We used the drive-thru and the service was extremely slow. Only 1 car ahead of us and we sat there 20 minutes. When we finally got to pull up the girl at the window was rude. We waited another 10 minutes and our food finally came. She gave it to us and just closed the window. No way to treat customers

We arrive at 8:20 and there were atleast 5 staff working. There was approximately 6 - 8 customers while we were there. However - only ONE staff member was taking order and she was also filling ALL orders. When I attempted to fill my drink with tea, I found the tea dispenser at the drink station empty. I returned to the counter to request tea and although two staff members were staninding behind the cooking equipment talking - neither offered to help me. When I went to refill my tea - I was told ALL the tea had been poured out in order to clean the containers. I felt it completely inappropriate to dispense of all tea when the restaurant still had customers and the drive through was still open. Also - having one staff member take orders and the fill them seemed like inappropriate work sharing and caused customers additional wait time.

The chicken was very good but the mashed potatoes presented as poorly prepared instant potatoes. The value for three people was very good

The small museum is unique and our 10 year old niece truly enjoyed it.

Fabulous place to learn about Mr Sanders. Very cool place, lots of history from how it all began. We really enjoyed our visit here, and made a special trip just to see it. The food was delicious, and the history was awesome. There were replicas of the kitchen, bedroom, the original sign that was once was on the highway

Seems like everytime we go there they get our order wrong...i ask for mashed potatoes they give me french fries ...if you make the mistake of not checking your order befor u pull out of drive through its a pain to half to go back through line because they cant get order right ..best to always check order to make sure its right...sometimes i have noticed they dont seem to like it if you speak up and tell them your orders wrong and they half to correct it.. but hey when you order what you want and pay for it you want what you paid for....and right now its a pain going through the drive through anyway with all the work there doing there,.but i love there food...just wish they could get our order right the last 3 times its been wrong

The birthplace of KFC. Nifty museum adjacent to the modern KFC. You can see a drawing of what the original restaurant and Motel looked like as well as artifacts from the original rooms and kitchen. The chicken seems to always be dry at this l9cation, but otherwise, it is all good.

It pains me to say it but this, the original KFC, is the worst KFC I have ever eaten at. They don't actually know how to do extra crispy. They ignore whether you are eating in or getting it to go. And the number of disappointed people I saw in my short time there was incredible.

Drive thru was a bit slow, this place is constantly jammed up, it's the original KFC after all. Food sometimes at night tastes like it may be as old. Overall, great between noon and 6 p.m. can't beat it!

The staff was so nice! The food was really good! Dinning area was clean and kept looking nice!
They have alot of memorabilia and actual room displays! It's really neat to see! They have a section were you can eat in the old cafe.
We made this a side stop to split up our 18 hr road trip and it was a good choice!

Had to give 4 due to the fact that their parking lot is JACKED UP right now and I even swore there was NO WAY that they were opened for business and that was DIRECTLY IN FRONT of the restaurant ..I was afraid to pull in but my ex husband was driving so we did and the order was fresh, correct, and the price was awesome!

Terrible staff and service.

Terrible staff and service.
I stood at the counter for 20 minutes, and no one even acknowledged that I was there. No one said "hello". There was one girl working at the counter and at least 4 other employees there just standing around doing nothing. I didn't get any forks and knives with my to go order. KFC should do a better job managing this place since this is supposed to be where it all started.

Was on a road trip back home and stopped by here to check out history of KFC. Loved the historical items about Sanders but the place really needs a makeover. Did not feel welcomed in the slightest. Locals stared at me the entire time. I was expecting something along the lines of an actual museum and it's nothing special. To see some of the historical areas you have to be willing to go around people that are eating. Which makes things extremely awkward. It's a nomral KFC with a bunch of greasy faced teenagers running it with zero care to the history around it.

I don't know if ever single employee is on their first day or what, but even the manager was pointedly turning his back to customers so he wouldn't have to deal with them. 20 minutes for tenders and the potato wedges were rock solid. Not a good night for the Original Sanders Cafe

Discriminated against me because I was in a wheelchair. Yup, I got passed over 6 times in favor of serving the people behind me. What really gets me is the people behind me had no scruples in passing me up as well.

I started going to the Colonels in Corbin, back in the 70's. Been a huge fan... Until now!

Tonight I went to the local unit on Little Creek Rd. In Norfolk, Va. I got the 2-piece, wing and thigh. The surface of the chicken was soft and mushy...Not the crispy chicken I used to get. And, the 13 herbs and spices were nowhere to be found. It was tasteless. A huge disappointment. I'm through with the Colonel!

Not a bad place to stop if you want KFC for a meal and also a little history lesson. there are many artifacts from the life and times of the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Only about 10 minute off the freeway. Staff was pleasant.

This is the best kfc I have ever eaten at and the service is great but the customers have all been eating lead paint for most of their lives. There were about 4 people ahead of me the first woman was complaining at how hot the chicken was....I m being serious and the second lady wanted chic-fil-a sauce for her food and couldn t figure out she was at kfc until about 3 different people told her at this point I walked out and drove through the drive thru to get my food.

Food could have been fresher. Staff definitely needs to be more friendly. This is not one of those Appalachian Mountain redneck restaurants, this is the birth place of KFC. So expect and respect lots of visitors from all over the world.
