Kinetix Sports Club Review

I had contract on Tuesday 9/4 and Courts 1-4 were newly resurfaced and beautiful!! Loving seeing some of the new upgrades to the building with the new pros on board!

I didnt like it there. They gave me a 10 day free pass. But has a musty odor and the place didnt seem like they have air conditioning while exercising. Machines were not clean. Women locker room has water spots on ceiling.

I always like the small family owned vibe. But the place is in desperate need of updates. It s hard to justify a membership here when you can go elsewhere wear basic up keep of equipment is standard. Seems like no one cares that the place is falling apart. My favorite part of the club was the sauna in the men s locker room now it is broke and the way staff and management responds to issues like this I don t see it getting fixed anytime soon.

Nice. I hurt my foot so I left sooner. It feels better now.

The staff at Kinetix are the friendliest and most helpful in the area, especially Joanne at the front desk.

Unfortunately this club has progressively gotten worse. The Bookkeeper never shows up to work prior to 11am nor does she ever get back to customers. The Aerobics Coordinator or whatever she refers to herself as now, is grossly overpaid and only cares about making sure she has a number of classes to teach in order for her to continue to get that ridiculous hourly rate. Some of the front desk and all of the maintenance employees need to be babysat in order for them to do any kind of work whatsoever, it's a joke. The owner has put in charge absent, self entitled and lazy people in charge now. A huge mistake, the only hard working employees that worked 7 days a week and cared about that gym left and are now all over Retro Fitness for a reason. 85 percent of the members are at Retro as well. The only thing that is keeping Kinetix alive is tennis and that is barely doing it. The Tennis Director has no business background and is unprofessional. Who cancels a tennis lesson with a member to get their hair highlighted and then tells the member that's why he had to reschedule the lesson at the last minute!!!?? What a joke! Open up your eyes Owners, Even salt looks like sugar.

First day of pickleball there.. Place is nice and clean..If they put permanent tape lining for pickleball would have been great..will save time and energy to put on and take off. That was the only negative feature..other then that, nice clean place for indoor activities...

BEWARE - Extremely predatory contracts and business practices. No wonder there are 7 complaints about this company with the Better Business Bureau. While home from college in June 2006, I signed up for a "3 month student summer special", paid up front, and thought that was the end of it. Now, in August 2012, I've just been informed that this "special membership" has been renewing monthly for the past 5 years, totaling ~$3000, despite the fact that they are well aware that I have not been there since 2006. They made no attempt to contact me during the 5 year period to let me know that this was happening.

Scamming thousands from unsuspecting college kids. God bless the USA.

Went for a tennis tournament. They have a nice arrangement.

I signed up for the 10 day pass yesterday, just to check out the place, and to workout while my boyfriend was utilizing the tennis courts. The woman at the front desk reminded me every 2 minutes during my sign up, that they would be closing at 10, and announced it over the loudspeaker, perhaps 10 more times during my workout. At 9:45, I was watching the guys finish up their match when she rudely came up the stairs to tell me to get out, because she's not getting paid. She even turned the lights off on the tennis court while they were finishing playing. It was a terrible first impression. I will not be going back.

My mother and I just walked into Kinetix for the first time to inquire about a membership for her. We were barely greeted with a hello and stared at blankly when asked about how to join/ memberhship options. Staff at the front desk seemed less than enthusiastic to help, answer questions, or even really promote their gym at all to try and get a new member. My mother was even asked her age! We will never be going back to Kinetix and would never recommend to anyone looking to join.

It's a "Welcome-to-my-home" type of environment. Try it, you'll love it! Negative Nellies need not apply! Then again, EVERYONE is welcome there!!!

Surprised at all the negative posts.. this place has remained consistent since it's been open. The staff is super friendly and is family owned and more family focused. Yeah, i guess it could use some better cleaning, but that's any gym. Nothing that can't be fixed quickly!

Really nice place ...if you like to play tennis or racquetball ... was as clean as other fitness place's iv bin to... i was thare in the morning and place was empty so realy good place to have a nice peacefully work out

I m very surprised at some of these reviews!!! I signed up for a 10 day trail for me and my wife. After my trail was up we joined. I haven t had any issues with the staff or members. The members and staff and friendly. The machines are not new as La fitness but they work and you get the same results. The monthly membership is very far to me. They have more to me than la fitness. They have a lot of cross fit things that other gyms don t have. Workout tires are great indoor track is rubber.

I would recommend this gym to anyone. Thanks for welcoming me and my wife into your workout community

Pros: The classes are great! Lots of variety, lots of times. They also offer multiple discounts and incentives.

Cons: Some of the staff (not all) are a little rude. Dee at the front desk is wonderful and helpful, but the other woman at the desk (older, short gray hair) is one of the worst. She never even says hello when you walk in, unless the owner is there. If you ask her for help? God help you, she acts like your asking her for her first born (again, unless the owner is there, then she's sickening sweet). The owner has always been polite, and some of the trainers are nice.

Also, no one at this gym wipes down the machines after use (I know this is a problem at most gyms, but it is still gross), even the trainers! I've witnessed personal trainers instructing clients on machines, and then they get up and don't wipe off their sweat. Yuck!

If you are looking for a cheap gym, or are primarily interesting in classes, this is the gym for you! If you looking for customer service or cleanliness, not so much.

I like playing tennis here, the club is clean and brings lots of different levels to play.
