A classic Grand Hotel with a very solicitous staff that makes you feel very comfortable. We went for lunch and had a very pleasant time. Their menu could use a an upgrade especially considering the number of French guests, a little fancier selection would be nice.

Elegant, sophisticated, and historical. So much history here. The elegance and ambiance tell a story....but if the walls could talk in this magnificent hotel, I can only imagine the stories they would tell.

Perfection!

Perfection!
The best and most beautiful pool in the country, stunning views and above all, great people that take pride in their job. There is no other place like the King David. Rooms are spacious and elegant. The best part is their staff, especially at the dinning room. So many people who have worked in the hotel for decades, know every guest and look after you. Respect to Rashid, Yosef, Hani, Taleb and the rest of the team. you are all amazing people

Safest Room: one would have no excuse for not having a good night's sleep, given that he stayed in what is touted as the most secure hotel suite in the world.
The top suites in the King David Hotel are resistant to bullets, bombs and poison gas. The hotel, which has a historical significance, has windows in its top suites with bullet proof and rocket-proof glass. The air conditioning systems are gas-proof in case of an attack.
Security arrangements at the hotel :The hotel's exterior is made of concrete and steel. In addition, the windows in its top suites feature bulletproof and rocket-proof glass, while the air conditioning systems are gas-proof. Every member of the King David's staff is vetted by Israel s Shin Bet security service.
Even if the whole hotel blows up, the suite will remain in one piece. There might be a few broken pieces, but nothing will happen to Modi. On an average, a room at the King David costs $1,500 per night. Extrapolating that, the cost of just booking the hotel would be $165,000. So, in Indian rupees, the hotel would cost Rs 1.07 cr per night. There are several overheads which would be added to that, such as the cost of hiring additional security and the Israeli intelligence and security service.

This is Israel's most famous hotel. Hotel King David opened in 1931 and in the 1930s had no less than three royal houses in exile as guests: King Alfonso XIII of Spain, Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia and King George II of Greece.
The south wing of the hotel was the base of the British administration during the British term of office.
In 1946, the British headquarters were subjected to a bomb attack for which the Jewish terrorist movement Irgun claimed responsibility. A total of 91 people died in the bombing.

Excellent hotel with a long tradition in an ideal location directly opposite the entrance to the historic old city of Jerusalem. The very tastefully furnished rooms are spacious and some have a balcony and a spectacular view over the old town. The hotel has a very nice outdoor area with a terrace, restaurant and a large pool, which was unfortunately unheated, as well as a sunbathing area. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is very warm. The ideal place for a great stay in this very interesting city and for excursions into the unique landscape of Israel, to the archaeological sites, the Negev, the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee, the Bahai Gardens and much more.

I was particularly impressed by the drive from Ben Gurion Airport to Jerusalem via the gently sloping road at sunset, when the famous bright stones, from which most of Jerusalem's old buildings were built, turn golden in the setting sun. An unforgettable sight and a wonderful stay in September 2008.

This place sucks. If you want a king sized bed you will end up getting 2 twins put together. On top of that you are right next to a major freeway creating a ton of noise, graffiti all over the walls outside because you are on the outskirts of "new town". Not walking distance to most places unless you want to trek 1.5 miles or more. Staff is okay. Definitely your place if you want a synagogue and in house Rabi though...just my cup of tea.

Very impressive. Most international dignitaries stayed at this hotel while visiting Jerusalem in Israel. This hotel opened in 1931 is a landmark in Jerusalem outside of the walls of the Older City and Israeli modern history.

These walls are magical and filled with history, I imagine Simone de Beauvoir, President Obama, Oscar de la Renta standing in the same lobby I am right now and it feels right :)

I ordered pillows but I didn't get, the cleaners can't do their jobs correctly, food is terrible, I would not recommend to go to this hotel very bad. The pillows were dirty and has black and brown marks when I first got here. If they did their jobs correctly then I would give them 5 stars. There are a lot more hotels way better than this

What can be said of one of the universal milestones of the hotel ?. The King David is already part of the tormented history of this town.
For the rest, it is a magnificent place with excellent international cuisine.
