent. I have never left there unsatisfied. L'Angolo is tiny, however, and I don't believe that they can seat much more than 20 people so call in advance. The place is also located in the heart of South Philly so parking can be a challenge although I have somehow never spent more than a few minutes searching for a place to park. I grew up in NYC and have had the good fortune to enjoy many wonderful restaurants. L'Angolo is as memorable to me as any of them and better than almost all of them.

L'Angolo is about as close as you can get to dining in Italy without going there. Food is delicious (perfect gnocchi, tender braciole, and wow the grilled octopus), service could not be better, and then there is the enjoyable South Philly atmosphere. One drawback is the pasty bread which was saved by the tomato and olive oil dip. So if you want a good Italian dining experience, go to L'Angolo. BYOB.

L'Angolo is one of the true delights of Italian cuisine in Phillly. Clean, simple, and delicious. If you are lucky, the artichokes are in season. Take your partner out for the night, bring a bottle of wine or two, and ask to sit up front by the kitchen. You will have a great time enjoying the banter and the action in the tiny open kitchen. The owner may even come have a drink with you. Make a reservation and if you can, go late agree things settle down.

Huge portions and great food. Bring your own wine! Great place to go on a date or with family. A little tight inside as tables are relatively close together but the atmosphere and food are worth it.

Cute little place. And little it is. You enter through the kitchen, which was actually a nice, homey feeling. Everyone was friendly and our waiter was attentive to our needs. The food was delicious. I had mussles with a rose sauce that had great flavor and had just a slight bite to it. The mussles were cooked to perfection and were not sandy at all. The pasta special with crab meat and shrimp was delicious. This is a little gem tucked away in a South Philly neighborhood. It is worth a visit.

Very small dining area so make sure you reserve a table. I will be clear, the food here is absolutely amazing. BYOB, no corking fee. This is probably going to be one of my new go-to restaurants for Italian.

AMAZING food! We didn t have reservations, but they managed to squeeze us in. I would definitely recommend calling in ahead of time to make sure they have tables available. The menu is tapas/family style with dishes meant to be shared. We went for brunch, and it definitely hit the spot. I m sure everything on the menu is great, but I can only recommend the bruschetta, fried mozzarella, and lobster ravioli, as those were the only dishes I tried and they all were so flavorful and delicious

The food and service here was just great. It was a little busy and a little wait but it's worth it in the end. The penne melanzane I ordered was just perfect. I will definitely be going back here again.

I ordered from here through door dash. On the menu it states sausage ravioli for 22 dollars. I get my order and it was 8 pieces of ravioli. Order somewhere else. I called the owner and he says they have no door dash accoun . He just serves everyone.

The food was amazing. Service was excellent. I thought it was cool you could bring your own alcohol. Honestly I am not a huge Italian food fan, but this place changed my prospective. I will go back next time I am passing through Philly.

Not my first rodeo here Anytime you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the dining room you should know you are in for a treat. I was with five others, leaving on a company trip in the AM and decided to have dinner .Someone suggested Ralph's and I said no, no, no .Let's get something a notch up from pasta and gravy. They were not disappointed. Let's just say everyone loved their food The service and ambiance we're top notch
Don't settle for ordinary and instead check out this great little gem

Not sure what the four and five stare reviews are about. Perhaps I missed something. First time and perhaps last time. I ve eaten in too many good restaurants over the years and L Angolo is not one of them. Food came out over done and the service is just ok.

In town for the penguins game, so i was ready to root against all things Philadelphia this weekend, but good lord, everything here was perfect. 5 of us came, ordered 6 entries and 3 appetizers and there is literally nothing i wouldn't have again. If this is what Philly is, i think i won't root against them tomorrow (still rooting for the Pens though)
