There are definitely fancier hotels in Jerusalem. There are places with better views, bigger rooms and more extravagant interior design. But you can t imitate or fabricate history. The king David s rooms and hallways are full of stories, and there s just no way to compete with that.

My wife and I just spent 10 glorious days at the King David. From the very first introduction until we left, the stay was amazing! Rarely can you enjoy pampering with a strong connection with history. The King David Hotel has a soul. It was a real pleasure interacting with all the professional staff and in particular the waiters in the dinning room. The morning buffet was extraordinary! We felt like royalty! We look forward to returning to Jerusalem and the King David next year.

Did not dine or stay here. Visited only. The staff appears to be meticulous. It is the staff that earned the extra star. I was told this was a spectacular beautiful hotel that I had to see. My expectations were high. It was "nice". Trump Plaza it is not, however the staff may be as accommodating, I cannot say for certain.
I expected Chateau Frontenac and got Marriott Courtyard lobby appearance with attentive staff.
It certainly is OLD and the jewelry in the shop windows expensive and beautiful.
"Spectacular? Nah...." Nice? Yes.

This cafe is like a little oasis in Jerusalem with trees and a view to the wall of the old city. It's quiet, apart from the humming of aircon and birds chirping.
The waiters are polite, but it would be nice with a smile.
We had pizza and Jerusalem artichokes with chestnuts and cream.
The pizza was a solid 7 out of 10 and the chestnuts surprised with a lot of flavour and abundance.
We were served bread first which was crunchy and soft in the middle - well done.

Very distinguished hotel, believes it knows what is good for you, and mostly gets it right, but unable or unwilling to customise. For example, very poor offering for vegan and gluten-free diets.

We were in the dairy restaurant on the terrace. The scenery is amazing, the dishes are beautiful. But we had to ask the waiters a few times to clear the table and take an order. Not very attentive service. The food was extremely mediocre. Does not fit the decor

Definitely an interesting place for a vacation. We did not like to stay in hotels in the country because price and quality are not related to each other. By the end we were tired of the Corona routine and I thought a pool and Jerusalem in a hotel with a lot of history could create an atmosphere like a holiday abroad. The days after the big holiday and before holidays and not on weekends probably also helped an amazing experience. The problem is just food. The kosher regime kills the experience but This probably happens in all hotels in the country.

Good hotel, clean, quality ...
The pool and services that the hotel provides are great.
Food fine, but not at the level I expected from such an expensive hotel ...
And really this hotel is not cheap, the King David Hotel is a hotel for people who want to feel Jerusalem at the highest level
