I love working at a place that is so loving from residents to co-workers!!

Food was so-so. Residents kept wandering into my room at all hours.I hated this place

Kingston Care Center is an incredible place of employment. The amount of positive growth and change happening in the facility made it easy to come to work everyday. They take pride in their quality of care and go above and beyond for their residents. Employees are well taken care of and participate in fun activities regularly. I would recommend Kingston to anyone seeking care for a loved one or to a friend or family member looking for a new place of employment.

Had a family member at Kingston for a little over three weeks, after a fall at home (nothing broken, thankfully!) and a (thankfully) short stint at Lutheran Hospital, a facility that was really lousy. But that's the subject of a different review. Anyway, Kingston was OUTSTANDING. The first few days there were under a flu restriction, meaning folks couldn't leave their rooms for meals in the dining room, which was understandable, so all the meals were delivered. A few of them weren't as hot as they could've been, but the staff did the best they could under the circumstances. Once the dining room opened up, the food quality and temperature rose precipitously. The general offering at each meal was pretty good, but they also had an a la carte menu if she wasn't in the mood for that. Meals were hot, delicious and fulfilling.

But what REALLY set Kingston apart was the high level of quality care, and the caring attitude of the nursing staff, the physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and general support staff. All of them were top notch. All of them were very respectful of the patients, and treated them with dignity and a respect for their independence. Never talking down, but always talking clearly (and sometimes loudly enough for the harder of hearing) and making sure everything was understood. They don't "seem" to care, they actually DO care. And it shows.

There are plenty of choices for rehab care in Fort Wayne. You could do a lot worse by not choosing Kingston, but I honestly don't know how you could do better by choosing another facility. Kingston is an EXCELLENT choice for rehab care, and I recommend it highly.

They do the best they can with the help they have.. A bit short handed at night. But caring people for the most part.. Don't let your loved ones die alone there! For the best care you need to be there with your loved ones

During my stay I worked with the occupational and physical therapists. They helped me restore my strength and balance as well as mental tests to make sure I could do everything I needed to when I got home. They are very good at their jobs and give excellent instructions. We even did car entering and exiting and they did a home visit to make sure I was safe!

The care, the compassion, keeping me informed with every treatment they did, medicine changes, changes with her physical & mental state and more. I could not be happier. And when she passed your kindness was very much appreciated. Thank you Kingston.

My mom is at Kingston, she has been there sense April 15, 2019. Most of the caregivers have failed to give mom the proper care. Then they try to justify poor care rather than fix the problem. I just talked to Shawn, one of the head nurses, and I am so frustrated! If you want proper care for your loved one don't send them to Kingston. Pastor Paino would be so upset.

I recently worked for 2 days at Kingston. The staff was so accommodating it made the job go much quicker than I thought. They were very focused on what was happening around them. It made me smile and I started thinking how wonderful the care giving staff is and that Kingston is very, very fortunate to have created such a wonderful team.

I have the pleasure of being able to work at Kingston Care Center of Fort Wayne on occasion. They have hired a new administrator that I think is excellent. She is warm and caring. She quickly addresses any issue or concern and finds a resolution. Anyone can tell that her heart is focused on the care and well-being on her residents and staff. Congratulations to Kingston for finding such a gem!

When I stayed at Kingston for rehab after my second stroke, I wished the rooms weren't so 'hospital-like', the therapy and medical staff were exellent! I enjoyed the food and food service. I enjoyed being able to either do my own thing or participate in activities. I'd go back for therpy again if I needed it again.

I arrived at Kingston in a wheelchair and not able to do most things without assistance. Three and a half weeks later I walked out with the assistance of a walker. I continued with outpatient therapy and am now not only able to walk independently. I am driving and working. The entire staff of physical, occupational and speech therapists at Kingston were wonderful. They are caring and excellent at what they do!

Loved every minute of the aqua therapy. Was treated very well at all times. Always recommend Kingston !!

The nursing staff was great.CNAs were overworked and short staffed. Long waits for simple care.Disinfection and cleanliness could be better.Double rooms small and cramped.

The building is welcoming and home-like. It is clean and the staff are very friendly. They have lots of activities like singers and musicians that bring joy to the residents. It is wonderful to go there and see all of the happy faces and know that the residents are so well taken care of.

I am totally appalled at the kind of service they provided to my Mother. The home staff lacks compassion and dignity. Failed to provided the medical attention needs. Residents were bathe by what room they where in no mater what day they that they got there,but wasn't bathe at all. Residents call the nurse with call button or sometimes even yell for a nurse to go to their room and there is no nurse around the resident may have to wait more than 1/2 hour if they get lucky before someone come to see what they need. Please by all means love your loved ones and stand up for their rights no matter where they are they can not defend themselves. Be an Advocate for seniors. File your complaints with Public Health. Too many ignorant people in this world. What goes around comes around, and one day they will be in their shoes. They don't even deserve one star but had to rate the facility . This place should be closed down or a change in administration, management along with nurses. Finally with the help of my Aunt got her transferred to a good home.

They seem to be very understanding and professional especially considering how hard it is to adapt your family member to a new environment. Thank you for your hard work.

Kingston is very unorganized and short staffed. Their scheduler is disrespectful and plays favoritisms to the younger employees. They want you to put your kids last, put them first and they aren t understanding!
