One of three state owned resort parks in the lakes area and I think this one is the best. The lodge rooms could use some updates, but overall the facility isn t bad. The restaurant has a good view of the lake. The prices tend to go up in the summer, but sometimes they ll offer packages at a decent rate.

My family has had our family reunion at the Kentucky Dam Village for over 30 years and counting. Every time we are here we enjoy clean well keep rooms, comfortable beds, and gorgeous views. Also all the rooms and cottages are an easy walk from Kentucky Lake. Thank you for all the wonderful years and the years to come. Walker Family

The cabins are a nice size and in a nice location. The major problem was mice. The staff seems to be aware of this problem as they provide many traps, but we saw 3 mice and way too much mouse poop. I would only stay here again if they got that problem under control.

One night in 1 bedroom cabin. Poorly maintained inside & out. May have been remodeled in last year, but if not maintained, it really shows. Seems to me, that park is just to big with too many cabins and other facilities to maintain properly (probably under-staffed, and under-budgeted). Would recommend nearby Lake Barkley State Park Resort, as a State Park Resort alternative.

Cabins were nice. We previewed a couple after being given a one hour key access. They were affordable in the off season and very cozy. The trails by the water were nice, and we saw some wildlife like jumping fish and herons. Staff was friendly and informative.

The rooms and lobby were all newly renovated. The pool was very clean and the dock was in good shape. The kids were out of the pool and quiet at sunset. Housekeeping and froont desk were kind and attentive. Nice buffet in restaurant from 7am to 9pm.

Cottages are in a dark and secluded place. They need some updating. But we still had a good time just getting out of the house and doing something different. The whole Kentucky Lake, Barkley Lake and LBL area is neat and tons of things to do. Would recommend.

Family Reunion Great Success at Kentucky Dam Village
Our family just held a small multi-clan family reunion at Kentucky Dam Village resort in Gilbersville, Kentucky, and everything from check-in to checkout was great!

The staff at the desk were efficient and exuded Southern Hospitality. A request for a different room was handled well and we were quite satisfied with or accommodations. The room was clean and comfortable and stocked with all the amenities you would expect to be available.

The lodge lobby is large and is great for family gatherings and activities like chess & checkers, cards & board games, etc.

The swimming pool, just off the lobby area, is a nice size and there is plenty of pool furniture and the pool is well maintained and clean. The kiddy pool was unfortunately out of order hope that can be repaired soon.

The restaurant is large and the food is really good. There is a changing buffet line available daily as well as menu service. The wait staff are all really friendly and helpful and efficient. The only complaint we had during our entire stay was the the lobby and restaurant were quite chilly it was mid-June so this may not be a problem in July and August! I suggest bringing a long sleeved shirt or lightweight sweater just in case.

The families at our reunion all agreed to hold our future gatherings at Kentucky Dam Village. We are already looking forward to next year s gathering!

I went to kentucky dam village green for a baby shower of one of my friends. The place was very nice and a great place to have a baby shower or any kind of event. I also found it pretty easy they had signs up on where to go.

We checked into a one bedroom cottage on 7/8/15 and stayed one night. It was ruff looking on the outside and the inside was ok. The kitchen cabinets were ruff looking inside, we swated bugs continuosly and in the morning we found mice had gotten into our bread. My wife called the sweet ladys at the front desk Tammy and Kathy and asked if they could move us to another cabin and they did. They put us in a 2 beedroom and it was very nice. I suggest to get at least a 2 bedrom or 3 bedroom they are very nice. Enjoyed our week stay after that. It is a great place to go.

Fine.
