Dr. Rosenberg in Urology is a wonderful Dr. explains things and has a Dr/patient relationship with me. Dr Ozel is the best Gyncologist. She is very understanding and compassionate. She explains in detail and has answers to your questions. Dr Aharonian is the best Dr in Internal medicine. These are just a few of the Best Doctors I have had an experience with. I ve been treated with utmost respect and care. Would never consider going somewhere else.

Most knowledgable and friendly staff in comparison to other hospitals I've been to. My husband had two surgeries there. The service he received was impeccable.

*iziezi, I believe you made a mistake, there is no emergency at this hospital.

Initially, my reaction to being a patient in this hospital was very good. The staff seemed knowledgeable and helpful. However, when I was discharged, the hospital failed to correctly fill the doctor's prescription and I went a full week with increasing pain because I was not given any anti-inflammation drugs. That substantially slowed my recovery from spine surgery and made it much more painful. In addition, the hospital center repeatedly failed to bill my insurance, leaving me to chase after them to get billing corrected. One nurse told me that the billing office was "incompetent." Further, post-op I was placed in a room with a man who was highly contagious with diarrhea and I would up with the same disease for six weeks. In addition, the sight in my left eye was damaged during surgery and more surgery was needed to fix that failure by the hospital staff.

Very understanding and professional. Great bedside care! The nurses are always very sweet and caring, and treat the patients like actual people.
My mom had back surgery done by Dr. Hsieh and he's honestly so amazing.
He took the time when he could to update me on everything that was going on, explaining in great detail.
I don't too much like hospitals, but if I had to pick one to be at, it'd 100% be here!

The medical staff are great and the doctor's are well trained.

However the billing is a mess. Multiple departments will contact you asking for money. No one will have the clear picture, as each billing department has no visibility to your other charges. I asked for a clear billing statement and received a confusing invoice with scribbles on it, it also was a partial statement as the departments act independently.

They also are horrible at communication. I was sent to collections for a bill I had no idea I even owed. I only found out because my credit report which I monitor monthly. Once I found out I payed it in full. They just have such a poorly designed system. Frankly, I believe it is unethical how they manage their patient's medical billing. Unless you have insurance where all doctor visits are paid for, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save yourself. Do not add this confusion and unrest to your life, choose another hospital.

I entered Keck hospital USC in the month of November 2018. I was suffering from aorta dysection. I stayed in the hospital until middle of January. I ended with three heart attacks and two aorta and three major surgeries, one surgery with a complete chest removal. I just want the staff to see what I'm able to do today thinks that they saved my life.Have a great wonderful Christmas God bless you.

I had surgery here to get a cyst removed from my pancreas and they took really good care of me. The doctors, nurses, and housekeepers were all very wonderful. There was one nurse in particular that was really amazing she gave me and other mother patients there a rose for Mother s Day and I just feel like she went beyond, her name was Tamara. I am just very thankful to everyone that took care of me and assisted with my recovery as well as Dr. Dhanireddy who was the surgeon that removed the cyst. My experience here was just wonderful.

There is a major corruption in this place. This hospital charged me a bill for the amount that my family never owed (should've been paid by my insurance) but they continue to send me a bill. A few days ago, they send me a final notice that I'd need to pay the balance or they will take a further action!!! I will not recommend this place to anyone!

The doctors are horrible at getting things done and all the staff lies you have to keep asking for things to be done especially for cancer patients i would never recomend this hosputal for cancer patients...to update they are horrible again i will say they sent my dad home to supposably die on hospice and they let him get over dehydrated and sent him home all bleeding out and much more he went to a regular dr for thek ti say what the hell were they doing to you over there they werent even taking care of you or helping you more like helping him die.. And now he is off hospice and getting better care and dr menendez us horrible as well.

I spent some time here for a botched gallbladder surgery I had at California Hospital. I was always super comfortable, well informed, and treated well during my stay. I had to make a few trips after I was discharged for a drain I had to have in for a few months, and it was always pleasant.

They performed titers to check for my immunization...

They performed titers to check for my immunization levels a year ago before I left for school. They failed to send the records to my school. After calling several times, I finally got the records sent. That was a year ago... I told them I'd be moving and gave them my new address. They apparently sent a bill I never knew about to my old address and the mail was returned due to my address change. They had (and still have) my current phone number on file, but never once tried to call me. A year later (now), without knowing anything about the bill, I get a call from an incredibly unprofessional collections agency. After hours on the phone, I find out that they simply send you to collections without trying to contact you if you move. Now they are ruining my excellent credit and have no remorse. They just want the money. This place only cares about money... Terrible people.

Amazingly wonderful staff, great doctors, wonderful atmosphere. My father had the best care that I could of ever have asked for, there aren't enough stars to rate this hospital properly. The best care from the moment they called to schedule his surgery, thank you Graciela Cedana for all you have done to help my father, it is truly and sincerely appreciated. Thank you to the angels at USC Keck Medical hospital.

I have visited this medical center for the last 7 years for a pituitary tumor that had grown back after a previous surgery to remove it. I have visited Dr. Gabriel Zada for the entire time of my treatment. From the minute we met Dr. Zada we felt like he knew me and wanted the best care for me and my situation. After three years of seeing him, I decided that surgery was the best method of treating my tumor. His miracle hands were amazing. He was assuring leading up to the surgery and in the post op visit. I have since returned yearly for the past three years to check up on the possible return of the tumor. Three years and no trace. He is a miracle worker. I highly recommend Dr. Zada to anyone needing any type of neurosurgery, especially those dealing with a pituitary tumor that can be debilitating. He is amazing. Don't delay seeing such a competent doctor!!!! He is the best.

Went here for a thyroidectomy which was performed by a prestigious surgeon. Surgery went well as with follow ups; however, the bills never end. I have PPO that covers almost 95% of everything but the bills keep coming from different departments of which I keep paying out of pocket for. Just when you and your insurance think everything is taken care of another bill magically appears months later!
Now I know why this hospital looks like Rodeo Dr. they forever keep charging you. Beware, don't be fooled by the propaganda this hospital spends millions on as there are other hospitals to choose from such as UCLA or John Hopkins.

Arrived at 9 am to check in for 11 am shoulder reversal surgery for my 78 year old mom. All went smoothly - nursing staff great everywhere, but VERY UPSET that we have been in recovery for over 5 hours! It's 8:43 pm, and her surgery was completed at 3:15! I would have given 4-5 stars had it not been for the inordinate wait for a room.

If I could leave more stars I would. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis Dec 21st 18, when I was told my diagnosis I wanted more information. What the heck is MS!? The neurologist said don t worry right now it s the holidays , we ll talk more after . What!? So there I was on a hospital bed confused and I only had google to ease that confusion. I am so grateful and I think grateful comes short to how I felt after seeing Mustafa Ansari. Five months into my diagnosis i don t feel the confusion I was left with after being told I have MS. Thank you so much Dr. Ansari for explaining MS to me in such depth and taking me out of that confusion. Perhaps I won t remember everything in some days but this gratitude will forever be remembered.

I continue to receive bills for services rendered more than 6 months ago. I have recently received (and unfortunately paid) yet another bill for just under 200 dollars. Avoid this hospital, they criminally over-bill their patients.

USC Keck Hospital and Norris Cancer Center provide remarkably high quality medical services, in all possible aspects.
Doctors are real experts in their fields, making use of cutting edge technology and the most advanced equipment.
Dr. Monish Aron MD, Urology Department, saved my life on 2013, removing cancer from my right kidney with the use of the DaVinci robotic surgery equipment at Keck Hospital. Amazing medical expertize and remarkable advanced technology.
Dr. Mark Humeyun MD at the USC Eye Intitute, saved my right eye vision after an unexpected retina detachment on 2014.
Dr. Jonathan Song at the USC Eye Institute successfully removed abnormal tissue from my left eye cornea, saving my vision on 2015. Both doctors are remarkably knowledgeable, professional and kind.
All personnel at Keck and Norris, from the valet attendants, office personnel, doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrators, have always been the very best possible.
I am extremely grateful and satisfied with all the services and professional care I have received from them, during the last three years, since my first visit in 2013.
Thank you so much for being there for us.
George Frank Carrillo and family.

great doctors fantastic nurses and hospital staff. I am a current patient recovering from neck surgery the hospital assigns too many patients to each nurse and especially the patient care techs, that it's hard for patients who really need attention to get proper care.

I accompanied my husband to an appt with Dr Ray Matthews. Cardiology Dept & interacted with several staff members. I was blown away by their care, efficiency, & kindness. The office was impeccably clean & very comfortable. The hospital lobby waiting room was unbelievable. There was a baby grand player piano playing music, complimentary water flavored with fresh fruit for guests & a free cell phone charging station. Lunch in the hospital cafeteria- nice variety of items. We had coconut fish with fried rice & mixed broccoli, yellow squash & carrots. Delicious!

Just had 1 night stayover on 6th FL (specialized in Urology). Staff was excellent and professional. They worked very hard and diligently to serve me through the night, tending to me every hour. This is the entire staff, nurse, CNA and even charge nurse. I am very impressed, as I have a lot of experience with other hospitals (Cedars, UCLA & Huntington). Of all, these are most diligent.

Good service. I'm the one that acted wrong. My ride cancel at last moment he got caught in work and could not get out. And I said things to staff should not have. I will have to send some snacks and flowers to apologize....

Most if not all negative reviews are due to patients disputing billing problems. Which in my opinion should not be a factor in grading a medical facility. These people saved your life. Pay the damn bill. Thats only rite. I have just inquired about joining the kidney transplant program and so far. Friendly, helpfull, informative staff. With further interaction and treatment im sure they will earn the fifth star.

I had brain surgery on 9/27/18 and have to say that the pain management protocol was horrible. Even when I told them certain medications didn't work, they continued to prescribe the same thing. I have a very high pain tolerance and if I say I'm in pain, I'm not kidding. I was discharged 2 days post surgery and was given 2 days worth of painkillers upon release. What a joke. I continue to have severe headaches after 6 days. My conclusion is that they don't believe you have pain or don't care. Either one is unacceptable given today's medical proof that pain (especially severe) hinders recovery.

I had brain surgery at Huntington Hospital 2 months ago and they explained the importance of pain management and encouraged me to let them know if I had any pain. I never expected not to have any but when I told USC it was an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale, they never took measures to correct the problem.

Finally, I was discharged without any real communication with a doctor. I wonder if they would treat their family members that way?

By the way, I made my concerns known, in writing on their website, while I was in the hospital and received no response even though I put my room number in my message.

This is a great hospital. I've been going here for awhile and staff here is very knowledgeable, caring, and professional.

+iziezi bell You reviewed the wrong hospital. Keck hospital does not have an emergency room. I believe you may be talking about county USC medical center. There are two separate hospitals in that area.

Two surgeries (11/27/2018; 04/09/2019) with two superb surgeons within months apart. I am so blessed to have chosen Keck Hospital. My overnight stay (3 days) in ICU 8 West was a wonderful experience including Recovery (5 days total) in 9 East West. The nurses are amazing and follow up staff incredibly talented and helpful took excellent care of me. I also experienced the Pet Therapy dogs who visited my room while in Recovery. Overall I give Keck 5 stars.

Amazing and blessed experience! My father had open heart surgery. Valve replacement and the MAZE by Dr. Baker and his team. Every single doctor, nurse, monitor tech., patient care tech. Respiration tech. And Therapist have been outstanding and professional. I am so thankful we were able to get a second opinion and bring him here. The expertise and knowledge is ongoing. We placed all of our trust in each individual here and they all contributed to the care of my father. After 7 days we were confident that we could continue the care and support at home with the knowledge we gained here. Thank you from the top.... Middle....side...bottom of our HEARTS! Specialists at the USC Eye Institute saved my eyesight. My doctor in Internal Medicine is excellent at listening and providing care that addresses my medical conditions and helps me stay healthy. My experiences at Keck Medicine have been very positive and they have so many outstanding specialists that I know I can get the best of care for whatever I may need.

Was my first time there I drive all the way from Irvine to see dr Donna shoupe obgy, i called the hospital to inform them that I am 5 mins late first you have to wait for 5 mins for someone to answer she said it's fine you have 15 mins grace anyway I came in no one gave me good direction to which building I should go too they kept on taking me back and forward between buildings
O got to the dr office finally after the drive from Irvine I told them I was lost there . They didn't let me in
I wasted my time I had to leave my job early and drive for one hour and 15 mins and they didn't even see me
Very bad experience will never ever come in again and will not refer it to anyone

They ruined my credit score for 7-10 years, putting me in a particularly inconvenient position as a recent USC MBA graduate. I received a notification from Credit Karma saying my score had changed, and when I logged in I saw that it was from USC sending two medical bills I never even knew about to a collections agency.

After speaking with the collections agency and USC, they say USC sent the two bills to an address I had since moved from. When I asked why they didn't call, they said they did, so I asked them what number they called. It was off by a number because someone didn't input it correctly.

The result? Not one, but TWO derogatory remarks on my credit score because they submitted TWO bills that I never knew about to the collections agency. These bills totaled less than $500: clearly something I would have been more than happy to pay right then and there and not something I'm dodging.

I asked both if they could do anything about removing the derogatory remarks and they just said they tried contacting me, and they can't do anything about it. Way to set your graduating students out on a good path, USC.

Dr. Shaker is my gastroenterologist, and she's great. She has good bedside manner, spends time and actually listens to you, and everything about my endoscopy was handled really well.

The problem is, she's almost impossible to get in to see because she only works "every other Thursday until 12:30." How do I get a work schedule like that?? I am still trying to schedule a follow-up that was supposed to happen in January! I had an appointment for July 3 and I got a letter in the mail (not even a phone call) saying that I need to reschedule because she won't be in that day. Next available was July 24 at an inconvenient time for me -- but I took it because otherwise I might not get in to see her before the end of the year.

Scheduling here is completely ridiculous. I have this problem with every USC doc that I see, and I'm seriously considering switching.

I've had a few experiences with Keck and I'm decidedly NOT a fan. Waiting rooms become crowded past 8. They mix the sick and the not-sick into the waiting areas. The wait-times are long, even for the first appointment as they double and triple-book.

This place, once an incredible medical facility, has become an industry and is all about making money.

There are better places to go in LA for medical care.

My mother had heart surgery here. She almost died before she was transferred to Keck. Dr. Hackman and most of the nurses in the icu helped bring her back to life. It was the scariest 6 weeks in a coma but they did everything they could to nurse her back to life. My ONLY complaint (take it as a warning) is that some of those nurses were witches that didnt give a hoot about her well being and i had to keep my eye on them and get the charge nurse on them several times to switch nurses. Other than the few bad nurses that made my mothers experience a nightmare in those days,it would have been a perfect 5 stars.

I was doing a Ex Lap case the RN did not want to do a final count. I refused to leave the OR until the count was done the tech who was supposed to relieve me was in another OR room asleep. The next day I was taken off the schedule when I returned to work I was told that it was my last day no explanation. I believe I was treated this way because I am black. The OR has very unsafe practices. The manager Kelly leaves everyday early leaving the OR staff with little or No support. I filed a incident report with the hospital they never contacted me. I filed a complaint with the labor commissioner office and OSHA for retaliation termination and wages owed against USC verdugo Hills Hospital
