We went during the week. Best time to go as the lines were short. Most employees are nice. Though a few acted like they wanted to be somewhere else.

3 rides were out of service. Basically volcano area
It is not worth paying so much to go to this place, the staff is unfriendly and if you are Hispanic they treat you differently, I do not think to return to a place like this.
We had such a great time with family. We also went last year. We all decided winterfest is going to be a tradition for our family from now on.
Ah man!!! This is by Far my favorite place! Lots of walking lots of roller coasters, does have a water park.
8th straight season this year
We love KD!
Best time to go is during the week. Short lines. My 8 year old daughter loves it.
Scary things are great they do a great job. Definitely scarier than Busch Gardens
We had an amazing time during the halloween festivities. My boyfriend and I brought our baby and the staff(the one's dressed up) were cautious not to scare him, which I thought was sweet.
Its an amusement park, food prices are high, lines can be long but there is a lot to do and much fun to be had! Staff is kind and friendly, and have your safety in mind. The new ride, Twisted Timber is a great thrill! Well worth the wait we had to get on. The mac and cheese place was pretty good and the fact that they have soda stations to purchase a cold beverage on the go made my evening!
Because it was Halloween, they had public performances throughout the park And that was fun and entertaining to happen upon during our walks to and from attractions. The batgrooms were fairly clean as well!
Sucks... little punks trying to steal and pick fights
had alot of fun with friends and the carnivale parade was so fun
It was so cool but the lines are long i had to stand in a line for 45 minutes for a ride but is was cool
My son and I had both our phones stolen from the water park area. When we went to security, met two other families that also had phones taken. We had been using lockers on rides, but just went in wave pool for 10 minutes. Never recovered. Watch out!!!
Free places to visit amazing place for families always trying to better themselves.
On the expensive side for everything
Had a great time, but it's best to have the gold pass because the lines get in rediculously long
I get season passes here every year. Love spending the day at the water park. I especially love the Halloween Haunt. During the summer there are hour long waits for rides so try to go during the week if you can.
So cool. Did not get to see all of it. So we are going back:)
We went on a Monday. Very short lines for the water rides. Other rides they were short. Go when they are less people because time is money. Meal plan is the way to go. You eat every 90 mins and won't have to worry about spending 15 per dish and or eat. Surprisingly no rides were broken and the heat was barrable.
My family and I love Kings Dominion. We love that they have added Winter Fest this year.
Went here for my birthday and had an awesome time. Although some of the rides were down and we got stuck on the Eiffel Tower for about 45 minutes, it was still great.
Enjoyed getting on the rides that I was allowed to ride. It's embarrassing asked to get off a ride. Need to make rides for all body types.
I LOVE coming to king dominion. Althought the park can be SUPER crowded during the summer season, I usually go in september during the week the lines are quite short.
A great variety of different caliber rides and coasters.
Its a pretty good place to go for fun with exorbitantly high price for food
Enjoyed the place as I haven't been here for years. Was sad to see some rides gone but enjoyed the ones they replaced them with. Only downside was the one Avalanche cart I got that day must of had an oblong wheel or something because it jostled me into a bad headache. Otherwise my young children and my family loved it and will be going back.
Christmas part is my favorite. The kids Halloween isn't as well put together this year. On holidays or special occasions they run out of ice regularly. The self serve soda spots are covered in bees again this year which makes it difficult to get refills especially if you have a kid with you. They had been spraying them down but looks like they gave up on that.
One of the best deals for season passes! Got it down to $72 w/discounts and since we are a family of six and not related to any millionaire's we used their payment plan which is a major plus. Visited 1st time a couple days ago and we all loved the family attractions and Halloween mazes from 7-10pm. Very expensive for food but if you get the $30 food pass for the day you visit you can eat a meal every 90m which means we all ate twice throughout the day. Just buy one and share with your group! Only down side was the staff working the Auntie Anne and Candy Shop definitely did not want to be at work that day!! Not rude but definitely not helpful.
A great experience, fun for everyone but food is COMPLETELY overpriced
I loved it, It was my first time in this park and I really enjoyed the whole area; in special the Roller coasters.
It's perfect for the whole family.
AWESOME FUN & entertainment for the WHOLE FAMILY !!!
Nice place to come with the family. Food is very expensive, so either eat out of the park or get the all day dining pass. The haunt, that leaves a lot to be desired. I have been to many of the haunt, season Passholder for years, but over the past few years the haunt just isn't that good. I think the last "good" haunt was like 4 to 5 years ago. There aren't many "monsters" anywhere. There were few haunted houses/mazes. Just really went down. They need to put the"scare" back into the Haunt!
This place has lots of fun rides for those who like amusement parks. It's very similar to Carowinds
I visited Kings Dominion on 6/11 and there was a issue with our season passes. I spoke with Jason and Amanda who were extremely helpful and solved the issue. Thanks a million! Luckily we left before the power outage situation ..
This was the worst experience that I have ever had at an amusement park. I called the park earlier in the day asking which rides would be open. I was told
all rides but 3 would be open. We then made the 3 hour drive with a group of 5 people. Upon arriving to the park we paid 46 dollars each to get in and went to get in line on some rides, except this never happened. We were turned away from every ride we went to due to the weather even though there was no rain. It must be easy to close every attraction you promise to have and then still charge people. I then asked a individual at a gift shop where I could possibly speak to a manager to request a refund and was not only practically shooed away but was laughed at. As a business owner I do understand the want to make money but obviously you have long forgotten customer care. As well as quality over quantity.
They have great roller coasters, But some of the park needs to be updated
Absolutely breathtaking! Please go and check out our very own amusement park and it's definitely a winter wonderland the shows are amazing the characters are so realistic! PS make sure you bundle up!
The rides were good but every person on the staff were very lethargic. When you are waiting in line for an hour to ride a ride for 30 seconds the last thing you want to see is the person running the ride to be sluggishly moving around. The wait time for every line could have been cut in half if the slow ride people that worked there cared about the customers.
My kids like it. Should close later. Gotta get there early to make sure you can ride all the good rides.
Water park is closed and the Volcano ride is closed. The Dominator coaster closed while we were in line. The coaster started to smoke
Awesome and fun for everyone. My first time going but wow it was nice and food was delish.
Great place to go for a day and relax or get your blood pumping with the thrill coasters.
Fun amusement park for all ages, for the entire family and friends
Winterfest was great. The heaters throughout the park are perfect.
Rude employees. The park is dirty and old compared to others.
More then once I saw people with handicap passes being ignored at the bottom of the access elevators. I even brought the two ladies waiting at the elevator to the attendants attention. She told me ok then never went to help them as they sat at the bottom ringing the bell.
I used to love this park as a kid. It's sad the way it has declined. I doubt I will be going back anytime soon.
Like my experience there every time. Only wish food was a bit cheaper. Those fast lane season passes are a must but a bit expensive.
It is my first time coming to this place and I'm already planning on a second trip. I loved this place. It's got the best of both worlds, It's both a kid and adult friendly park. I strongly recommend this park to all families.
Overall fun day but most of the rides were down & had to wait 30 mins to pay a ridiculous amount of money for food. Employees all seem like they hate their jobs.
Water park and theme park all in 1! And for summer 2019, monster truck rides and attractions are FREE with admission!
We had a blast! And the price wasn't bad at all. Great fun for the entire family of all ages. We went on Easter Sunday and the lines were not bad at all. Thr roller coasters were all fun. I challenge everyone to ride the Intimidator 305!! You will glad that you did. So much fun!! We will definitely be returning.
Been 20 years since I've been....some of the decor the same, but still enjoyable for a day trip. Wasn't too crowded as I am guessing near end of season. Kids loved it!
Loved it so much. 2.5 hours away and went with season passes.
My sister is blind so she likes to use the handicap entrance because there's less stairs and less people crowding her. however upon trying to access multiple rides they denied her entrance because first aid marked over half of the large rides in the park meaning she wasn't allowed to ride them! she's only blind there's nothing else wrong with her other than the fact that she can't see so why on Earth is she not allowed to ride so many of the Park's big rides she was very disappointed and so was I
Great rides, clean park, nice staff. Can't go wrong with this park!!!
I've been going to Kings Dominion for over 20+ years. I was so much better when it was Paramount. Now, King Dominion just takes your money. Never fails half of the rides are down or the lines are so long, to where you are waiting 30+ minutes and that's on a slow day. The works go solo sssllloow. It's sad I remember when it used to be $3 to park. Now its $20. You walk by the game station. Years ago I would win so many games. That's how I started my stuff animal collection. Now, And the workers are just standing around. So expensive who can afford to play when you just spent almost $400 just for the family to get in.
Great rides - highly recommend Flight of Fear and the view from the swings
Winterfest was really cool. They were even blowing snow to enhance the experience.
Great theme park with several good roller coasters, a great attached waterpark, and fun non-coaster rides. Food options aren't great, but they have picnic areas in the parking lot. Good value on the season tickets. Be sure to not too miss the Halloween Haunt!
Awesome rollercoasters. That is the only reason for giving two stars. Park felt unwelcoming and dirty, not sure why. Seemed like most of the employees were not happy to be there. With the exception for the employees on Volcano, Grizzly and Twisted Timbers. Food was way over priced, paid $40+ for two bacon cheese burgers and fries with two drinks. The burgers were slightly warm and dried out and the cheese wasn't even melted hardly any bacon if that is what it was. The placed smelled like dirty mop water. Watched two employees clean the same group of tables six times each. Employees keep coming in the back door and doing the greasy shoe shuffle and leaving grease all over the floor. Watched several customers almost fall, an employee saw this and went and got a slippery floor sign and placed it nowhere near the area. Thought they were going to get a mop and cleaner to clean the area, instead went right back to cleaning the same tables that were still wet from the other employee. The cashier mumbled so low that my wife and I had no idea what they were saying, had lean over to see total on the register screen. It felt like we were bothering them to do their job. Very bad lighting when leaving the park at night, better pay attention or you will walk into something. I remember going here when I was younger and loved it, was looking forward to going back. Big disapointment. Seriously doubt we will back. Next time we are in the area we will just continue going to Busch Gardens.
Great place to spend a day with kids. If you like Great Adventure you'll enjoy King's Dominion.
Very great amusement park. Many great roller coasters such as intimidator 305 and twisted timbers.
