In the test Klarna. One star is too much. I bought lenses with direct payment, and apparently ALL lens companies use Klarna as their payment engine, so I had no choice. And now, I suddenly get an email where they offer me my "annual report" (annual report). How on earth is that any of their business? And why are they collecting this data about me? An incredibly intrusive company with zero respect for personal integrity. And this is just the latest insult.
If you buy anything through their system, you are led through a maze of clicks that lead you to give them permission to autowithdraw from your account, so you are left with manually canceling this permission from your bank account. And remember, once a company that you do not trust has withdrawn something from your bank account, hell freeze over before you get that money back.
If any online retailer is reading, please take note. Anyone NOT using Klarna has a definite niche! There is a large Klarna-hating community out there, and we would really like to use any other company. Paypal. Direct pay. Anything!
Hates Klarna. Wish you could give zero stars. Have bought lenses with direct payment, and it was administered by Klarna. And now I get an email that my annual message is available on their website ..?!?! What do they have to do with my annual message ..? Clingy and privacy-infringing companies! And this is just the latest ... They make their "helpful" systems so that they are tempted to give them autogiro status, which you can then cancel manually. There is never an option where you only pay with a card without their involvement. Next time I buy something, I'll take the one that offers a payment service that is not Klarna! Wake up merchants, the one who lets us buy with Paypal or whatever, just not Klarna, has a huge market advantage!
