Just a quick little experience here...

I needed to buy a micro-screwdriver set to get a part out of my computer. After seeing they only had full sets that cost upwards of 30 dollars, I was disappointed that I would have to spend a pretty penny just for one job. They offered to lend me a micro-screwdriver for my uses, and even told me I could keep it if I desired. Truly nice people here. A+ Customer service!

I took my first PC build in to update the bios. Not only did they do the upgrade but they also fixed the rat nest of wires on the inside. Same day pickup! Very helpful and they knew what they are doing. They pointed out issues with my tower without talking down to me. I will definitely take my PC in for any hardware updates that I may need. A+++++

They rip veterans off..Do not go to these people. My church was paying them to fix my computer instead they said there was a short in my computer and said they couldn't fix it. So they got our Bishop to buy another computer from them that is nothing but a piece of junk. So I'm still not able to support myself. Thanks for nothing.

Replaced a touch screen for my laptop (broke after 4 years), screen broke again in under a year and they also broke the webcam in the process. Nice small business and did timely work, but would not visit again.

Prices were high ($50 for an hp laptop power cord), but they had what I needed in a pinch and everyone I spoke with was knowledgeable and courteous.

I have used KYTrade for computer repairs on two occasions and been 100% satisfied both times with the quality of the service, the speed of the repair, and the price. The first time they quickly brought my main desktop computer back to life by replacing the hard drive and salvaging all my important work files. They were a lifesaver! The second they took a crippled hard drive from my laptop and managed to again save all the data from loss, including priceless family photos. They spent far more time recovering this data than they charged me for. I would have been glad to pay much more, but their price was extremely reasonable. I give KyTrade my highest recommendation.

Absolutely the best retail computer experience you could imagine. Hablas Espanol? Perfecto! The woman is sweet and takes care of you and the man is direct and honest with you. They might not be absolute cheapest in town but I'll gladly pay another 5% for their service. I've been going to this Lexington institution for years, you're missing out.

I took my computer to them because they were the closest to campus. My PC wouldn't boot up, so they took it apart and said they tested all the parts and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. They then proceeded to try to charge me over $70 for the "diagnostic" they did. My PC then quit working less than two weeks later. I went to Computers Plus Repair next and they told me what the problem was in less than 3 mins and didn't charge me a dime. I will never go back to these guys again.

Bought a part offline that was missing a screw. Went to them to see if they had any and not only did the owner provide me with the part needed, he also warned me of problems I might face and ways to avoid them. He also gave me a small screwdriver and refused to accept any money. They're here to service the community and they're absolutely worthy of business.

Brought computer in for repair on 15th of Jan. Was told it would be diagnosed on the 16th. Came back on 18th and was told it had not been looked at but would be diagnosed on the 19th. Had not heard from them so went back on 23rd and has told it had just been diagnosed and repaired. A week later. Was also told it was going to cost me $150 even though their contract states that after diagnosis the customer would be notified with an estimate of repair costs prior to work being performed. Breach of contract by the business. Will NEVER use them again

Walked in just to see what they had. They were trying to sell an Nvidia GTX 1050 that had been opened for $175 (the same price as a brand new one). I might be jumping the gun on giving them a 1 star, but selling used parts for full retail price is a big red flag for me.

Went to replace my hardrive and they are super overpriced 100 dollars with the student discount for the labor alone! And on top of that I paid 70 dollars for A less quality hardrive then I had before oh it gets better then when I get home I discover they cheated me and didn't even give me the one I paid for!! Took forever to call I had to call them days later to even know if it was ready! WOULD NOT GO HERE!

Many years ago, my computer was stolen, wiped clean and recovered. I had years of personal writing lost. One of my students recommended Kentucky Trade Computer Services. Everyone else had told me that my information was lost forever. KY Trade Computer found my information.

Then, a few years later, my computer went on the fritz. They saved it.

Over the years, these folks have given me advice on buying computers and computer equipment -- whether or not I've ended up buying from them.

I bought a cheap second-hand computer from them for emergency use and they replaced the charger for me twice without charge.

I've been shown how to do things to protect my computer; advised against things that sound good, but are just money spent on something I could get for free; advised to purchase something that was cheaper than what I thought I needed, but was actually what I really needed. I once took in a computer that was a brand notorious for problems -- especially melted motherboards. I was told I could replace it, but that it would just burn out again, or I could put that money toward a new computer and was actually advised to purchase a brand of computer that they don't sell. They've taken me back in the shop to see what they were doing to my computer (and to point out the sheer number of computers in their shop from that particular brand in with fried motherboards).

I also once too a friend there to purchase a computer. He was older and money wasn't an issue for him. He said he wanted the best computer -- and literally told them that price didn't matter. Instead of just setting him up with their most expensive computer, they asked him what he wanted to do on the laptop. They could have set him up with an expensive gamer model, but instead, when they learned he just wanted to email, surf the net, maybe store some photos, they set him up with a fairly inexpensive model.

I feel like family there. I would recommend them to anyone, any time for anything computer-tech-ish. I trust them absolutely.

Lots of cool things at this place. If you're looking for a very hard to find part and like me are too impatient to wait on it to ship, this is the place for you, but bring your gold card, cuz you are definitely going to need it. You pay for the convenience at this place for sure. I've never seen a computer store be more expensive than this place. Basically, unless you are desperate for the part right then and now, order on line or find it somewhere else. This place is far too expensive.

Went in today because my computer stopped I wasn't sure if it was a power supply issue brought it in their everyone was very nice and helpful my PC back in one day and it only cost me $75 to get it fixed. It was working like brand new recommend

The best computer store in Lexington. They have the items the others don't carry. The owners help everyone. You can get them to do repairs or you can work on a machine right there.

Great staff and great service. They are friendly and Knowledgeable. I am a Computer tech myself. Many years ago I would drop in to buy parts and they helped me with any questions I had at the time. I was a student with questions and they had answers. Freddy the owner is very friendly and courteous. He often is there helping and greeting his clients with his staff.
