The seats are very uncomfortable and it's hard to hear what's going on in the balcony area. Very modern and appealing architecturally. I will visit again to see if the seats near the stage are more accommodating.

I love the lover center! I grew up coming to this center and saw my first play here in the 3rd grade! All the show I've seen here have been spectacular! Every year we must see the Dracula ballet. I'm going to bring my baby daughter here as she grows up so she can experience the magic! Such a beautiful stage too. I highly recommend!

Went to see the Nutcracker ballet here and had a good time with the family. The tickets were very expensive on some websites so make sure you go directly to the Koger Center website for tickets. We were lucky enough to have a friend that gave us tickets. We go to see the Nutcracker every year but I'd like to see what other future shows they have at the Koger Center.

This venue is just big enough without being too big. I've set in second row seats and second balcony seats. All seats are great!!! The Koger center is coming into it's own now. They are bringing more off Broadway shows which I love!!! Just saw Wicked!!!

The building is beautiful! Full glass views from all floors. Parking in garage adjacent to building was convenient. Performance was amazing, sounds, lights etc. Our seats were 3rd floor balcony, first row. A short person will require the booster seats available to see over wall. I watched entire performance without unfolding the seat , utilizing the height and was able to see perfectly and remained comfortable. Bathrooms are located on the right side of the building only ( all floors) . The biggest issue that I observed: there is no main isle, you can only enter the row your seat is in from L or R side therefore causing you to walk in front of many people to go to and from your seat. Once we arrived I n our seats, we didn't move the rest of the evening.

I have came here for several ballets over the years, as well as concerts. My favorite event is the Dracula ballet. The Koger center is laid out very well. There are drinks available for purchase although it is a little steep in prices. The theatrics for the Dracula ballet are very well laid out. They change up the performance every year. So that it s always different to some degree. It s fun to dress up and pretend you re fancy. The intermissions are very well timed, however you have to rush to the concessions to be able to purchase anything during your 15-20 min break. I would and will continue to attend performances here. I ve never sat in the balcony, but I hear it s a good view if you sit more center. If you get in the ends of the aisles then your view of some angles of the stage might be blocked by curtains. I would recommend checking out a show here. Especially the Dracula ballet if you are new to ballets.

Im really thankful that the Koger center brings great talent including broadways to Columbia!

I attended the Nutcracker performance last Dec 2019. Parking is across the street for a fee normally $5 and up per car. There is some free parking on streets if you get lucky. USC parking handles large crowds, so no worries about a parking issue. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The Koger Center is very modern and up to date, bathrooms very large with plenty of stalls. The seats in the theater are comfy with enough walking space in between. They are leveled appropriately so others can see the stage comfortably.

I will continue to use this venue for yrs to come!

Saw the Nutcracker, which I liked, but didn't love. The seats are closer together than a newer facility. Price was good. The program with pictures of the dancers without shirts was...unwelcome. The performance had strong feminine undertones.

Valet for the event I attended was VERY affordable and the attendants were sweet and very gentlemen-like! We were immediately greeted at the door with assistance in finding out where to go, where concessions was located, and the restrooms! The theater itself is classic.

Went by to get seat assignments today(4-22) at 2:30 for my comp tickets, and ticket office was closed! Wow! I made a special trip from Irmo to do this in advance of the performance. We have been to the Koger Center many times, and always suffer the same problem....lack of efficient parking! Valet service is ok, but it takes longer to wait for a car than to just park it yourself. Parking garage is not an option when another event is at the Colonial Center! Columbia, something needs to be done to encourage attendance by providing adequate parking!

Great venue for the University of South Carolina Honors College Revocation/graduation ceremony. Beautiful facility, clean, pleasant staff, good lighting, and excellent sound. Beware of seating arrangements though. There isn't a middle aisle. The rows of seats are continuous from one side of the theater to the other. So if attendees do not fill in the seats from the middle of the row first, there could be great seats with the best views of the stage left open and too difficult to get reach. Recommend arriving to any event early enough to visit the restroom, etc. before the start of the event and get to the prime seats early. It's too difficult to step over others to get in or get out later. By the way, I don't think there is a bad seat in the theater, but the middle seats were great for my family.

Great theatre with some good rotating programs. Layout is a little odd, and it seems the facilities cannot handle the volume of people coming out all at once at intermission, but this is acceptable for the size of the theatre.

We just went to see the Midtown Men. We had to be moved twice and still were sat behind someone drenched in perfume/cologne. The men were worse than the women. We get to the events an hour and 1/2 early to get a handicapped spot because my huband has CP and there are few spots near the Koger Center. Then we were are set on fire with stench. There should be a no cologne policy with so many people crammed together. Two asthma attacks later, my lungs are raw. My body is swelling. I have Lupus...and may be on prednisone due to coming to a show at the Koger. Many people near me in each spot complained about the stench of these people. People should just bathe and use deodorant...please...you all are offensive!!! My doctor refuses to see people who wear perfume/cologne. Be considerate...Make this a policy...please!!

The ticketing really sucks. Had 2 tickets for Mannheim Steamroller locked up. The credit card didn't go through for some reason. Never mind that my rating is 823 and I've never had an issue before. Tried again for the last 2 seats in the house that I wanted. Couldn't get those because there were 3 seats on that row available. Tried buying all 3. Card didn't go through again. You people SUCK!!! Just wanted to see a show with my wife. Why not email the people that lock up the seats? Why not have a real phone number where you can straighten out situations like this out. I will NEVER EVER EVER come to another event at this place.

Great shows at reasonable prices, however.... Seats are for people who weigh less than 200 pounds. They are extremely narrow. If you are unfortunate enough to have to sit beside someone who is larger, it makes for a very uncomfortable evening.
