Possibly my new favourite restaurant. Had a brilliant Friday evening here. Great atmosphere, amazing staff and every dish we ordered was delicious. Also really appreciated that even though the food is supposed to arrive as & when ready I feel like the kitchen managed our order so everything arrived perfectly staggered & we could enjoy each dish on its own - which they deserved. Would definitely recommend.

Primeur is brilliant. Unassuming, unaffected, but delicious. The menu changes regularly so my recommendations are useless, but sharing is caring so you will get to try the majority of dishes with just 2 or 3 of you. The mainly organic wine list is great and the atmosphere is lush. Try and get a seat at the kitchen if there is only two of you.

In normal times, Primeur is a buzzy, crowded little place with seasonal dishes and elbow to elbow eating. Covid has obviously screwed that up, and they've switched to a set menu while capacity is down. Fair enough - but the food didn't hit More

One of my favourite haunts for a dinner to catch-up with friends. Creative food to share. Short, well researched and changing wine list. And love the vibe of eating in a old candlelit garage.

This place has found the perfect balance between refined and rustic. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Best spot for two is in the bar where you can sample the wines. I just wish they had bubbles on the wine list.

A great moment of sharing in this intimate restaurant with a peaceful atmosphere. Healthy and very good quality food cooked and seasoned with taste for an amazing result for my French palate! I recommend it to all gourmets passing by!

I liked the communal space and general ambience but really, this is one of the most overhyped restaurants I ve been to. I get simple cooking and I don t expect or insist on intricate and skilfully executed food every time I eat out, but this was overpriced and the service was very slow.

The idea is right; you lay on a menu that is easy for a professional kitchen, which means food is turned out efficiently.

The waiter explained the style of eating and asked if we d experienced the restaurant before, at the end of the day, dress it up as you wish, this is a tapas restaurant. We asked how many dishes were recommended and 4 was suggested. When we then ordered we were encouraged away from having 2 large plates and ended up ordering 3 small plates with one plate of Venison. We had no idea how small the plates were but this was not enough food when it arrived. It became clear that we were channelled towards this outcome because the kitchen had a problem with cooking. The Venison was the only cooked dish and arrived more than half after we had finished the other plates.

Unfortunately due to the effects of the wine we decided to order cheese and when we were asked to leave a tip we did.

A restaurant like this does not deserve the many hysterically positive reviews that it gets.

Beautiful food, atmosphere, and service. I ve been a few times and never disappointed. It s definitely a treat. It s not easy to create places like this, and very easy to criticise but I appreciate the attention to detail.

Great environment and decoration. Wine is quite nice and food is very good. The pork collar is to die for. Staff is very attentive, and the format of the restaurant is very casual which makes it super nice. Will definitely come back.

Wonderful atmosphere in the evening. Our party of 4 were sat on a long shared table, the lighting was atmospheric and the daily menu offered us fantastic variety. We felt the wine list was a little pricey but in general had an excellent mean with very good service.

This place is a secret jewel in north London! Laid back and relaxed you can spend hours chatting over wine by candle light or trying all the different flavours. Only criticism is lack of vegetarian options.

Wine selection, vibe and service are superb. The menu is small and on the wall. Simple dishes to share. We ordered the lentils and squash, baked onion, and cavatelli with Ragu. A fun evening with friends, although it looked like a nice vibe for the dates around us too.

My girlfriend and I live just moved into the area so thought we'd pop down to visit. We had a terrific evening. Despite being surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night they managed to accommodate us, there's a truly excellent selection of surprisingly inventive dishes to chose from (all written on a giant specials board which changes every night along with the wine list), the staff are all very friendly and there's a terrific atmosphere in the place (surprisingly homely for a converted garage). Style wise, think Osteria meets French cuisine.

Great service, great food, great wine. Impressed by the layout, felt nice and open given how many people they had in the restaurant. Struggled to read the board a bit, more of a menu fan myself. The food portions are small, not the place to go if you are starving, but very nice quality.

Absolutely fantastic...high quality food comes at a price and it is worth every penny. The menu was creative and introduced us to some new things, the service was wonderful and the kitchen staff went above and beyond for a special request. Definitely a place to treat yourself and we will be going again!

Primeur has deservedly achieved a great reputation locally and across the capital for the excellence of its food and wine. Set in an old car workshop, it is stylish and cosy and in summer the huge garage doors swing open on to the street. It's informal with seating around large tables, the bar and some wall counters but set against a high standard of service and knowledge of ingredients and wine. I recommend sitting at the bar and watching the chef and his team, creating the dishes with care and passion. This is a shining star in the neighbourhood.

Nothing to drink apart from wine and tap water. As my husband and I no longer drink we were on the tap water! That was fine but there was also no coffee to end the meal with and when we asked why we were treated to a lecture on the 'concept' behind the restaurant, 'keeping things simple blah, blah, blah' (nothing about that on their website!) and told rather arrogantly that serving coffee 'will never happen here!'. With such rudeness and arrogance we will 'never be going back!'.

Nice place to go if you've got the cash. Book ahead if you can. Huge wine list and nice staff. The menu changes everyday. Waiter suggested 4 to 5 plates to share. We left having had a nice tasty meal but it wasn't fulfilling. It is noisy atmosphere so if you have a hearing difficulty let them know. Unlucky on the day we went there were limited vegetarian options but that's the risk with a changing menu. Would return for a treat or date night.

To quote the waiter there are many things they don t in this restaurant . This was how the dinner ended after asking for coffee. We were a party of 4 and got sat at the end of a long table very tight and plates didn t fit. Staff was very offended and defensive at our criticism of this situation. Food was ok, a bit soupish in the consistency, too much garlic in one of the dishes. The meat dishes were not tender at all and tasteless. Also no salt or pepper on the table. I liked the location.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Tucked away on the edge of Canonbury and Stokey, it's an absolute gem. Small plates made for sharing and seasonal European changes. Staff are lovely, ambience is amazing. Perfect for catch ups, dates and family outings.

Had a really nice evening - the setting and the atmosphere are great. The food was good, though perhaps a bit overpriced. The service is attentive, although our waiter was definitely on the hard sell! He was a bit pushy perhaps, when we pretty much knew what we wanted to order. Also, we were disappointed to see on our final bill a plate of anchovies that came with our bread which we had not ordered - they were delicious however, and so decided not to complain.

Ate here recently, phoned ahead asking for vegan options and was told they could accommodate. When we arrived virtually nothing was edible for a vegan, the chef was not prepared to cook something simple to cater for us. Very disappointing.

Restaurant with great atmosphere and a pared-back set menu post-Covid to reduce waste which I applaud. Only slight disappointment was lack of non-alcoholic drink options, all they offered was apple juice (I m pregnant so had to stay clear of the wine and beer). Please please please get in some non-alcoholic beverages for the people who can t/choose not to drink alcohol.

Really overpriced small dishes for what are essentially plates of meat (no garnish/salad), felt constantly pressured by waiting staff to order more and more - like they were almost aggressive with how much we should be ordering - some plates were cold, not much flavour- do not see what the fuss is about would never go again

The interior looked great and the staff were super friendly. However I found it a teeny bit pretentious if I'm honest - a little too try hard. Also the portions are tiny! Everything was basically starter sized which is annoying if you're hungry and you're paying a fair amount per dish. To be fair it was tasty but I left feeling unfulfilled and had to eat something when I got home.

Great neighbourhood restaurant. The food was par excellence - 5*. We didn't get the 'primeur' choice of seating (we sat at the counter, next to the phone/service area) but then again, we were walk-ins: beggars can't be choosers!

Food wasn't cooked very well for the prices paid. Long waiting times for food. House wine wasn't nice. Service took a while. Portion sizes very small and was meant to be shared among people
