The thermal rooms were ok but there was a lot of people using them. The women at the reception were friendly. The pool had to be accessed via the gym, and there was no towels in the pool area. The massage and facial were very nice. The afternoon tea was dreadful, the sandwiches were stale and we felt we were put in a hallway out of the way. There was plenty of room in the room serving tea downstairs but we were treated like an afterthought being put upstairs in the hall.
We were left waiting at the door to the tea room also which I didn't like. The offer we bought was a Christmas present and I feel was not good value for money. Other spas I have gone to were far superior for the same cost. Poor value for money
Spa and golf course are both excellent. Hotel staff are super friendly. Really looking forward to returning here.
Good beer and food, service can leave a bit to be desired sometimes
Lovely hotel. Attended a wedding here in april 19. Staff and reception were very helpful and polite. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of food...cold and hot meats, pastries and cereals and a cute pancake maker which went down a treat with the kids.
Lovely hotel food lovely spotless clean staff could not do enough for u great views of golf course
Nothing special but ok.Great breakfast selection and staff is very friendly.
I bought a Groupon voucher for 5 treatments and afternoon tea, costing 105. It was a nice location, very relaxing and calm atmosphere, reception staff were friendly and the facilities were great.
They only thing that I wasn't impressed with was the therapist I had on the day. Firstly, before we went in for our treatments my therapist told my friend she couldn't get her finger nails painted rather than her toenails because it wasn't part of the deal, even though afterwards my friends therapist said that would be no problem.
Secondly, the toenail file and paint my therapist did was quite poor. It was messy and I ended up removing the polish when I got home later that day. To me, a file means they add a bit of shape to the nail but honestly, I didn't even feel the file touch my nails.
Thirdly, my therapist left out one of the treatments. When I asked her if she would be doing the last treatment she said again, "No that's not part of the deal". When I told her I was sure it was part of the Groupon deal she said sternly "it's not part of the deal, sorry" and walked me out of the treatment room.
When I met my friend in the relaxation room afterwards she mentioned that she received all 5 treatments and that the one I didn't receive was definitely included. I queried this with the girl at reception and she said yes, it should have been included and she was very apologetic. She booked me in a half hour later for another treatment, which I was very appreciative of. I had paid 105 for the voucher so, understandably, I wanted to get my monies worth.
Other the initial mishaps, I enjoyed the day and the afternoon tea was lovely. I would go back again but perhaps I would ask for a different therapist next time.
Excellent customer service and facilities - I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!!! A real treat.
Went here for a dinner with the family . The food was top class absolutely delicious. Staff were very friendly also
Great show by Nathan Carter. Bar services could be a little quicker.
Mostly a golf stay. Very impersonal. Breakfast tabled chipped. No great food selection. Would not return...definitely could not recommend this place.
Great deals for an overnight stay with spa and golf thrown in. Food great as always. Once a year treat and only 35 mins from Dublin or 60 mins to Kildare.
We stayed in one of the houses and they were very clean and cosy the biggest problem with them was you had to check out by 10 and if you have been drinking the night before it's a bit early. We were attending a birthday party that night and the Hotel has everything you could want Golf course, Spa and pool also 3 different places to eat. The bar staff service was very disappointing they could only handle one order at time and very slow but the finger food was beautiful.
Weird location if you're not a golfer! Very quiet when I visited. Hotel is spacious and was oddly empty. Restaurant wasn't operating and breakfast ran to order rather than buffet due to lack of other guests. Ok though. Rooms better on some floors than others. Mine on floor 1 had insufficient plug points and none near bed so my alarm was on opposite side of the room. Colleagues on other floors didn't have that issue.
Beautiful location for a wedding, good was great and the reception rooms were gorgeous.
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and great service what more can you ask for.
as always in knightsbrook the food and service was top class highly recommended
Service very poor for the price and mixing up orders.
Beautiful hotel great staff. Really enjoyed my stay. Would strongly recommend a visit.
Great spot to set up for touring the local sites of which there are plenty - good amenities and food only grip I would have is that service could be just a tad better
Very nice hotel, but was charged 220.00 for a double room with breakfast, purely because Christy Moore was performing on the 10th so they hike up the price. Do not think this is fair play
Excellent service at the knightsbrook hotel.well worth a visit .
I stayed at the Knighbrook 18/07/2020. I booked a one night stay, including dinner, and also booked a day spa package with afternoon tea as an additional treat. The spa was lovely, the staff were always attentive and professional. The level of cleanliness was outstanding. Check-in was fine, we waited a few minutes, no issues with that. It is to be expected. I signed the required documents and paid, got my key, clearly labeled room 212, booked a time slot for breakfast, and thanked the receptionist for her help. We went upstairs for afternoon tea. We were seated promptly, and the waitress explained the tables could not be set in advance due to the current restrictions. We waited at least 20 minutes for someone to come back and ask if we wanted tea/coffee. We ordered two small bottles of Prosecco as a treat, again we had a long wait for them to arrive. All in all, we were seated 50 minutes before our afternoon tea arrived.
We proceeded to the bar for drinks after as we wanted to relax on the terrace to be met with the sign saying only food and beverages purchased on the premises could be consumed there. It also displayed the charges for a glass or glasses with ice. I was so appalled; I took a picture of the signage. I booked fully aware of the current guidelines regarding time limitations and substantial meal requirements, which I am happy to adhere to. Choosing instead to bring a bottle of our favourite tipple to indulge in in the room. The charge for glasses and ice completely contradicts the image of a elegant luxury and modern sophistication you market yourselves as. Personally, I view it as exploitation at worst and it is definitely in bad taste.
We had two drinks in the bar and decided to grab our suitcases and get settled in the room. Off we go to room 212, we go in, only to find it is already occupied. Thankfully, only by the guest's bags and not them in person. Generally, you have a right to expect privacy in your hotel room as long as you are using the hotel room in a normal, responsible way. We are not living in general times and this breach in a complete contradiction to point 8 the hotel's COVID safety procedures, "Guest bedrooms cannot be accessed or serviced by our accommodation team during your stay following social distance guidelines." I don't have confidence that the guests in 212 were informed of the safety breach. My partner went to reception and we were upgraded to a golf view room as a result but the whole situation made me very uncomfortable.
Second time visiting this place,it is amazing, only let down this time was the food
Very good services, the stuff is very friendly, the food is brilliant!!!
Excellent. Had overnight stay and spa treatment and was very enjoyable. Food excellent also
Dirty hotel with smelly rooms and cleanliness with food prep was dodgy- the staff didn t solve these problems when asked.
The hotel was originally furnished nicely but now is beaten up. I don t think management has cared for the property.
The highlight of our visit was hearing another customer airing his grievances and exclaiming that it was the worst hotel he d ever stayed in when staff couldn t help with his very reasonable request. It truly was funny.
Booked an over night spa break for my Birthday and everything went through and then went to call about my spa treatments and they tell me that the spa is booked out? Had to cancel my whole booking and now I can't find another hotel with a spa at such late notice .
We had lunch at the Terrace Lounge. The burgers were bland, burnt and the driest we have ever had!! Food generally , clotted cream and scones were of poor quality. It was waste of money. Never will go there again!!
Stayed here we loved it beautiful hotel staff lovely and friendly and the food was lovely
Very friendly and accommodating after we had a CANCELED flight out of Dublin. Nice facility, great rooms and food. Thank you! Wish we had of had more time to enjoy more of the various accommodations.
One of the best hotel we came across in Ireland. Definitely i recommend to everyone to stay there and enjoin beautiful spa facilities too.
Lovely space. Staff seem friendly. Spa is very tranquil and relaxing.
Good value deal for golf and overnight. Course in excellent condition for October.
LOOKED AFTER EVERY WELL, STAFF EXCELLENT, WOULD CONSIDER STAYING AGAIN.
Lovely comfortable rooms, nice food and the staff are lovely
Terrible, avoid at all costs. No WiFi in rooms as advertised, WiFi in public spaces worse than useless, this is 2017! We reserved and paid for a twin room with midday checkout yet were given a room with only one bed and woken by housekeeping at our door at 10am the next morning asking us to checkout. During checkout reception staff acknowledged we didn't get the WiFi, twin beds or midday checkout our reservation specified but offered no recompense whatsoever.
Highly recommend this place the food accommodation and staff were excellent couldn't fault it at all
Went to a wedding here last week and the hotel just blow me away. The venue room was stunning. We stayed in the courtyard houses and they were amazing. So big and beds super comfy.
Very poor. Wrote to them without a response. Service poor. It had come highly recommended but there was a wedding on that weekendvandci am not sure if this affected everything. It's also in the middle of a housing estate of sorts
it was OK, good for short break without kids but not so good with kids. They have play room for children but not alot of toys in it.
Lovely hotel but reception supervisor , Laura was one of the rudest people I have ever met. Other than that everything was amazing . Other staff especially the restaurant staff were lovely.
Nice helpful staff, good food, very clean lovely spa.
Use the swimming pool with the kids always clean and staff are friendly. The pool is always a good temp for the kids unlike other local pools in Navan and Trim.
Upon arrival, the bathroom in our room smelled like sewage. We opened the windows and turned the fan up to try to air out the room. A staff member inspected the room but did not help to solve the smell. The air was on and the windows were open all night, and the smell was still coming from the bathroom in the morning. The cleanliness of the breakfast area was also a concern. Talking with other customers at the hotel, we were not the only unsatisfied patrons.
Loved this hotel , rooms fab staff so helpful will definitely be back .
Beautiful place to stay ,great staff very helpful, yummy food
Beautiful hotel with an amazing golf course and grounds. Every staff member is committed to sanitizing every thing as it is used. You feel very confident knowing they are looking after you. Food is excellent. Well worth a visit!
