Horrible I got the $20 meal with mac n cheese that tasted like plastic, potato wedges that were hard and cold, mash potatoes and gravy was the best thing. Chicken was old, breading soggy and greasy, and last but not least the biscuits were dry and hard as rocks.Called and the management said for me to come back by and he'd replace everything, but my time and gas tank says otherwise. FYI he said the chicken can be warmed for two hours after being fried....

An interesting look into the past. Certainly KFC Chicken is iconic as is the Colonel, but to see where things began at a roadside inn and Cafe was a treat. Seeing the kitchen setup, the old office, it is worth the short trip from the highway. If you have the time, take it.

Every single time I go I ask for specific items and never get my order right or complete. They dont give you your mashed potatoes even after you ask they ALWAYS give flipping fries. The employees are rude.

Cool place to learn of KFC history. Our server was extra nice in getting us what we wanted. She had to go to store room to search for suvineir we wanted. She got back before or order was ready. Great service.

Literally the worst food I've ever eaten from this chain in any state. Stop by to see the museum, but be prepared to eat elsewhere. Store is usually dirty, food is cold or greasy, and the secret spices have been kept secret..... like not even in their breading.

Very friendly employees and fast food. Coming from Michigan this location had a much better taste like the old KFC I remember. Also lots of interesting artifacts and information about the business. For the price and to see all the extras it's worth the small drive off the expressway.

Amazing place, Delicious food, reasonable price. This place is a total value to the money. Visited while traveling to Smokey mountains from Chicago. It s a 3 mile detour from highway. Ordered almost all kinds of items available here. Everything is delicious. Enjoyed eating here. But, soda is a disappointment. Whether u take Pepsi, Mountain Dew, or any other beverage, we got only soda. We informed staff about it, but they are least interested in it. Apart from that everything is perfect. Must visit.

Haven't eaten there in years. Yes, this is the original. Lots of people love KFC. I drive by there often and see people taking selfies in front of the restaurant and in front of the official sign in front. I'm not slamming those who love KFC mind you. I'm just not a fan of the chicken there or any other KFC. But for those who want to eat there for historical reasons, rock on. Enjoy and take lots of pics.

Worst service and food I have ever had at KFC/Taco Bell ever. We ordered 2 buckets of chicken to go. When we got home, the breading on the chicken was uncooked and the chicken was bleeding. We took pictures of it and gave it to the local health dept. Service and food hasn't improved since this. Although, they do have some new employees. *Update* after all of this, I went back to see if things have changed... Service is slow and they do not even put all of the ingredients in the taco Bell orders... Simply awful.

A real iconic spot while travelling the scenic route Hwy-25. Wasn't near meal time but we simply had to get something from where it all began. I was very curious how the chicken would taste......and YES it tastes exactly the same as at any other KFC in the country. Even out of country, we're from Canada! It's a picture memory to hold on for ever.

Just moved to Corbin out of the hand full of times I been there they left out stuff a couple times. With not being able to go in with all that's going on it's usually a 10+ minute wait in drive thru at times. First time ordered a family meal, got it home and no biscuits. Didn't bother going back. On my next visit they left out their overpriced small mashed potatoes. $2.50 for probably 50 cents(if that) worth of potatoes? Luckily I checked order before leaving but I had to wait in the drive thru for a while to get them.

How curious, precisely here in the city of kentucky where this great chicken company was born and founded, I find a restaurant that offers a buffet menu "for only 8 dollars a wonder that seems that I would never have imagined and that is that every Penny of the 8 dollars you pay are worth it, from the ice cream machine, the drinks, the different types of chicken and desserts all at your disposal nothing is missing from the buffet, apart from the fact that the place is decorated with the history of the founder The company is quite unique in its design and interiors.

It's a neat stop if you are touring around the area. Showcased vintage memorabilia representative of the original KFC, such as cash registers and kitchen appliances. Other than that, the food wasn't anything special. Chicken was too greasy for my taste and the coleslaw was bland. I get it that it is a fast food chain, but I expected more since this is the original KFC.

Great chicken meal. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. This is the original KFC where Colonel Sanders started his first business. The tour through the museum parts was very interesting. Great piece of history to see. So very glad we took the extra time to stop here. The fried chicken and vegetables were awesome and the KFC staff were friendly and efficient. We saw a lot of historical memorabilia on display here.

Very disappointed. It's basically a bland KFC restaurant with some displays. Half of the displayed items were in the dining room which is awkward. I don't want to wander around a KFC dining room trying to look at the displays next to people eating. It would of made more sense to keep the food and 'museum' displays separately.

So I drive across the country and thought it'd be cool to stop by the very first KFC ever, thinking it'd be a great attraction. Aside from a few Instagram worthy pictures, I found the entire experience highly underwhelming. The place consists of a few memorabilia, a miniature model of the neighborhood, and a supposedly original Sanders outfit. The food really was fantastic though, but hardly worth the detour on a road trip, unless you're big of novelty historical monuments.
