Rooms are bland with antiquated tech. But there's plenty of communal space and I came here for a family reunion not to watch TV. We were going to rent a boat but the marina was completely sold out

Kentucky Dam Village is right on the river, you can see it from the lobby. There is a restaurant on site called Harbor Lights which serves a buffet or you can order from the menu. It is clean and the service is good. The rooms are large each one has a balcony with a river view. There is a pool overlooking the river, as well.
We went for the Friday night buffet and the food was delicious. It was also nice that they had some non traditional dishes, like Bison chili and Tex-Mex lasagna.
First impressions: cat with 2 kittens made an appearance as we checked in, and the grounds are very neat. Cabin is more like a small house than a camping place, and designed very practically. Spacious rooms and living/ dining area with a kitchen in an open concept. Cut off a fox chasing a rabbit on our way from the office to the cabin, a really cool sight!
the place was a perfect getaway. it was quiet. room was clean. no fridge or microwave in the room. there's ice machine outside the room. people were all nice!
The only problem with the location is the tucks. In 30 minutes I found 6 ticks crawling on my body. My family and I rented a cottage. The cottage is very nice, inside and outside.
Very nice place with a tremendous view of the lake. I actually stopped in because of their supposed large gift shop. I was greatly disappointed. Seemed like about 25 items to choose from. However, clearly most people aren't going there for the gift shop and for all else, I have no doubt that they're a stellar establishment. It was very clean and again, location is fantastic.
Great place for a fun weekend. When we were tucking in our kids the last night, my son started tearing up and said, "I'm going to miss Kentucky!" Thanks for the great lodging and hospitality
Perfect cottage for a weekend. VERY clean! The bed was very comfortable even if it s just a double! Everything is nice and the houses are spread out. We took a walk down to the golf course which was very nice. No complaints!
We stayed at the campground and everything was great, especially the people. They were quiet at night, offered to help and gave us info on what to do in the area. The only problem was the electric outlets were far away from the parking spots for the campsite and we have an electric car, so we had to park in the grass to charge.
I drove from Colorado, 17.5 hours, and was told we could not stay several hours after arrival. When we talked to the staff they simply said there was nothing that could be done- I will be breaking a 50 year tradition as we are not able to go again. 0 stars. No responsibility. You are better off at Pattys or any other place. Please do not rely on this place for your Kentucky Lake vacation. This was a disappointing and financially devestating choice- shame on this business for taking advantage of poor weather.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely due for a remodel and some upgrades. We had trouble with our key card all 3 days we stayed and even after we got new ones. The restaurant at this hotel had great food. The bar was lacking with a very small selection and physical very small as well. A big factor for us choosing here was we wanted the lake view. Judge for yourself from pics below but we were disappointed with the view we got.
We rented a boat as well from the Kentucky Dam Marina which we found out is a sepert ententy. The ski boat was a good but was very pricey! At a half day rental (4hrs) it cost us $450. They were accommodating as we were early and they gave us a couple extra hours.
It's sad that they took the electric out of some of the good spots. But there are some good spots left but the ones we like they took the electric out. Should have put in sewer hookups while redoing the water lines. Camp at this place alot but getting harder to get a spot because they done away with electric hookups. Still camp there when we can get a spot.
Stayed in one of the 3-bed/3-bath executive cottages & loved it. Huge windows, lots of room, & a spaceous desk. Staff was friendly & cottage was clean. We'll definitely be back.
Loved the room the beds were soft very friendly staff the house keeping provided very good service. I loved being able to look out at the dam and walk my kids around it. Can't wait to come back.
The area that the facility is fantastic. The suite was spacious and clean. There were no paper towels and was lacking some kitchen implements. But all in all... very enjoyable.
