Kentucky Dam Village SRP Reviews

My husband and i checked in for 2 nites over new year weekend. Everyone was very friendly and our accomodations appeared clean....i honestly thought i had dreams of bugs crawling on me. And, thinking i was suffering from dry skin from the dry heat, i became very itchy thru the nite. Well....apparently i wasn't dreaming. On our 3 hour drive home i started getting itchy, burning whelps forming over my body. The next day I went to the dermatologist to confirm what they were. BED BUG bites! I called and spoke with the Administrator whom was very apologetic and politely refunded our room stay. And, he forwarded paperwork to file w the State for reimbursement of my doctor visit $60 copay and $60 steroid prescription which can take 3 to 6 months if they choose to reimburse me. Hopefully, i haven't brought any of the bed bugs home with us. Beautiful area but we will never stay at the Village again.

The conference center was clean easy to find. The staff was very helpful during our event.

On our recent stay, the cottage was comfortable, the staff was friendly, beautiful park and family fun experiences.

Great food and a very friendly staff. It has an absolutely beautiful view of the lake and a nice lounge area upstairs. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is because it was so cold in there we cut the meal short and left. Didn't think we would need long sleeves in August!

There for the Polar Plunge. Lots of support from the staff

The salad bar is great, food was served hot and fast amd prive is fair.

Visited the beach and was not impressed, we honestly preferred dealing with the pebbles at our resort to swim.

Beautiful setting, golf course, main had great views and a great restaurant. Would stay here again.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin. It was comfortable & clean.

I have stayed in a Lodge room previously, but my most recent stay was in a cottage. It was perfect for our group.

I rode the ky dam trail at the stables. One of the best trails in the lbl area.

They allowed our dog to stay and added a mini fridge to the room because we needed one. We weren't always able to park in front of our room. The room had a balcony that overlooked the marina.

A fun place to stay. Nice lodges and cabins. Very relaxing.

Facilities are too spread out, without walking trails connection. Pool close at dawn. Great location for private boating.

Beautiful lake, great fishing! The view from the lodge is breathtaking. Lots of walkways to enjoy the view during your morning walk or run. Don't miss the breakfast buffet at harbor lights restaurant at the lodge.....it's delicious!

Pretty fun, other than the fact that the beach was covered in rocks.

The facility was nice. The staff was courteous and very helpful.

Rooms ok, slight mildew smell throughout executive cabin. Air conditioning vents cannot be closed so downstairs is cold while upstairs is hot. Housekeeping truck came once at 8:00 am, knocked, and did not come back. Kitchens have dishes, pots, pans, etc but very sparse. Never could get our card key to work on the front door. Very spacious, though.

The park was clean and felt safe. Bathrooms and shower were clean. The marina and boat rentals were awesome. Hiking trails were not great but enjoyable. Watch out for ticks.

Great buffet fresh salad bar and fresh veggies available on hot food bar. Yum!

Such a beautiful room that my daughter and I got! It was the last minute decision on the way home from a trip, and when we woke up and got the view we knew to come back very soon! Would definitely recommend it to others!

Went to the marina to hang out with friends. Great place to chill.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely due for a remodel and some upgrades. We had trouble with our key card all 3 days we stayed and even after we got new ones. The restaurant at this hotel had great food. The bar was lacking with a very small selection and physical very small as well. A big factor for us choosing here was we wanted the lake view. Judge for yourself from pics below but we were disappointed with the view we got.

We rented a boat as well from the Kentucky Dam Marina which we found out is a sepert ententy. The ski boat was a good but was very pricey! At a half day rental (4hrs) it cost us $450. They were accommodating as we were early and they gave us a couple extra hours.

We attended the fireworks. We got there late and still found parking. Had a great time!

Looking for a place to have a wedding decided to do it here beautiful scenery and not to expensive exactly what we were looking for

Beautiful. KY has such amazing parks but this one is amazing even for them.

Excellent experience with my conference. Rooms were nice, with a fully stocked kitchen and two comfortable beds per room. WiFi was fine in the conference center, but very patchy in some of the cabins.

We come every year for our work conference. It is a beautiful park and the staff is amazing. Emily at the front desk was simply amazing, she is polite, thorough and has such an amazing and calming attitude. I've been coming for probably 21 years and Emily is an asset to the park. THANKS karen and chefs too.

Visited every year for about 6-10 years. Got 2 bedroom cabins. Everything excellent.

Very awesome hotel! Best around Kentucky Lake! Met new people and also had a good supper in the restaurant downstairs! Plenty of outdoor walking spaces. You can even walk out and fish on the lake! Awesome pool and nice service and rooms!

While I was there the facilities were clean and neat, the area around the lake was well-maintained, and every place was well-labeled with signs. I truly enjoyed the time spent there.

Played the golf course and it was reasonable. The greens were in great shape.

The Cabins were so nice, and it was so beautiful and peaceful! The staff were helpful in every way, we will definitely visit again!

Horrible Cottages- Booked a 1BR non-refundable room for one night. We went to check out the cottage a few days in advance and they looked like bath houses! Went to the counter to get a key to look inside and they said we were upgraded to a 2BR because they had a water leak- great! Went to check out the cottage. It had a nice yard and deck but the inside was outdated and gross. It smelled terrible and was cramped. The cottage was not near as nice as pictured online. I called a few days later to upgrade because we had a few more people coming than we had originally planned and the office informed us that we could not upgrade. Excuse me? We're paying a couple hundred more and you can't upgrade us when you just told me you had it available for that night? It made no sense at all. We spoke with the staff twice and the supervisor Emily. Worst customer service.

it was nice. Nothing over the top but it got the job done

We had an overnight stay at the cottages for our girls softball team. The cottages were very clean, neat and very spacious to accommodate all of our guest and the party for our girls season opener. Will use these cottages again in the future.

As part of my "must visit every state park in Kentucky" venture, this is park #3 that we visited on Oct. 7, 2015.
When you get to the park, if you have a reservation, you just proceed to the campsite. You can pick up a site map at the little building at the entrance to the campground.
The park was very nice, and the bathrooms very clean. This park is on the western side of the "land between the lakes", so if you're wanting to visit that island area you can do a day trip there.
We ate an early dinner at the resort restaurant.
