Pablo was very helpful and knowledgeable, as well as honest. I do not usually write reviews but felt that in this case it was warranted. Knowing that I am working with a trustworthy mechanic is refreshing. I will continue to patron Kraft German Auto and trust them with my Mercedes CLS63AMG. A special thanks to Steve!!

I had an EXCELLENT experience with the staff at Kraft German Auto. The receptionist has a beautiful personality and Steve is AWESOME!!! I felt confident in the work performed on my E350 Sport and I will definitely send referrals! The crew there is knowledgeable, patient and thorough. They are THE BEST!!! I wouldn't trust my car with anyone else!!! I am SUPER happy!!
Your long knowledge of mercedes is nothing without making the customer feel like their dime is worth just as much as a regular customer. Came for a diagnosis for 1 thing and they diagnosed something else and also took 4 days to before they called me to tell me about a problem I already knew I had but not about the problem that I brought my car in for the. Charged me more than what the diagnosis really cost because the mechanic had to go back to look at the problem i originally brought the car in for. The excuse for this was not worth me spending another dime in this establishment. Honest mechanics are hard to find for these types of cars so your better off getting some type of warranty to cover your payments or bring it back to the dealership.
Had a problem with my Mercedes and was afraid to take it to a mechanic because I thought it would cost an arm and a leg and would be a long process to fix. Found Kraft through a Google search and I must say that this was the best experience I have ever had with a repair shop (and I have owned many cars). Steve runs a professional ship and the service was something you wouldn't forget (he even offered to call me a cab!). Fair prices and fast, great service. If you own a Mercedes and are in need of repairs or service, try Kraft German Auto. You won't be disappointed!
I LOVE this place! My '93 190E has been across the country and needed it's fair share of mechanics help. Steve has been super knowledgeable about every issue I have brought to him. I really trust his opinion about what needs to be fixed right away and what we can hold off on to save money. He even goes the extra step to save the old parts when he is done so I can see what they looked like. I really appreciate it and find it cool. I highly recommend Kraft if you're in the Brooklyn area.
i brought my mercedes to this guy to get a full inspection of everything that needed to be fixed one item on the list was transmission fluid change when i brought the car back it was running perfectly fine when he gave it back to me the car wouldnt come out of 2nd gear. he had the nurve to tell me i only did what you asked i said no im following the instructions you gave me on PAPER!!! long story short i had to junk the car bad tranny and he wouldnt take any responsibility or help THIS GUY JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY!!!!
If you need work done on your MB , this is the place to go. Great work performed, and I don't have anything to complain about. Cheaper than dealer but not in the quality of work. They took care of me when I needed some work done and I wouldn't hesitate to ask again.
I spoke with Steve after inquiring online about general maintenance and some possible additional repairs needed. He was upfront and honest about costs and showed us what was needed when we brought the car there. He also fixed a problem for $25 that the dealer said would cost $1000! Definitely will continue to do business with Kraft.
Superb service and a very professional staff. They managed to solve a problem with a broken ignition part of a 1989 G300, amazing. I brought the part here in a bag and they knew what car it was without me even saying a word! Highly recommend.
Steve is by far the best Mercedes mechanic in New York. He know s these cars better than the dealership, is fast, honest, and does great work. He s the only mechanic I trust with my 300D.
Steve and the staff at Kraft German Auto are the finest in the city. They provide exceptional service and quality work. Besides, their prices beat the dealerships hands-down! I guarantee if you go you will not be disappointed. I recently bought my second MB GL 450 in May 2012 from Steve and I am still on a "high ". Thanks Steve
Want to make it clear that I didn't proceed with the repair, so can't vouch for the quality of his work.
That being said, I went to get a new Bosch starter that was already purchased installed on my '13 S550. Was told he wouldn't install my part because it wasn't purchased directly from the MB dealership. The labor rates were also dealership rates. So my thing is this, if I'm gonna pay dealer part price, dealer labor rates, why am I going to a little shop in Flatbush instead of sitting in the lounge sipping a cappuccino at MB of Brooklyn?
I see a lot of reviews regarding service on cars from the 80s and 90s and can see how this place would be better for that. Because the dealers tend to shy away from fixing 30 year old cars. For later models just doesn't seem to make much sense.
Anyway, my story ended by going with another German indy shop that recognized Bosch is an OEM supplier and had the part installed in less than 2 hours. Total cost less than half of the $700 I was quoted.
I have been coming to Kraft German Auto for 2 plus years. I have fixed a lot of maintenance problems here, check engine light problems and simple oil change problems. I have brought my car to side road mechanics and had to come back here to rectify the problem. At the end of the day even though it might cost some coins it is good to have a mechanic I can rely on.
Yesterday was my 2nd time dealing with Kraft....my 2018 GLS was serviced, as I waited. Price was very affordable. Service was professional and, I do highly, recommend this shop!
I have been a regular customer for a few years now. Steve maintains my 94 E320 wagon, knows the model inside out. You get what you pay for - high quality professional expertise. For years before finding Kraft I took my car to other mechanics, though cheaper I never felt good driving away. I am confident with Kraft and as long as I have a Mercedes in NYC they will be working on it!
For me the best Mercedes Benz service center in Brooklyn. Not over price for any of the work they do on your Benz. They only work on Benz and only Benz go into their bays. No matter the problem they will have your car running like new once they are done with the work.
They will check your car and determine what's wrong with it. But they will charge you too expensive to fix it according to my experience. I paid $55 for 5mn of my car being on the lift.
I was recommend by a friend to check out this shop when I was experiencing an engine misfire with my vehicle. I was told that I needed a new engine because one of my cylinders had no compression. Needless to say that wasn't true. My friend that suggested this establishment and I were very disappointed that Kraft would try to take me for a ride. They wanted 8k to put a new engine in. I wouldn't advise anyone to deal with this place. I ended up paying for the diagnoses fees for a problem that wasn't true. I lucky found an honest auto shop that specialize in Mercedes. They fixed my cars misfire and it was far from a dead cylinder.
I really can't agree wit with what everyone is sayin I had to bring my GL550 back over three times and he still couldn't fix my problem so with that being said I'm really disappointed and won't go back now I have to take it to dealer cause now it's in worst condition now
Always competitively priced, always providing top level service. Can t articulate how crucial Kraft has been in tuning up my 85 300TD wagon and my knowledge in and around this car of mine.
Service here was excellent. Steve and the rest of the staff was very informative and helpful. He was really thorough and walked me through the options, giving me the most bang for my buck. I have an older molder Mercedes (96' S500) and after visiting a few shops this was the only place I felt comfortable having them work on my car aside from the dealer. He took the time to answer all my questions and even checked out some other things I didn't ask for to let me know what my options are. What I appreciate most is that it didn't feel like a scam where all of a sudden "this, that and the third" needed to be fix, but genuine guidance on what needed to be done. Moving forward this will be the only shop I bring my car to.
TLDR; Dope spot that I highly recommend if you own a Mercedes and want dealer quality work at affordable prices.
Needed coolant. Turned into needing a new thermostat because the computer wasn t recognizing the temperature. They were fast and professional. I ve used them in the past and and had the same experience. Definitely recommend.
The infamous M272 balance shaft issue is finally fixed! I ve searched all over the web for the Dealer Alternatives that have experience in fixing the issue and Kraft German Auto was the only shop available in the NYC area. Without knowing anything about them, I decided to visit the shop to ensure it is the right place for fixing my car. I met Steve there and we had a good discussion on the procedure of the balance shaft repair. He was very knowledgeable about the repair and he even showed me one of the pulled engines that his technician was working on. After the visit and conversation with Steve I was convinced that I ve found the right place to fix my car. Long story short, now my car is running smooth without the check engine light ON and I m counting on many more reliable miles to come. Thank you Steve and your crew for the fantastic job well done!
This place is like the dealership part two. The price is not worth the consultation nor the service. There's way better in Brooklyn. The owner likes overcharging because he has experience, but there's people with enough experience that will offer you a much fairer price. I paid over 2K to get some problems with my engine fixed, only to have more next week. The owner said the new problems happened because the old parts couldn't handle the new installed parts. So shouldn't that have been something you experienced and advised me about? I honestly feel they put holes in some pipes to secure additional business from me. Advice to the owner: Think long term gains from loyal customers, not how to make a quick buck by screwing people.
Hi I'm David I brought my 2011 Mercedes E550 in because the rear suspension had a sag and an uneven ride so me and mr. Kraft decided to go with OEM Parts directly from Mercedes we switch the suspension from air matic to coil suspension I cannot tell the difference in ride quality the only difference I do feel is better responsiveness from the suspension and more of a sporty feel which is needed for New York City Streets I give Kraft German Auto five stars Steve really pays attention to detail and he goes over everything as if it was his own personal vehicle. there's a bit of a wait time that I had to get used to being this was my first time using their repair Service but the quality of work is well worth the wait the transparency and honesty is what i look for. kudos to the team much respect coming from a fellow tech and gearhead dont look at the money enjoy the value for your buck!
I took my car to Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan to fix what felt like a misfire on the right cylinder bank. After charging me close to $1,000 without finding or fixing a problem, I took my car to Kraft. The team there was able to diagnose the problem in less than half a day. The prices are very fair and the team is honest. I plan to take my car(s) to Kraft from now on.
Brought a new to me 91 300 ce from BAT in, and they did a great job with inspecting it for me and mopping up some deferred maintenance. Prices were reasonable, and these guys know their way around older benzes. Great shop, my new go to for mb
By far the best mechanic shop for your buck if you have a Benz. He doesn't play games and gets the job done right with no headaches. Pricing is very fair. Even deals with after market warranties. Steve is a great guy. Thanks Champ for taking care of my vehicle!
mechanics and diagnostic is great but his customer service is ok!!!
i spent over 2 grand with steve i bring my car there yesterday he looks at it for 3 mintues and still charge me 125 diagnostic fee. i mean is this how u treat a customer who spends money and recomends your shop to other people! all he did was check the codes which i could have did at autozone for free n say we cant fix this n charges me 125!For someone who spends money he is very rude !
after probably 8 years of taking care of my 99 ML, i have only good things to say about Kraft GA. Reliable and trustworthy. We just turned 200,000 miles and still going strong.
Steve and his team go above and beyond to make you feel apart of their Mercedes family. I went through a very costly, but imperative suspension replacement on my 2004 SL500 with Steve. He did a beautiful job and my car is absolutely perfect. Comes back sparkling clean every time I go for an oil change or inspection. Highly recommend for their honesty and guidance.
You Get What You Pay For. A firm handshake a warm smile and great service. I left with all the confidence that my vehicle was running 100% and purring. I am a very satisfied customer..... thank you so much.
Great service took my Mercedes there for a key problem they took their time and fixed it Pablo was very nice not to mention I spent over $1000 trying to get this problem fixed and got bad results I definitely recommend this place for mercedes benz owners
