Small but clean rooms, the view of the room was not beautiful. We got a roof top view of another building. We checked in before the room was ready. We asked that we return at 15.00. When we returned, even though we had already checked in, we had to wait as long at reception as everyone else.

Overall, a nice hotel- clean rooms and good service. However, they don't seem to be prepared for the amount of guests they serve. We arrived around 11 p.m.for check-in. They had no record of one of our room reservations, even though we had paid ahead of time for 2 rooms. They did put us up in a nearby hotel- but that took about 2 hours and it was a big hassle. The elevators were an issue- there's only 3 and not attended by any staff, so the wait time was sometimes 10+ minutes during their "peak" times, which they give you a schedule for. That in itself should say alot. If you want breakfast, better get there early and not be in a hurry. When we went down as 7:30, there were at least 100 kids there and after 25 minutes of waiting, we left. Why the hotel thought booking 100 kids there for any weekend was a good idea, I'll never know. The room was nice and clean and housekeeping was quick and efficient. If I was basing this simply on the room, comfort and cleanliness, this would at least an 8, but the rest made this visit a 4 at best. I will not be staying here again.

check in is always disorganized when I check in to this particular Hilton property. Never have problems at other Hiltons. It took at least 25 minutes to get a key. And I had already checked in on the app. Key didn't work on 2nd night. Hotel employee persistently knocked on my door around midnight to offer something I hadn't requested. I know it's little stuff, but it adds up.

Nice location close to everything I needed but have mixed feelings about this hotel staff
Front desk at day of checking-in was quick but didn t have eye contact with me the whole time which is weird for me as front desk is the first impression anyone has at a hotel
The next morning I went to front desk again asking for a late check out and at front desk it was a lady named Leila, she was super rude and looked annoyed the whole time I was talking to her and didn t look at me throughout our conversation. When I asked for directions to go get breakfast she simply pointed with her fingers without raising her head or speaking a word. Still I thanked her and she ignored me

At breakfast the service was excellent. One of the guys named Alex provided top-botch five- star service and definitely deserves a shout out
Overall I recommend this hotel because of location and convenience but compared to other Hilton brands the service (especially front desk) has a lot to catch up on

Prime location for tourists looking to go to Times Square & access to all transit. Nice size rooms, fast elevators & good bell-hops that keep the lobby moving. The best part about this hotel is the staff. Very friendly & helpful and do their best to help make your stay as good as it can be. Some hotel staff seam to love making it hard for guests to check-in & do anything they can to make things difficult. Here it's the opposite. I've been here 6 times and each time they were just as good. Seamless check-in, quick & happy to help. Exactly what I'm expecting from hotel staff in this price range.

Surprisingly awful!

Surprisingly awful!
Dirty rooms (pubic hair in bathroom)
Inadequate elevators ( 20 minute wait the claustrophobic jamming people in)
Wrong rooms - we paid for high floor, Times Square rooms and didn't get them
Crowded lobby
Grumpy guests and disgruntled staff - no one here wants to be here!
Do not come here

My room is clean, quiet with a decent view, so normally I d leave a 3-4 star rating. But since it s a pandemic and their social distancing and hygiene rules are not enforced, I would not recommend that anyone stay here. In the few hours since my check-in, I ve seen people without masks wandering the hallways, people without masks in the jam-packed elevator, people without masks in BOTH staircases. If you want to avoid catching covid, then you really shouldn t stay here.

Spend 4 nights in the hotel and had a great time. Very convenient location and friendly staff. The street where the hotel is located on is a bit shady but overal it was a great experience. Alexandra from the front desk was really friendly and also Ara from the concierge desk. The last day with stored our bags with the belman who was amazing and I promised I will include him in the review (unfortunately I forgot his name)
It is a convenient hotel, friendly staff and good energy

Arrived after earliest check-in time to find that our room was not quite ready. According to the receptionist it was just getting the final inspection from the housekeeping supervisor and asked us to take a seat for 5 minutes. After approximately 10 minutes I went to check the status of our room to be told that it was now ready. We made our way to our room, to find it perfectly suitable for our needs. A little on the small side by a decent size shower room. The room is spotlessly clean and has everything you could need iron and ironing board, safe, fridge, hair dryer and lovely large beds that are so comfortable. We decided to have breakfast in the hotel restaurant on the first morning as we were booked to go on a guided tour and were meeting quite early. We waited no time hardly at all to be seated and was shown to our table by a very friendly member of staff. We opted for the all you could eat option for $17 each and were both very happy with the food we had. There was a selection of hot foods, cereals, fruit & yogurt, pastries, breads and drinks. The only negative was that no-one came to clear our table once while we were seated, so the table did start to get quite full. All in all though, the breakfast was ok. Location of the hotel isn't too bad. I'm not the fittest of people and have I managed to walk to Times Square and back without too much of an issue. There are plenty of places to get something to eat and souvenir shops galore, especially the cl you get to 5th Ave / Broadway. All in all the hotel is well located for all sightseeing.

I really have nothing positive to say about this hotel other than its location and the breakfast in the restaurant. We arrived at 11 PM with reservations we made 1.5 months in advance and NEITHER of our rooms were available, in fact 2 in our party had to stay at a different hotel because they didn t have the room available at all! The poor front desk staff was so frazzled by all the issues they were having but they tried to make it up to us by getting us breakfast coupons Which was cool... but when we got up to have breakfast at 7 A.m. there were 100 teenagers standing in line to go to breakfast! Luckily by the next day they had figured out only to let so many of them in at one time and they let us make reservations for the next day for breakfast. Don t even get me started on the elevators absolute atrocious. I waited at least 10 minutes for an elevator multiple times. Not really a big deal to me but I actually lost an Uber I had waited so long one time. If everything else was perfect in this hotel I would not saying it due to the elevator issues. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because the rooftop bar look pretty nice. Don t let it fool you it s a sleazy club. The music is so loud you can t hear yourself think you can t talk to anybody there s no barstools. My wife and I are professionals in our 30s and we like to go to swanky bars/clubs once in a while but this place was neither. Go if you want to grind on one another and get sloppy. The views were good though. Valet and porter service was good. We come each year in March and we will never stay in this hotel again.

I used too come here frequently up until one and a half years ago. Seems like they changed management. The breakfast options used too be great now the menu is limited especially in the omelet area. Its only one omelet option to choose from and it isnt vegan friendly. Please change the menu with more omelet options please and thanks.

The staff was friendly, hotel is relatively clean.what turned us off was lack of water in the morning. Hard to believe that in 2017 a prime location in midtown would lack water. Hotel says too many people take showers in the morning and hardly any water gets to upper floors. That's an ok excuse if it was 1930s, but it is hardly an excuse in 2017. Location is great though.

Nice enough clean room (if a bit small). The air con unit was really loud however and would switch istelf on at random points throughout the night. The view from the window was of an office block across the street too.

My friend and I had endured a particularly horrible day, but upon arrival to the hotel, our moods were significantly uplifted. The staff couldn't be more kind and helpful if they tried! Special thanks to Manny and Sonam for being absolutely wonderful throughout our stay.

Location is brilliant just a short walk to time square and right opposite port authority bus terminal so you can get bus or train anywhere. Our room was a standard room and just on the room alone I wouldn't call it a 4* hotel. Staff friendly with hellos and goodbye's and always around should you need help.

RUN AWAY!!! OH MY GOD. Where to start? This hotel is in extremely poor conditions. Very spooky .The location will make you feel like you are in the BRONX. The room was dirty and lacked essential things, the floor was under repair . Everything was just nasty. My fiancee and I did not fit in the bathroom and we are slim. I asked for a toothbrush and they didnt have any. Ive asked for wifi and you have to pay? No fridge, no microwave, just a whole mess . No pantry to buy anything etc. Stay at a motel 6 and I promise u it will be better

I forgot to get pics of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. Rooms were clean but due to COVID protocols, were not cleaned over the weekend. This was something they told us would happen beforehand. A lot of people were staying at the hotel so this caused a lot of elevator traffic (Max 2 people at a time). We loved our stay

Clean...but my only issue is the crowded elevator. In these covid time I don't want to be in the elevator with more than 2 people...everything was fine till we left.after letting 6 elevators go.we finally got one and the incident happened when we reach the 11th floor!mind you that we were coming from the 35th floor...

Room is super tiny. No space in bathroom for toiletries. Bedsheets put on backwards. House keeping not replenishing towels. Friendly staff at front desk. Can only get to top floor bar via half the elevators available. Bartenders in top floor bar seem to be okay with overserving guests as I witnessed one gentleman unable to walk or talk coherently as he was leaving, had to get his friend to hold him arm in arm to at least reach the elevator back down. Elevator wait times not horrible, but not great. Shower is good, drawers for clothing just enough room for a three day stay - but plenty closet space. Location is great, very close to awesome spots.

A great hotel with excellent service and staff with a super positive attitude and hospitality.
The rooms are small but well equipped, clean and satisfying.
The only drawback is also an advantage. the location. Midtown is an unpleasant neighborhood to walk around or do a lot of other activities for that matter, but you can easily get to Chelsea, to the Mt Peking District for a walk on the high-line as well as Lap Town.
We stayed here at the end of our stay in the city, so we also continued by bus from the terminal next to the hotel - the port authority

Lovely staff, very helpful just a shame last Friday night no guests informed they could not just go up to the roof bar as normal( DJ performance) but had to go down to reception with I'd just to get ok stamped on our hands to then be told we could then go to the rooftop bar! Maybe a little explanation to your customers is a slip explaining this that the cleaners could have left in our rooms would have been great. Room cleanliness & good location was fab. I know not everyone smokes but bit confused as a smoker first 3 nights out the front was fine then Friday night all smokers moved to the pavement? Either way customers still walking through our smoke so didant really get that one! I have to make a very special to Mathew who was always dealing with luggage or any problems with such professional pride, sense of humour, pleasure to see his smile everyday!!!! From the cheeky London smoker! Thank you for making my stay fabulous.

I had the room on the 27th floor and the view was breathtaking. Impeccable cleanliness. Amazing breakfast both sweet and savory buffet with a wide selection of different breads and desserts, soups, sauces, yogurt, cooked and raw fruit and vegetables, supplies .. Quantity to no end. You can take anything you want so many times for 22.50 per person: it's worth it all! Beautiful Lounge Bar on the 36th floor open in the evening: location 10 and praise

Unbelievably slow elevators and they restrict one elevator for the sky top bar to the pain of all the hotel guests. Room HVAC sounded like a plane taking off. Ice machine was pretty loud at 1.30 AM, this morning. Pretty rough neighbourhood (across from bus station) but I never felt unsafe. Room was small as expected, modern and clean. One bonus: the staff is friendly but it doesn't make up for the other inconveniences. Not really up to Doubletree standards.

The ONLY reason I'm giving this hotel more than one star is its location. super close to times square and an eight minute subway ride from central park, but I wouldn't stay here again. Reason number one being nothing in our room worked. I turned the TV on and all the stations said no information, or no signal. I picked up the phone to call the front desk, no dial tone. So, that didn't work either. Even the pen that was left in the room didn't write at all. All that stuff was pretty small, so no big deal at the time. But what REALLY infuriated me was the fact I asked three times for toilet paper at the front desk (had to call from my own cell phone) one of the times I even waked down, and nobody EVER BROUGHT MT TOILET PAPER!!! I had to track down a housekeeper and ask her to grab me some. And to me this is unacceptable. I don't recommend anyone stay here, because they clearly don't care about their guests whatsoever. oh.. and you have to pay to use their wifi. There are so many hotels in NYC don't waste your money on this one

It is close to times Square and the subway station. That street is a little odd there are many homeless people around. The hotel was clean and had 4 elevators so going up or down was not a problem. Room was decent, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean and had enough towels. The view of the city is incredible specially at night. Checking in was very slow. Only one receptionist. I waited about 20 minutes.

This hotel was fair...the down fall was it was directly across the street from the bus station, and call me a snob but the caliber of people who come from the bus station is not the best...BUT it is so close to Times Square so if your in town on pleasure it's a good one to stay at. The rooms are on the small side, that NYC for you, and fairly pricey considering...slightly dated common areas but overall very clean and that is so very important with hotel rooms...walls are kind of thin, could hear noise in hallways but not enough to keep you up ar night. Staff was very friendly and the on premise restaurant was good...infact the breakfast they served every morning was 5star!!! Tons of choices and super fresh and delicious. Might stay here again....depends.

House keeping are extremely noisy in the mornings,...

House keeping are extremely noisy in the mornings, so say goodbye to sleep ins. Due to the walls being paper thin, you'll hear banging from 7am till 2-3pm.
Also if you're on the higher floors, you'll hear the music from the bar until 1am.
The rooms are extremely small and there are long wait times for the lifts.
Room service charge $5 per order, which is ridiculous.
On the morning prior to check, we were hassled by house keeping and another staff member, several times and hours prior to checkout to see of we had left earlier so they could have the room for someone else, so didn't get a break from the disturbances throughout our whole stay.
PLEASE NOTE: This hotel charges an additional $45 USD on various taxes that will be listed during your checkout.
Very poor experience. Wouldn't stay here or in this area again.
Also I wouldn't rate this a 4 star hotel, More 3 star.

Nice hotel. Rooms aren't huge, but are good quality and have everything you need. Lots of floors, and you may wait a while for lift upto your floor but otherwise very nice hotel. There is a bar on very top floor with great views and outside area if not too cold, also has happy hour between 5 and 7pm midweek. 5-8 I believe over weekend? But wasn't there for that.

Great stay/location

Great stay/location

Just two blocks from Times Square, down the street from Port Authority Bus Terminal/Subway.

Room was nice, modern and cozy but the staff is the main reason why I give this hotel 5 stars. The front desk staff were very kind and outgoing but Carlos and Matthew were the best. Carlos and Matthew were very helpful and funny to talk to! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who s staying around the Times Square area.
