I wanted to see the real Tuscany...up close. I was looking for a tour that focused on people, local products, and small groups. A trip with KM Zero Tours ticked every box we had and more. My husband and I are so thankful to Arianna and Alessio for creating KM Zero Tours so that visitors who don't know where to start in Tuscany can have an experience that will blow their minds. The best way I can explain how we feel about our trip was that it was joyful. We loved everyone we met, we were never rushed but experienced a lot, and we had so much fun with interactive elements while being wow'd at the stunning places we would visit!

I highly recommend KM Zero Tours. I wish I could give it 6 stars out of 5. The owners, Arianna and Alessio, are two of the most generous, caring, and REAL people we've ever met. When we first met them, I did not feel like a customer, I felt like a long-time friend. And by the end of time with them we felt like part of their family. Not only do they share themselves, they share their good friends - people that love and care for them and want to show us all a great time. Everything was direct and personal. As an example, when it was time to visit a winery, we did not tour a massive commercial winery - we visited a family vineyard where the owner and her family make wine in the cellar of their villa. We visited with matriarch of the villa, a woman who invited us to lunch at her dining table where she fed us her food, and served us her wine and her olive oil, made right there on her property.
The trip consisted of two visits each day to a point of interest in Tuscany, such as Sienna (my favorite), or San Gimignano (also my favorite), and in between the sightseeing we would visit their friends, who do cool things like cashmere goat farming, or truffle hunting, or pressing fresh olive oil during the harvest, or raising goats and making goat cheeses. One night we learned how to make bread in the Tuscan tradition (no salt). Another night it was a lesson on how to make pasta, followed by a dinner accompanied by a harpist and professional opera singer. At night they would return us to the centuries-old stone farm house of their friends who run a fantastic bed and breakfast and serve the best limoncello ever. On our last night they treated us to dinner at a friend s restaurant and we ate until I thought pasta was going to come out of my ears.
In short, their approach is exactly what we needed, and we think about our trip and Alessio and Arianna every single day. They changed our lives and the way we look at the world. I make pasta now (albeit I cheat and use a machine). I bake bread constantly (but I use salt). I demand more from my espresso, and I practically bathe in olive oil always checking the dates to makes sure it is fresh (which is bright green). I drink Chianti Classico because now I know that real Chianti Classico will have a black rooster on the label, and will be rich and fruity and delicious.
Jen and I cannot wait to go back and see them again, not only because we loved Tuscany, but because I cannot wait to visit our friends again.
We had such a fabulous experience in the Tuscany country side with Arianna and Alessio. Their enthusiasm was contagious which made our adventure even more exciting and interesting. Highly recommend having KMO tours take care of your holiday needs. The Olive Oil tour was FANTASTIC!
I've been dreaming of a trip to Tuscany for nearly a decade, and this vacation with Arianna and Alessio of KM Zero Tours was everything I hoped it would be and more! I can't imagine exploring Tuscany any other way.
During the 7-day tour, we learned to make bread, visited several wineries, a pecorino farm, a cashmere goat farm, olive grove, Italian spa and several local artisan workshops. Arianna and Alessio personally know all the farmers and artists, so honestly, I felt like I was being welcomed into their family.
Arianna and Alessio are incredibly knowledgeable of the area, and their passion for sharing the culture, traditions and history of Tuscany is evident. They are funny, easy to talk to and instantly make you feel you are part of their community. Our group was fortunate enough to get to spend all our time with this couple, and it was a joy getting to know them as they shared Tuscany with us.
I could go on and on about how amazing the trip was, and you should really experience it for yourself. Reach out to KM Zero Tours (just visit their website), and Arianna will help you set up your dream trip. You'll come back refreshed, with a full heart and changed for the better.
To put it simply, our experiences with Arianna and Alessio have been absolutely wonderful.
Our most recent trip with KM Zero Tours was a week-long trip in Tuscany. Arianna and Alessio s thoughtful and well-organized itinerary allowed us to meet wonderful family-operated wineries, truffle hunters, chefs, artisan cheesemakers, and a cashmere goat farm. We explored many well-known sites in Chianti, as well as many hidden gems of the region. The people and families with whom KM Zero works are all friendly and welcoming sharing homecooked meals with them felt like spending time with good friends.
Arianna and Alessio are fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. They find a great balance between sharing the history of the area and providing time for you to explore on your own.
KM Zero Tours attention to health and safety during the current COVID-19 situation was excellent. They provided us with comfortable (and fashionable) facemasks, plenty of hand sanitizer, and arranged for outdoor and socially distanced activities.
The value for money for our KM Zero experiences has been fantastic as well. We can hardly wait until the next time we can explore Italy with them!
Delightful. They found us the most wonderful special places to visit that a tourist would never find in a million years. It was entertaining and educational. I would absolutely use them again when we are back in Tuscany.
