Kudos to Technicians Joey and Brian. They quickly cleared out the kitchen drain line and strapped the line to improve water flow. Super customer service and went out of their way to be helpful.

these guys do good work. not inexpensive, however, have had a number of tasks performed, and they ve never mined for additional unnecessary work, never suggested additional work that didn t seem warranted. seems ok to trust their recommended solutions, which to me, based upon my inability to do the work myself, seems valuable.

Kesterson is a great company. They have done reliable work on two homes for me over the years. Easy to work with and schedule, and their guys are professional, courteous, and relatively prompt. Mostly recently, I had a job required them to come out multiple times due to delays in receiving parts (on my end) and they did not charge me for the extra visits. They've also given me solid advice on how to proceed with various issues like whether to repair or get a new unit. They have my highest recommendation.

The techs were great, - polite efficient and helpful on their initial visit but my problem is with the office. It took 2 weeks to get a fairly simple proposal for some additional work and then multiple calls and email to clarify an item. I never did get an answer or return call and the person answering the phone made me feel like an inconvenience. I ultimately called another company, received an estimate in 48 hours, scheduled the work and satisfied with the results and the better price.

I have lived in Alexandria for over 25 years and have been a customer of Kesterson's throughout the years. Recently, they installed a hot water heater in my home that was significantly dented. I called them immediately to express concern and six weeks (and over ten phone calls) later, I have yet to hear back from the owner, as requested. I have spoken with the manager several times, and he has handled this situation very poorly. The best thing about Kesterson Plumbing that I can report is the wonderful woman named Blair Armstrong who answers the phone. She is kind and professional and has been the only person at Kesterson Plumbing to be responsive. I hope they know what a great employee they have and are rewarding her for her excellent service.

I waited 3 hours and never got a call back. Very frustrating when you're exhausted, have a very sick kid and need a functioning toilet! Called them three times. Now it's 11:00pm and have to find another plumber.

We had a clogged toilet and called Kesterson after 5pm. Their answering service was very nice, professional, and helpful, and put our request in as an emergency. Ben was at our door within half an hour. He was friendly, professional, and great at his job. He wore a mask the entire time, gave us some tips on avoiding the problem in the future, and solved our problem very competently. We will definitely use their services again when needed.

Couldn't get them to do the job

Team walked in on Monday afternoon and cancelled work for the day. Came in on Tuesday, did minimal work, left gas lines loose, didn't seal up holes to the outside, left tools, left the old water heater that they were supposed to take with them and trash everywhere. I had to dispute the final payment in order to get them to come back. By Friday they picked up the old water heater and abandoned tools but still have to finish the detail work. My recommendation - If you give a deposit and have a second payment at the end of the project, freeze the card until they finish the job so they cant pull the money until the work is done.

I had a water line leak and Kesterson came out within 15 minutes to meet with me and the water company. Polite, knowledgeable and extremely helpful with water company. Thank you, Steve.

My sewer backed up. Kesterson charged a very reasonable flat rate to snake it out, regardless of how long it took. The plumber they sent did a great job, wore a mask and was very professional. It ended up taking about 2 and a half hours. The blockage was 75 to 85 feet out.

i've used Kesterson for almost 20 years. Some of their guys are not too sharp others are OK. They are decent and reputable

Kesterson does a decent job on the plumbing itself - Ben s work is especially good.
However, overall communication is laborious and slow, non-plumbing work (rough landscaping repair, carpentry, callbacks for missed detail) is sloppy, and attention to detail is almost nonexistent.
Use KP&H for just your plumbing work, but pay someone else to do all the repair/replace work to put your house back in order.

These guys are awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In a time of crisis -- a broken sewer line on my property -- they went above and beyond to get it fixed. Thanks Jotis, Roger, Marco and Scott for all that you've done for my family to get this problem fixed once and for all.

Scott did a great job at fixing our drainage issues in our kitchen sink and tub. Very personable! Would recommend him to anyone.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! Do yourself a favor and call this plumber when you need one.

Our situation:

A pipe burst in our house, I called three plumbers that were quoting "emergency" premiums, even though I explained I didn't need someone out ASAP and the water was off, so it wasn't an emergency. I called Kesterson Plumbing and they told me someone would be out in the afternoon or evening, depending on other projects---Dan arrives early ( before noon) and immediately tackles our problem. He attempts the most cost effective, least damaging route to get to the pipe and leaves our house spotless. He explains the whole process to me at the end and goes through everything he did, also mentioning some preventative measures we can take to protect against this happening again. Dan is obviously a master tradesman and a complete professional. The total bill was less than the other plumbers were charging for their "emergency" fee. Bottom line: Master tradesman and fair prices, something that is hard to find. Thanks Dan and you will continue to have our business Kesterson Plumbing!
