Very inefficient operation. I always have to send my credit card payment the very day after receiving the bill or risk getting charged a late fee. Twice now I have been hit with a late fee for a payment that was sent in two weeks ahead of the due date. They try to tell me that the USPS is slow but I never have this problem with any other institution. I have payments going to places like Utah that get there just fine. This place is just across town! No... it's a Kemba problem. Not a USPS problem. Whoever is managing the processing department needs to be fired.

A bad day in my life to be member of this bank! Earlier payment was withdrawn within 2-3days, this time they pulled in 9 days later. And put my account on post mark, also lower my score by 136 points. Is this sounds regional. I called them they said late payment. But I send the payment a week before the due date. They obviously tried to put me down. So what is next do I need to do let me support and suggestions to resolve this issue! Hope it worth to me.
I went in the Clintonville branch at about 3;45 yesterday. I had a very warm reception from an African American young woman. She was very receptive to my needs and we enjoyed a very nice conversation during my time in the office. She is a perfect example of what true customer service should reflect. Thank you I wish I would have remembered her name.
I have been banking with Kemba for almost 8 years now and I have never had an issue. They are amazing, attentive and resolve things quickly and always have awesome customer service!
This financial institution is a third rate organization. We would have never consciously utilized these folks, however, the MAG Auto dealership in Columbus utilizes them for some transactions. First of all, their user interfaces and systems are antiquated. Second, we have been trying to get this organization to send us a copy of our auto title since we moved from the state and need to have our car registered going on two months now. Bank of America sent us a copy of our title right for our other auto right away. These guys keep punting us to the County Clerk, who doesn t have a copy of the actual title. Kemba doesn t have folks dedicated to this issue and have absolutely no clue. Not financial professionals. Not properly trained. No specialists in the auto loan area. Avoid this financial institution at all costs. If your auto dealer says your loan is through Kemba, don t buy the dang car. Save yourself the headache.
I applied for a loan with UpStart last month and the loan was approved through Kemba Financial since they re local to my area. I wish I d declined their approval. The approval itself came fast enough and the loan terms seemed fine so I accepted, but the process from there on has been an absolute nightmare. Kemba states that, if you accept and sign off on the loan terms by a certain time on a business day, the funds will be placed into your bank account on the next business day (or within 3 days at the latest if you don t sign off by the certain time listed). I signed off after the cut off, so I figured I d wait three days and the funds would be there. Not including the weekend, by the fourth day the money was still not in my account. I called their customer service line multiple times trying to get an answer, and after dealing with their phone tree over and over just to speak to a live person, I had about had it. I spoke to two representatives from different departments who took the first five minutes of the call to explain to me how long it would take for the money to appear, only for them to realize that my wait time had indeed passed their advertised three day mark, and then they each scrambled with trying to explain what the problem could be. Neither were able to give me answer but assured me the funds would be in my account by close of business. They weren t. I called back the next day, dealt with their nightmare of a phone tree AGAIN, and spoke with a very helpful representative who did her very best to figure out the problem. It still took nearly an hour before an answer was reached and I was irritated because I had applied for this loan out of an urgent need and was starting to worry I wouldn t have the funds I needed in time. Finally got that all squared away, the funds turned up, I made my first payment ahead of my due date on the loan, and thought that would be that until February. Just checked my account to see that in spite of me having already paid my balance for the month Kemba took out a second payment from my linked bank account without any notice. Nowhere in any of the papers or online files I signed did I agree to have automatic payments set up. I had already paid this month s amount, and am now double that amount short in my bank account because I wasn t expecting them to remove the amount AGAIN after the balance this month was already taken care of. At the very least, a heads up email would have been nice so I could make changes to the withdrawal before it happened. I m just damn lucky I had extra funds in my account or I d have been screwed for this month s bills. Kemba feels like an absolute scam and as soon as this loan is paid off I will not be looking back.
The people at the Whitehall Branch are Rude and NEVER seem to have enough people to help with our banking needs!! When my daughter went to talk w/someone about becoming a member they promised us the world (great, expedite, helpful customer service, AND we'll help you with your Student Loans). Now we need help from Kemba to help w/my daughters student loan and we are getting NO help! Only 2 people for the entire Kemba Corporation that works on Student Loans! One is on vacation and the other one . . . Well they'll get back w/you when they can . . . Really!? Thanks for being there for all our banking needs. She will be changing Credit Unions!
Poor customer service as I'm behind on my car payment tell me they would give me a month to make a payment and boom 3 days later they come and take it and refuse to say they didn't say that. Yeah a better way to bank huh
During our weekly AM-SPIRIT meetings it's always a pleasure to hear how well Derek speaks with everyone. He is clearly educated and a good conversationalist.
