Frankly, don't waste your time. This is an organization of older folks that don't have a job or looking for one. If your an entrepreneur beware you'll find nothing of value. It's anything but an executive networking group and anyone that's successful they desperately latch onto like a baby to a nipple.
When I first moved to Atlanta from Seattle I attended Kettering Executive Network and a selective few interesting folks. The first thing I noticed were that it's an older crowd but was more representative of mid managers that lacked skills and any record of success. Second thing I noticed were lots of khakis and poorly fitting blue blazers....a group of men and women that are completely out of touch with the new economy.
The board members pathetically begged me to join and become part of the board. Their desperation to add younger, well educated executives or entrepreneurs was apparent. If you look at their board it constitutes mostly older folks that lack any real executive experience. The President doesn't technically even qualify as an executive based on Ketterings own entry criteria. It's really a social club for the unemployed.
Unfortunately, I caught Kettering selling my PII or private information to their advertisers which is explicitly against the law which resulted in being investigated and in the process of losing their non profit status. Pathetic.
